I saw Dr Pacheco for thoracic pain a year ago. i went to PT. Over time, the pain worsened. I returned. Was basically told I was old(72) and to take antidepressants. I had an unremarkable MRI(lumbar), though I requested both lumbar and thoracic. At the followup visit, I asked if I should have an X-ray to rule out vertebral fractures. He said, " what do you want?" I asked for his advice. He sarcastically asked my husband if he should get an X-ray. He said I was chasing diagnoses since I saw a cardiologist to rule out heart as the source of pain. He was completely inappropriate. I have never had a more inappropriate interaction with a physician. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for back care. I have seen all other doctors in this office without incident. read more

Hello everyone, I'm a 30 year old patient of doctor Pacheco's. I've been dealing with major back pain since I was 17 and over the years it had just became worse and worse to the point I was no longer able to work or function normally day to day. I had originally been referred to a different ortho specialist and had a horrible experience there. When I asked to get a new doctor doe a second opinion I was sent to Dr. Pacheco. Now when I first went to see him I didn't expect much, I knew my back was bad and there probably wasn't going to be many options for me. But Dr. Pacheco was a kind and understanding person, and luckily enough he had experienced similar people with my type of pain. Ultimately he provided me with the option of a spinal fusion, I won't lie I was nervous, but I could tell Dr. Pacheco was trustworthy and he was willing to give me another shot with a repaired back. It might not be brand new but he fixed me up. Dealing with chronic back pain as bad as mine really had me in a dark place mentally but Dr. Pacheco was able to give me hope again. read more

I called this organization today because of a referral from my primary care physician. What we have here is the tail wagging the dog! The gal that answered the phone I told her why I was calling said she would check in the back and be right back. I was on hold for over 5 minutes, 2 other people picked up the blinking line and asked if they could help and I explained I was being helped. Finally, someone else picked up the line and asked if she could help, I told her the other gal was checking. Out of her mouth she asked who is your insurance company and I told her it was VA, she very rudely stated we don't take VA, not I am sorry sir but rudely we do not take VA. What a rude bi^%ch. Dr. Andrew Erwteman has performed surgery in both of my shoulders and arms s absolutely amazing! In 2019 i was a body builder and had my first rotator cuff repair along with a bicep tenodesis 8 months after the initial injury. I luckily landed un his lao when his partner told me he wasn't sure he could repair my rotator cuff and that a cadaver patch may need to be used and i that case he said Dr Erwteman would be the guy who could do that surgery. Dr Erwteman is amazing!!! He was able to repair my shoulder without the cadaver patch!! In 2022 Dr Erwteman repaired all three heads of my right rotator cuff and performed a bicep tenodesis on my right arm. Both times we was told no lifting for six months and no heavy lifting for one year. I am now 11 months post op and i feel so darn good i am benching 165lbs for 8 reps. My previous max was 245lbs for one rep. I am not too far off!!! And i just started trying! I never thought i would bench over 135 again. Stupid i know, but it is what fills my cup. Dr Andrew Erwteman is the best! He seemed a little fuddy duddy to me at first. Of course i like to joke about everything... he appears to me now as a perfectionist about his work... bonus for us right? More than that, i truly felt like he was on my team always. He is so knowledgeable. He also shared that he had the same surgery at one point in his life. If you look at his credentials he is also a doctor of physical therapy. He knows this surgery from all aspects. From being a patient, a physical therapist helping patients recover to being the one doing the actual surgery. He takes the time to explain to you what needs to be done and what you need to be doing. I will always trust that he is the best doc there is when it comes to shoulders!! read more

Dr Pacheco and his staff have been lifesavers ! When I fractured my foot - no one could fit me in - doctors were completely booked 6 weeks out and I needed a cast ASAP! They squeezed me into their schedule and I got a cast ! They showed me a great deal of empathy and excellent medical care. Highly recommend ! read more

To any poor souls who gets Igor Jercinovich. (I won't even classify as a doctor) It's crazy how a doctor can tell you your X-rays look fine, without looking at them, literally. I sat there and stared at them seeing if he was even going to hold them to light.... nope. Giving me a go back date to work when he had no idea what my job entailed and what I fully do..Which is fully physical and especially with my hands. His math is a little poor for a doctor considering the changes to initial, and seemingly universal, healing time of 6-8 weeks for "integrated ligament" sprain on right hand- which he diagnosed. But I carefully, and obviously pointed that one out and managed to get 2 weeks time to heal. And all of this is him just guessing. No MRI option, no ultrasound. He wanted me out of that door. He's one of the grossest, incompetent "doctors" I have ever met with. Seriously, change doctors if he's yours. This rabbit hole only goes deeper. I was sent to him by my work.... and for some strange reason the connecting person is no longer listed as a "doctor"on their page as it was prior to my appointment. Shady AF read more

I was referred by my primary physician Dr. Black after being seen at a urgent care after suffering a knee injury. Followed by an MRI. I was sent to this office Temecula Valley orthopedics had a great doctor Dr. Ewertman. On serval occasions I needed to contact the staff and relay a message and or ask a question I called the front desk and they transferred me to the back office. I called three different times and left messages. one time inquiring about a prescription refill another time referring to a handicap parking. I never received ONE single call back. If it wasn't for Dr. Ewertman who called me post op I probably would of never have gotten my handicap parking. It's severely frustrating as a patient relying on a doctors office to return your calls and provide the service that they are required and expected to provide. My insurance company paid good money for me to have the surgery and get treated by this office. I was not treated professionally and or respect fully outside of the service and care of Dr. Ewertman. I hope there will be action taken on the staff in question. I also will relay this information to my primary who most likely will find another off to use. read more

It's not common that I feel compelled to leave a 5 star review, however in this case I feel I would be remiss if I didn't. I completely separated my patella tendon Thursday night. I went to the ER and got my leg stabilized and had to rely on my Primary Care doctor for further diagnosis and treatment. When I called on Friday morning they were too backed up to get me in and they were only working a half day. I went the weekend with no attention to the knee. On Monday they saw the knee and knew immediately I needed surgery, but I had to have an MRI first. My doctor also sent Dr Ewrteman's office my chart. The imaging companies were telling me it was going to take me 5 days to get the MRI clearance from my insurance, then they would schedule me. I had Jan from Dr Ewrteman's office call me to see when I was scheduled for the MRI, when I told her they hadn't scheduled me yet and we're waiting 5 days for them to clear the MRI with my insurance she called them and told them I needed it ASAP. They wouldn't agree to expedite the clearance. Jan said with this injury, time is a huge factor in my recovery, and since I already waited over the weekend I needed the MRI no later than the next day. She referred me to another imaging company which would cut insurance approval down to 4 days but Jan still wasn't satisfied. She got all of my insurance info and phone numbers and pushed through the MRI approval for the imaging company and got me in the next day. After the MRI results showed I needed surgery we had the same problem with the surgical center. Once again, Jan picked up the phone and pushed it through. I'll be getting my knee fixed in 8 days from the injury instead of the 13-15 days that it would have taken if she just let these third parties take their time. I have only good things to say about Fallbrook-Temecual Valley Orthopedic Associates and Dr. Brooks. I've been in for appointments three times since I tore my meniscus. The office staff and Dr. Brooks are very nice and make me feel comfortable. I was hoping to avoid surgery, and I like the fact I wasn't rushed into surgery. Things were looking good going that direction until my knee got worse. I'm scheduled for surgery later this month as an outpatient, but he told me if it gets considerably better before that date, I can still avoid surgery. Here's to hoping. read more

1/5/2018 In a world where people find it so easy to write and look at the negative, I find it even more important to speak out when we are treated well. Fallbrook-Temecula Valley Orthopaedic's (FTVO) office manger, Jan B, AND the incredible surgeon, Dr. Rolf Drinhaus, not only made a difference in my life but down right saved my life!! I am an obese patient suffering from early onset advanced osteoarthritis throughout my body. At the age of 51, my life was reduced to walking with walker. I was too young and truly "not living" with no quality of life presently or in my future. To Kaiser Permanente if you are obese, they have NO USE FOR YOU!! An obese person is not only NOT WORTHY but NOT worth taking any kind of chance on. Therefore, I was left with NO HOPE for my future. That is until I heard of Dr. Rolf Drinhaus and FTVO. One day I called and was blessed that the Office Manager, Jan, answered the phone. She listened to me and compassionately offered to speak directly to Dr. Drinhaus regarding my "case". I was overwhelmed with tears of joy when she called back AS PROMISED with a positive answer. I met and was overjoyed with speaking with Dr. Drinhaus. When I asked him "Why you? Why you when others would not help me?" His answer was that as a resident many years before, his mentor taught him that it is a good thing to not just take the cases that are easy. Two years later I have had both knees replaced and no longer require a walker or cane. My quality of life is so much better. Better and bigger than having artificial knees is the gift of having hope. Jan B and Dr. Drinhaus gave me that. During this entire ordeal, his office staff was friendly, compassionate and professional. They fought for me and my health. Now, I'm fighting for them with this positive (and grateful) review. Please remember to those who are negative, negativity breeds negativity. Kindness does the same. FTVO are an amazing team. My 93 y.o. Mother was having a lot of pain with her knee. We had consulted with another ortho doc before we found Dr Jercinovich. We were very impressed with the pristine office and extremely pleasant and professional staff. Dr. Jercinovich gave us his full/undivided attention. He was straightforward, and kind, in telling us that mom wasn't a candidate (age issue). He stayed with us while this bad news sunk in. We talked about other alternatives and he gave us some samples of a topical ointment for pain. We left feeling satisfied that we had been given due consideration. We would highly recommend this ortho office in general and Dr Jercinovich in particular. read more

I read the reviews prior to my scheduled appointment and thought, I'll make my own assessment. It was good. I'm sure with their busy schedules and in-patient patients, and all the running around the doctors and staff do, it gets busy for them. Dr. Ewertman, Nurse Sara and Jason were great. Friendly, understanding, caring and easy to work with. I have no complaints. Of course, I wasn't expecting to get injured and though it could always be worse. My husband had surgery on his ankle. Our insurance is Kaiser, but the ankle was an emergency break and had to go to Temecula Hospital for surgery asap. If you have Kaiser this office is definitely NOT going to help you. We had a follow up with Dr Drinhaus. At this time he looked at his work and sent us on our way. With only an ace bandage, for an ankle with 3 screws and plate. He wasn't even offered a chance to buy a cam boot. We were told that Kaiser would not pay for any other procedures or devices so we got nothing. Dr. Drinhaus did write a prescription for a cam boot for me to take to Kaiser and get it there. It takes time to get it through Kaiser because they have to refer me, which is totally understandable. Dr. Drinhaus' office staff is VERY RUDE. I spoke with the office manager on the phone, who told me that her name was "Jan B" She wouldn't tell me her last name. I feel that this level of nastiness and rudeness SHOULD NOT be tolerated as a supposed medical professional. Fallbrook/Temecula Valley Orthopedics should be avoided at all cost. I was told by "Jan B" the next day, that the boot was only $65, Really?!?! It's easy for this office manger to have NO sympathy when its not her in pain. This is the worst level of attitude I have ever received from an office manager, that should be setting a great example for other employees. Dr. Drinhaus said he wanted to see my husband again in three weeks. Long story short, We feel that Dr. Drinhaus is a great surgeon. But his office staff in Murrieta is very RUDE. We will not be returning to this office for anything else. We will be finishing this procedure with Kaiser, where the employees treat patients with the respect they deserve. read more

stay away!! they sold me an air cast and I gave them my debit card and the girl manually typed in my card number and got it wrong so it charged someone else's card and guess what? police officers showed up to my house and took me away in handcuffs because they thought I had committed fraud! I called the office manager at the office and she was the rudest most dismissive B I T C H I have ever talked to. I liked the doctor's personality I saw. He was funny and nice and spent a lot of time with me, but he didn't diagnose my problem at all. He didn't even really listen to me. I told him I was in pain, especially when he pressed on the tendon that was bothering me (causing me more pain later on). I told the woman that came in for the preliminary questions before the doctor came into my room that it felt like it was a tendon issue, but when the doctor came in, the first thing he asked me was how I fell. I never said I fell, but he just assumed I did because my wrist hurt when I bent it a certain way. He then said, "Well you failed that test because there is no tendon there." Then a few minutes later he told me I could have tendinitis. I was so confused. He did have x-rays done, but there were no fractures because like I had told him, I never injured it, and it felt like a tendon issue, not a bone issue. Also, you can't really see tendons on an x-Ray. But he had me do some basic things with my hands and then he pressed on the spot that hurt a few more times after me telling him it HURT. He sent me on my way with some topical NSAID packets (Motrin jelly, basically) and to come back in two weeks. After a weekend of putting on the Motrin jelly knowing it wasn't going to work and still being in a lot of pain, I tried to get another appointment sooner than the two and a half weeks, but he had nothing until two weeks later. Now I was just angry and upset. I felt like he dismissed my pain and didn't really even try to figure out what else it could be based on what I was telling him. My sister is a doctor. She told me what I have before I even saw this doctor, but I am NOT a doctor, so I didn't want to step on any toes. She also had surgery for the exact same thing. I had to go to a nurse practitioner to get a cortisone shot today because it hurt so bad, it was causing me pain trying to do anything with my wrist (even opening and closing doors, also my career involves hands and turning of wrists constantly). The diagnosis? A syndrome that is very common in women, especially postpartum (I did mention that I have a young child, and that I was having trouble picking her up because it hurt too much). The syndrome is a swelling of the sheath around the TENDON. The one he told me wasn't there. Needless to say, I found another reputable Orthopedic that I will see in two months to discuss the option of surgery. I'm just glad I found a nurse practitioner in the meantime (Rancho Family Medical Center-she was amazing, BTW) that listened to me and gave me the cortisone because she believed the diagnosis my sister gave me was correct by listing off my symptoms. But it should have been this doctor. Sadly it wasn't, and thankfully, I now have the relief I needed to tackle everyday tasks until my appointment with a good orthopedic. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that doesn't clearly have a bone problem that can easily be seen on an x-Ray. And if you like it when doctors don't listen to you, this is the place to go. The diagnosis was so simple and so common in women my age and with my lifestyle (small child, artist, hairdresser, makeup artist) that it should have been an easy diagnosis. Also, the woman and gentlemen at the front desk were very catty, and bitching about patients they just spoke with on the phone out loud to each other, in front of other patients in the waiting room which is not only extremely unprofessional, but probably violates HIPA law. I'm SURE she bitched about me when I got angry and told her to just cancel my next appointment so I can find someone to give me a cortisone shot sooner so I can function. She was rude when I told her to cancel, but I wasn't very nice either. I would think they would try to accommodate me because he didn't even diagnose a simple issue and at least try to get me in with someone sooner for a quick shot, but no. 2/10 would not recommend. I would have given more stars if the office staff was professional and courteous, which obviously they were not. The facility itself is okay. It was clean and the other staff in the back where the exam rooms are were very nice and helpful. read more

Eric is an X-ray and cast technician in the Murrieta office. He is incredible. My rating is only 4 because I'm not as impressed with all other staff. Eric was professional, quick, and prepared for the doctor. I get a sense that he works hard and is under-acknowledged. He is gentle and pleasant with a great bedside manner. He pays attention to the patient as an individual. I have a painful broken foot and he took every movement and position change at my pace. He gets that we are swollen and sensitive. What a professional and sweet man. His jokes are a a great distraction too. He shared his knowledge and explained every step so I was prepared. He even discussed his education and job with my 16 yo daughter who is interested in the medical field. He made my two appointments bearable. I really appreciate him and his treatment of my injury. read more

Dr "J" and Dr Brooks are fabulous. My procedures went well. Their office staff are horribly disorganized and a bit rude. Can't seem to communicate about patient needs. I had to call several times. I asked for my records to seek another doctor and they would not release them after a weeks notice. I asked to speak with one of the doctors and was instead dealing with the office administrator who also does the medical records who said she needed more than one weeks notice. They do not have access to electronic records. She said she has been doing this for a long time and doctors don't need them for an assessment of a new patients. read more

So incompetent! I'm glad they showed me how they work before an operation. Do not waste your time here. Let's start with the front office. I walked in and waited 10 minutes standing there while 3 ladies were looking at a video in a phone talking trash about a colleague. Then they took my insurance card, confirmed they accepted it and schedules an office visit 10 day from then. I got 2 calls confirming my appointment. Then just before I get there, they call to say they don't take my insurance after all, sorry. Wasted 10 days with a torn rotator cuff to see Dr Erwteman and they say, oops. Sorry. No passion or empathy for a patent in pain trying to get well. This office should get zero stars. read more
