A ton of fun. One of our kids' favorites. We return several times each year. Plan 2 hours and plan to get a workout!!!! Sunscreen is a must, to be sure.

First Flight Adventure Park is a very unique place that's full of fun obstacles. The employees are very friendly and great cheerleaders when you're feeling most challenged. They conduct a helpful training session so don't worry if you're not sure about the use of the equipment. Be prepared to be there for 2 hours....and pace yourself. This is not an easy course to complete. But it is a lot of fun. The only con: the price. It's $49 a person.

THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME!!! There are 6 total courses and any level can definitely make it through at least a few. I ended up doing the highest 4 levels and it was exhausting and super good exercise. All of the staff is amazing and if you get stuck are willing to assist you. 10/10 would recommend for any age!!!

Guides were absolutely excellent and fun the whole 2.5 hours my 11year old son & I were on the course. Very safe and outstanding layout for all ages. I dare any of you dads to crush the ring obstacle like I did!!

First Flight Adventure Park is the ONE and ONLY Aerial Adventure Park on the Outer Banks! Located at MP 16 in Nags Head. The Aerial Park is designed for ages 6 and up and thrill seekers of varying levels. So bring the family along for the adventure of a lifetime! 48 obstacles ranging from 12-50 feet above the ground, will test your mental and physical limits. With obstacles named The Shipwreck Bridge, Buoy Buster, and Jelly Fish Traverse, you know you are in for a good time.

I recommend having a camera at or near the ring obstacle since the background with the sound is so eye catching.

SO MUCH FUN! This…read morewas our first zipline experience, and this place went above my expectations. My 9 year old was close to the weight limit and our guides let her do a few to test. Luckily we were able to go the whole way and we are so thankful - she can't stop talking about how much fun it was. Our guides, Mr. Bob and Mr. Kim were encouraging for everyone, especially one member of the group who was pretty scared and she also made it the whole way. They also kept encouraging my kiddo, which I think added to her bravery It was overcast so not a sun issue but it was humid because of the type of environment. Make sure to hydrate! There was a water station half way through. Also, bug spray is recommended. Some of the group didn't wear any and got a couple bites. Also comfy loose clothing and closed toe shoes. Overall I think this was exactly the place we wanted - it wasn't some commercial theme attraction but a real zipline experience. We will go again if we visit the area again. Thanks Mr. Bob and Mr. Kim!!!

The course involves a bit of walking (a little over a mile in total) and some stairs. I recommend you wear comfortable clothes (with long pants or long shorts due to the safety harnesses) and an old pair of athletic sneakers (it can get muddy in the Wetlands but more importantly because you'll be using your feet to help slow yourself down and stop at the end of each line). Each line is fast and smooth. And, the experience was made even better by the unique challenges/themes created by Jimmy and Hally, which included "Cannonball," "Walking the Plank," "Trust Fall," "Action Movie Star," and "Race". It was a lot of fun and we would do it again. ps: Extra shout out to the friendly, calm course dog Cara (Biner)!

Take my 5 stars!…read more Very first time coming here. I had been wanting to bring my 3 kids here for a long time. So we finally went yesterday. Our visit was during their Glow in the Park event. It delivered beyond what I could have imagined. We purchased tickets and completed waivers online. So when we got there we parked and walked right in to the store/registration area. The rep at the counter was super nice and helpful. I was the only one who didn't do a waiver online so I had to do it on the computer when I got there. Don't worry, super simple and quick. If you didn't bring gloves, you can purchase some here. We didn't bring or buy gloves and our hands weren't too rough at the end of the night. After checking in, we were directed to the pre-climb meeting area. Here we watched a short video which was very informative and we're instructed on how to put on our climbing rigs and how to operate the equipment when climbing. One of the amazing parts about this is that they made the instructions very simple and easy to understand. Plus, after they show you how to use the equipment and put on the climbing rig, they take you to a small practice area where you get to tryout the operations you'll be doing once you're up in the trees. There's so much more I can say but don't want to be too long winded! After directions, instructions, and practice, you're ready to climb! So you head on over to the central platform! This is where every climb begins (the engineering and design of this park is remarkable). There are varying levels of difficulty for the climbs ranging from purple (young kids mainly) all the way up to double black diamond. Because we had children with us, we weren't able to go past blue difficult (even though blue had some questionable and pretty difficult obstacles lol). Not only were the climbs long in duration (some up to an hour long) but they included amazing obstacles and zip lines! The children absolutely loved it. I believe, I think, we were only supposed to be climbing for an hour but somehow we ended up climbing for 3! Not sure if this was because the park wasn't that busy or what, but thank you!!! One of the things I loved about this place is that the employees didn't smother you with over-supervision or excessive rules. They taught you what you needed to know and let you go! Love that and thank you! If you're looking for a place to get your kids outside, get them some exercise, build character through navigating obstacles, overcoming fear and challenges, fun lights in the trees at dark!, this is the place! We're definitely considering the season pass! Sorry, no pics because it wasn't a great place to have a phone on you.

They also have great recommendations for which course to do next. I did have to use one of the emergency exits in one of the courses and they didn't make me feel like a failure. They validated that it was an actual hard course and I made the right choice. I just love coming here.

It's one big colorful party! You go on the course and there are different color stations where people are either throwing color, spraying you with color in water guns, and at one station a girl was color drenched hugging everyone. At the end of the course it's one huge after party! They'll have contests, they'll throw color packets at you to throw on your friends, and tons of music to dance your heart out. We ended up with color in my mouth, and up my nose. We got there 20 minutes before our 10 heat, but we went ahead with everyone else. The event seemed a bit disorganized. When we got to where the crowd was nobody could tell us where we were supposed to go for the main event and it was the first time my husband and I participated. During the race they ran out of water bottles on the course and the course was scattered with plastic bottles. It was a bit disappointing considering the price that we paid for our tickets, but we took it in stride. If you want water along the course please being your own just to be safe. During the after party they were dumping gel buckets on people and we wanted to participate. We stood in line for awhile, but nobody told people that we needed tickets for it. At the after party they gave us a granola bar and bottled water. It was a lot of fun with people throwing color packets everywhere, loud music, contests, and dancing. I'd love to attend an event again, but at the moment I'm unsure.
