While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. After finally getting a quote by email after months, I had some questions about the quote and was…read moreready to hire AHI, so I sent an email back with my questions. One of the questions was that I was unsure if I was supposed to sign the quote and send it back, since there wasn't the usual signature line or really anywhere to sign. After a few days and not getting a response, I called and left a message. I didn't get a call back. I called the next day and was able to reach someone, and I was told she sent the questions over to Steve, and he would be answering them but he's been out of the office getting more jobs. I didn't hear back, so I followed up with email again and another call. Since no one answered the phone, I left a message. After nearly 10 days and no response, I left one final voicemail and sent one final email and I never got a response. It was always difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. And on top of it, the one time I was able to reach someone by phone after I got my quote, I was able to ask the person who answered if I was supposed to sign the quote (since there was no place to sign) and send it back or if I needed to verbally agree and I would get a formal contract. I was told I had to visit the office between 8:30 and 4pm to review and sign the contract before work could start. Sorry, but I'm not taking time off work to sign a contract. In this day and age, you can't require working people to take time off work. Send a PDF via email so I can sign it, print it, scan it and send it back. Still never got a call back. ??? It's like the company doesn't exist anymore. Same experience as Rick P. Only thing I can say is that Steve is very knowledgeable and a very nice guy, just don't expect any work done, especially if you are talking to the lady in the office (when she is there and answering the phone...)
