I have found the actual surgeons and practitioners to be fine. My issues are with the clerical and support staff. Rarely does anyone actually answer the phone. Everything goes to voicemail and only occasionally do they return your call in a timely manner. I get the distinct impression that everyone is overworked since the waiting room is always packed. I also have an issue with the cleanliness of the consultation rooms. If you look closely at the picture you can see how dirty and smudged the exam table, floor and stool are. 2.2 stars. I'm not surprised after our experience. Sports parents, avoid this place like the plague. Son needed a clearance note from the doctor to be allowed to play high school baseball. Game is Tuesday, my sons mom calls Monday and leaves a message. No call back. Tuesday morning leave another message. Midday realizing they were not going to call her back, she calls until she gets a hold of someone. This employee was super irritated and immediatly became difficult because she had the power to be. "We have 72hrs to get the note out." Whatever, son has a game on Thursday. He will have to miss one. Thursday comes and goes. Mom calls Thursday morning, "We will put a rush on it." Long story short, Friday at 5pm they finally emailed it. Employees treat customers like it's an "US vs Them" game. When I looked up the reviews when I was ready to write one. It made sense. Here's what CHATGPT said about the "procedure" being charged for $331: No cast, no boot, brought your own x-ray -- is this charge legit? Unfortunately -- yes, technically. Billing guidelines allow for charging closed fracture care even if: No cast or boot was applied No manipulation was done X-ray was provided by the patient It's considered a "global" fracture care charge -- covering the evaluation, treatment plan, and usually includes follow-ups for that injury. BUT... You could challenge it if: The doctor did nothing except look at your x-ray and say "yep, it's broken." No exam, no advice, no instructions, no plan = not really fracture care. Conclusion: $419 to use the room for 10 minutes $571 for the guy to walk in the room confirm the previous diagnosis and say yeah stay of it or don't it's up to you. Both my wife and I are patients of this practice and we both needed new hips this past year. Go figure. Ahh, the married couple who shares hip replacement surgery together, stays together. LOL. Our surgeon Dr Tooma and his NP Assistant Demetrio were great. He listened to our symptoms, did a thorough examination, ordering some tests, came back and explained the results, then reviewed our options and what our next steps might be. In the end, my wife went first and I was her wingman. I helped her over her three months of Post-Op and then she helped me. I recently had my three month followup and things are progressing nicely. From the moment I got there I was taken care of. The front desk got me a same day appointment. My PA Ashley Hiller was amazing at getting my diagnosis quick and advocating for my surgery for my Achilles. I always felt like I was in good hands with her. My nurse Geneva was my light at the end of the tunnel. Every visit she was knowledgeable, fun, full of smiles and laughs but always made me feel safe and comfortable and reminded me this is temporary. I often felt weak and less than during my injury and she was always able to melt that away. Dr. Tooma did my surgery and was very knowledgeable and made me feel safe before and thru the surgery process. It gets a one only because there is an office. Here I am back on Yelp months after an issue with an MRI being ordered. Well guess what..went in with another issue on my hand and the PA said he would order an MRI. Waited 3 1/2 weeks and didnt hear or see anything regarding an MRI. I called the office and I was told the orser was sent to Radnet the same day I was in office. So glad they know how to communicate. I called Radnet and sure enough they had sent in a doctors order. I made an appointment and went there today ( 6 weeks since original appt) and was told by Radnet they couldnt see me because the Insurance had never authorized the MRI. So I call Corona Temecula Orthopedics only to find they never submitted it. Now if I miss an appt they will bill the insurance.....how about I bill Corona Temecula for 1 1/2 hours of my time and gas for an appt that was never authorized. Its unfortunate that I have to use this practice with my insurance because I have NEVER had a good experience in 5 years. I think Elon needs to go in and clean out the inefficiency! read more

He did a total knee replacement and left on vacation the next day without telling me who to contact or talk to if I had a problem. Which I did my knee got infected, I called Dr. Tooma a couple times without any return call from him or his office. A couple days later I went in and out of unconsciousness because, my blood pressure dropped so low and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. I don't remember a lot of what happened while I was there except for what my sons told me. I do remember the nurse that released me told me I'm very lucky to be here. Oh and the hospital tired to contact Dr. Tooma with no answer. I was released 3 days later and had a hard time getting pain medication from his office it was an every week ordeal because that's all they would call in. I'd really give this doctor a minus one if I could. Please do your research. read more

It's been 8 months since my total hip replacement and Dr. Ghassan Tooma, you have completely changed my life. 10 years of constant pain 24/7, being so depressed because I couldn't do anything myself. Using a walker, a wheelchair and a cane, to today 2-23-24. Today, I can walk normal now. No limping, no pain, no walker, cane or wheelchair. You have given me a second chance in life, and I am forever grateful. I have a skip in my step now and people see me now and say "You look great. You look younger & so happy" They are so right. Stink Stank Stunk!!! I've been coming here for a year to get a cortisone shot in my knees. At first it wasn't to bad but has since gone downhill. Some of the nice front desk staff are gone they left not sure why . Today was my last visit to this horrible place. First of all you wait an hour or more past your appointment time. Four people in the waiting room had the same appointment time as me. They only have two doctors working and at least 30 or more people waiting to be seen. Do they ever consider that some of us are in pain and sitting on those hard uncomfortable Good Will chairs does help. There are elderly patients waiting for over an hour and in pain Absolutely unacceptable!!! It's like your in the free clinic but there getting paid by all of are insurance companies including Medicare. There are plenty of doctors at other offices you can go to. I just started going to Dr Kellings at The Spine Institute in Murrieta. Awesome doctor and amazing staff beautiful office. He also does cortisone shots in the Knees etc. Good luck read more

I am amazed at the lies people write about Dr. Baum!!!!! Dr. Baum is not a good doctor he is reckless! Extremely irresponsible! I had a horrific experience with Dr. Baum who clearly doesn't have the education or experience to do complex cases so he turns you away!!!!!! If you like no care or the non plan plan, waiting hours to be seen while later appointments get called before you then this is your place!!!! Sending someone away is against everything the Hypocratic Oath he took to become a Doctor in the first place stands for!!! I feel fortunate to have had Dr. Eli Sayegh perform my shoulder replacement surgery. During my appointments with him he was terrific, informative,sensitive, knowledgeable. It's been 5 months since the surgery and after intense physical therapy I now have full movement of my shoulder without pain. Thank you Dr. Sayegh. I have been going to CTOA for over 4 years for knee , shoulder and hands issues. The doctors and PAs that I have seen are all professional, compassionate and kind. I have felt at ease and confident in receiving expert medical care. All of the staff is great too. I have been very impressed with my experience at CTOA the Murriets office. Went through 3 different PA's, the first was the worst didn't want me to converse at all. The other 2 were helpful.

Do not go here. I was referred from hospital to this location for a broken finger. I was seen by the PA, they wouldn't let me see the doctor. I was told my injury will be fine and to start PT. I received a second opinion and told that I should have had surgery from the beginning. Due to this providers incompetence it is now too late to correct my finger and have suffered pain, joint deformity and decreased movement. read more

I received a call & voicemail from the VA at 3:30 PM. The voicemail said that the receptionist she spoke to was adamant that I, the veteran, be the one to call and schedule my appointment (not how it typically goes for veterans but whatever) directly with the provider myself. It does not typically go like this because everything needs to be authorized prior to any care being given. I then called this provider and spoke with the most insufferable woman I have EVER encountered working in the medical field, Toni. This woman began to bark questions at me which I didn't think much of at first, until she asked me for my insurance information. Mind you, this is after she asked for my identifying information, I called 6 minutes after the VA left me a voicemail meaning she HAD JUST spoken to the VA about me specifically within 15 minutes of me calling. Yet, Toni, acts clueless when I say "The VA told me I had to call you, whats the purpose of it?" To which she ignored me and asked for my insurance information. I repeat that I am a veteran give her my social and tell her that "the VA just spoke to someone in that office and they said I had to call." She then tells me, "I don't know who spoke to them." This was the first lie, when I called my VA case manager (a title I chose since I don't know her actual title) she said she spoke with Toni as well and was met with complete disrespect as well and an attitude. Her disrespect was so bad that if it weren't for all of the posts on here about the ibismal patient care service there, specifically with the office staff, I would've assumed she was somehow being racist. That is the only reason someone would knowingly speak to A PATIENT, NOT A CUSTOMER, A PATIENT, in such a way. Bedside manner and respect and all the other polite qualities that one should have whilst working in the medical field, she did not have. To her this was Taco Bell and another customer is complaining about there being no more hot sauce. For someone to treat a patient with the same candor as a disgruntled fast food employee would is mind blowing. Toni needs to either find a new job at a fast food establishment or retire and be a miserable person with their own family. I immediately called back and spoke to Diana (the only one I spoke to that works here with any bit of respect), I informed her of my desire to speak to the office manager and file a complaint against Toni. She told me that the office manager, Emile, was presently in a meeting and would call me back. Around 430 I call back because I do not want to be brushed off and I get told by Diana that he is still in a meeting but he is aware of the situation and will call me by the end of the day. They close and I dont get a phone call. I call again at 8am the following day to file my grievance and I'm told that he is not in the office yet but will be soon. I ask for him to call me as soon as he gets in and if he doesn't that I will call back in 30 minutes. I call back at 8:35am and I'm told that Emile is in a meeting and will call me back after. I was told this again at 140pm & 307pm. I think I found one of the problems they have, which is an abenstee office manager. Finally at 4:11pm more than 24 hours after the fact he finally calls me and immediately goes into the the obligatory "thank you for your service" but didn't lead off with an apology or what was going to be done to rectify the issue. Emile then proceeds to announce his job title which wasn't office manager but rather "director of operations" or some other BS title - FYI Every office needs someone dedicated to managing office things, not someone trying to do 7 things at once, no wonder y'all have such trash reviews. - he then attempts to gaslight me by saying that "that's how important this was, I took time out of my busy schedule to handle this." If all that love for veterans crap and the importance of his job was real, why wasn't any of this handled during my MULTIPLE phone calls? you're not the surgeon, you're the office manager. Then he went on to place the blame on my PCP & the VA case manager... last I checked they dont work for this office and had nothing do with Toni's behavior nor Emile's attempt at running from complaints instead of handling them as they come up. This is long enough as is but I have so much more to say. -I will be following this up with the Medical board of California as I've already contacted them and they said that this is a reportable offense -I will be following up with the VA about my experience with the office staff here and be extremely adamant that veterans should no longer be sent here for treatment if possible or only as a last resort. -If your job involves the health and welfare of others and you do not treat EVERY PATIENT with COMPASSION AND RESPECT, you deserve nothing more than to be fired and to be ashamed of yourself. Absolute trash establishment that I have all this to say about and I didn't even get passed the receptionist. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Dr Eli Sayegh, Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is a compassionate, patient, knowledgable, thorough surgeon that took the time to explain each step of the process and make sure to address any concerns. He has a pleasant and friendly approach and we never felt rushed with our visits. We are extremely happy with the outcome of our procedure (full reverse shoulder replacement) and would highly recommend Dr Sayegh. It also helps that he's a Harvard trained physician in addition to his other accomplishments ! :) read more
