Their name should be in correct roofing. I had a leak this week in my interior of my highland park home. Thought it might have been related to the recent hail storm but it was not. I called a reputable roofer to find out what was going on. When my roof was replaced less then 5 years ago the flashings were not installed correctly. Now I have water damage inside my home. Find a reputable roofing vendor. Correct and sam Biggs do no even come close. Please stay away. I would not let them reroof a dog house if I owned one. We got taken for a ride. And I feel really dumb because I really thought I had done everything right. "Oh! I'm a local guy! But also southern. You can trust me!!!" Uh huh. Sure. Our original estimate was before COVID. And because of financial issues they very kindly refunded our deposit. So i had no doubt that i would go back to them when we were able to continue the project. So back we went. Because of price hikes, I totally expected to pay a little more. Our original estimate was for 10.8k. The new estimate was 12.5. Suddenly as the work starts, so do all the incidentals. Welp, we need new insulation. Oops! The whole deck needs redoing. OH NO! The rafters are damaged. (I stopped him there. I'm getting a second opinion on that.) He then tried to over charge me for decking because of a typo in the estimate . The typo had the price lower p/linear foot. Lower than what he wanted to verbally charge me for. "Oh! That's a typo. The real price is...." Thank god I had done the reading of the fine print. I told him he needed to honor the price in the estimate. He did. But not before i had to get angry. All told, I ended up paying close to 16k. I Was reasssured as they were ripping off my roof that the front part of our roof would be covered by insurance. On a claim they would file for us. The claim was never filed. He says he spoke with the Insurance people who said they wouldn't cover it due to the age of the roof. Ok. Fair. But boy did Sam have me convinced knowing full well how old the roof was that we would get some money. And now it's all "I knew they probably weren't going to cover it". Oh? A couple months ago you were all "I'm very good at dealing with the insurance companies. I'll get you your money!" The gaslighting is strong with this one. Not to mention that he flat out refused to call me and would call my husband when he needed to communicate about the roof. I was in charge. He knew that. The man never takes responsibility for his over promises. Just doubles down and says things like "no one else would have touched your roof". Great. Thanks for making me feel worse, guy. I will say: his crew was awesome. Just the nicest guys who were very sympathetic to me getting screwed right in front of them. And he also doesn't seem care about the safety of his crew. In order to keep the avalanche going to bulldoze over any doubts I might be having, he had them show up (without calling me) on a day that was waaaaay too windy for roof work. I was legitimately afraid for them. Whatever. Live and learn. Now the economy sucks and I'm out 16k. Hopefully the roof doesn't leak and my ceiling doesn't collapse. 1 out of 10 stars would not recommend. read more

Called Sam with a roof repair job needed as a result of a home inspection. They were out the next day with 4 guys and had it done within hours. Absolutely perfect job, even went above and beyond to make sure all issues were taken care of. A super reasonable price, too. Found out they do more than roofs, so we are having them take a look at more work we need done when we get into the new house. I was very disappointed with the entire process. I had a new roof, soffit, fascia and new siding installed by this company after a hail storm on my rental home. I was informed that I needed a new header as the old one was sagging. I paid $1,880 for the job which was not covered by the hailstorm. I had another contractor come to do a remodel in the bathroom and I showed him the work that was done. He showed me that the crew NEVER replaced the old header. They nailed 2 boards to cover up the old one and jacked it up a bit. If I did not have that contractor look at it, I would never have known I was cheated and lied to by this company! Looking for a full refund from this company . I would not recommend them at all. read more

Our family is highly satisfied with the attention to detail that Correct Roofing poured into restoring our home. Correct Roofing definitely takes pride in the work that they do. Moreover, it was clear throughout the entire process on what type of work was optional but optimal to have our home be the most efficient in terms of energy savings and protection from the elements. Lastly, all our concerns as work was completed were addressed even if it was them adding to our understanding of how certain fixes were done and why. First speaking to their attention to detail. We hired Correct Roofing after they were highly recommended by one of our family members. Our home was damaged after a week-long exposure to wind, hail and rain. My wife and I noticed damage to the ceiling of our nursery. I had four different contractors review the damage, but most did not want to review the home for further damage until our insurance company approved a claim. Except for Sam from Correct Roofing. Sam was the only person that crawled through the attic with me to review other parts of the home for other hidden parts that were damaged because of the storm. Sam also walked me through the entire house and explained to me how the claim process typically works in language that I could understand. Throughout the process I felt that his team were also advocates in providing small details that gave it a human touch. For example, they installed trim around the attic access and the skylights. These were small items that weren't asked for but very much appreciated to increase the aesthetic appeal of our home. Thank you so much Correct Roofing for those small details. Secondly, it was my experience that the team at Correct Roofing did an excellent job at communicating throughout the entire process. I was clear on what work was going to be done and when it was going to be done. Also, I was very aware of what work was covered and what work would be ideal for our home to be at its optimal performance. For example, one thing I did not know before the start of the project was how baffles worked and why they were important. Sam fully explained the benefits of having baffles but also gave me the time and the choice to have them installed as they were not covered by insurance. We ended up paying for the baffles because we believed it would be beneficial to have them installed but we always felt empowered that we knew we had a choice in installing them or not. This is one of several examples of how well they communicated to us throughout the process and how we always felt the power to choose. In the end, our house feels warmer both physically and emotionally because of the consultative approach Correct Roofing provided us with. Lastly, it's refreshing to know that people take pride in their work. For example, when the siding was replaced on the garage there was an accidental nail nick on wiring to one of the lamps which caused a loss of power to the garage. When I mentioned it to Sam, he quickly sent Don over to fix the issue. Not only did he happily fix it, Don also took the time to teach me how the electricity was wired. I mention this because now I know how to trouble shoot electrical problems which is valuable as a homeowner. Furthermore, I also had a concern with water leaking from the siding. When I mentioned it to Ginny, she quickly paged the contractor who was going to be on site anyway. They took the time to pull the siding to show me that it was completely dry, and the siding was doing its job. I now know that siding has what's called weeping holes which is useful to release any moisture away from the home. In our case, the moisture was caused because that part of the house is near our laundry room which is creating some moisture but is being released by the siding. read more

I signed a contract on 5/8/2015 and the roof was on two days later. I also had some other work done on the garage at the same time. The work was completed with my inspection and had been done with my satisfaction. I recommend Correct Roofing. Here's why: In the late 1980's, my brother-in- law added an addition to his classic Georgian house that he had tremendous pride in. He wanted the slate tiles and copper gutters to match up with the architecture of the house. It was Correct Roofing that was able to do so. They matched up perfectly the type and color of the slate and also custom make the copper gutters. My brother-in-law couldn't have been more pleased. So it was a no brainer for me to choose Correct Roofing when I needed a roof, especially when considering their competitive bid. What I didn't expect was the expert help I got from Correct Roofing's owner - Sam Biggs, in dealing with the insurance co. (a big money saver). In addition, Sam's foreman, Don was courteous and knowledgeable; answering questions along with keeping a watchful eye the entire time on the obviously expert roofers. They came out and gave me an estimate for a repair. I hired them. They never contacted me. I contacted them again and was sent a contract with a much higher dollar amount than what was agreed . Contacted them again. Told someone would call me back twice...... Never had a response from this company...... Deceptive and must not need the $1000+ for a small job. read more

Please do your homework before selecting this company. Our roof was installed without flashing around chimney and dormers. Leaky! When he came out he told us it was condensation. What a mistake to use them. Recently had flashing installed by siding company. Buyer beware!! read more

I contacted Correct Roofing and Construction, when I had a leak in my Kitchen, They had been referred to me through a neighbor. The night before they came out, I had my nephew check the roof to see if it indeed needed to be replaced, as he is in const. also but does not do roofs. He told me it needed to be replaced and why. When Sam came out from Correct Roofing, he told me the exact same reasons, he went on the roof and did a thorough inspection. I also needed 3 sky lights replaced. Sam quoted me a price for the roof and the sky lights and called me back later with a lower price on the lights. Jenny (from the office) brought over the contract the next day, she answered all my questions and today less than a week later I have a Beautiful New Roof and Sky lights. The crew that came to do the work were Awesome, they had the job done in a little over a day due to rain. They got here early and worked non-stop.When they were finished, they cleaned up all the mess. I couldn't ask for a better job on my home! I live in the middle unit of 4-unit building of attached single family homes. The building is 20+ years old. I contracted the Correct Roofing to replace the roof of my unit. From the day one after replacement, my roof had been losing a lot of shingles after each storm while the adjusted original 20+ years old roof stayed intact. This addresses all the questions about unpredictable Mother Nature. After many complains and inspections, the owner Mr. Briggs called me and promised to redo my roof at no cost for me. Sammuel B****, the owner of Correct roofing & Construction, came to my house with Mike back in October-2016 to take and look at the roof... Sammuel said will NOT charge me for the deductible IF I gave them the job, that he will work out the numbers and include the deductible in the cost, so I did not have to worry about it! He said was providing an Itemized receipt/contract and pictures of the job, at the end of the job... Overall, Sammuel B**** and Mike made me feel I could confide in them when in reality they had it all SECRETLY and MALICIOUSLY PLANNED behind my back! Mike was eager to pick up my Insurance-check as soon as he heard me say I had received it - He said the next step was to let them know and "apparently" Mike was in the area to pick it up... The same day after the fact, I told Sammuel NOT to attempt to cash that check, BUT he said had already used my Insurance-money to get the material for the job... He PRESSUED ME on choosing the shingles after that, WHEN I still had questions about the job, so it all STARTED with AGGRESSIVE PRESURE and INTIMIDATION and I pretty much gave them the job because of that... Ever since they got my Insurance-money, I was TREATED WITH LACK OF RESPECT and VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY! Sammuel started to treat me inferior to other customers in his agenda and ignored my requests: He said was extremely busy with other projects from other customers... I never got an Itemized Contract from them either and I continually asked Sammuel for one, several times! I still have to worry about my roof: I kept asking Sammuel for the pictures, so I could see how the job was done, BUT all he says up to this point is he "has plenty of pictures" but yet I have NOT seen any since November-2016 and it is now January-2017! They DID NOT HAVE THE COURTESY to get back to me to let me know the job was done, so I could follow up with my Bank properly! THEY ARE CHARGING ME FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE now - Apparently, Sammuel says does not remember saying anything to me about it and is having his people call me at all times... SO BEWARE OF THESE DECEITFUL and UNTRUSWORTHY WORDS!! Ginny from their office, calls me from many different numbers consecutively, on a daily basis, and says that even if Sammuel said was waiving the deductible that "there is 'nothing' on paper" that says that... SO BEWARE OF THESE SCAMS!! Ginny also spoke to me very RUDELY over the phone, with INTIMIDATING and MENACING words: She said was making an "awning" to my house and was sending their people first thing in the morning to remove the roof and shingles until that deductible/debt was paid! She said that on a Friday, so I was terrified the whole weekend! As I was at my work the following Monday, the people in my premises saw some of their people parked in front of my house early in the morning, and as soon as someone came to the front, with me still on the phone, they left the premises right away... They call themselves "professionals at their job" and say "treat customers fairly with respect" BUT in reality, they are CROOKS, who take advantage of innocent people, especially those who are new at this! They are skilled at taking as much money out of you as soon as they see the opportunity, like my Insurance-check and NOW the deductible! SO BEWARE OF THESE SCAMS!! With them, I FEEL I GOT RIPPED-OFF - I got other quotes from other contractors in the area and Sammuel was $4,000.00 above the average - I cannot believe HE WANTS MORE MONEY FROM ME NOW!! My experience with them was/IS AWFUL!! They HANDLED BUSINESS with me VERY POORLY and UNPROFESSIONALLY UNFAIR, with AGGRESSIVE PRESSURE, INADEQUATE MANNERS and UNTRUSWORTHY STATEMENTS!!
