Over the last winter, we had two very small roof leaks. It was apparent there had to be enough standing water and the wind blowing a certain way for the leak to occur. But I still needed it fixed. I called AMB for a REPAIR estimate. What we received instead were two NEW roof estimates. One for $79,455 and the second one for $66,755. This was after they took a core sample. Do your research when working on your roof. We absolutely did not need a new roof. We knew that and every other company that came out, agreed. I was not going to post a review on this ridiculous encounter until the company we actually hired to repair and reseal the roof came across the core sample. They informed us that it was not put back properly and was actually stuck back in with caulk and the caulk used doesn't even adhere to roofing materials. Had this not been found and repaired properly, we could have had serious roof and interior damage. Unbelievable. This whole experience is, at the minimum, really bad business practices. At the most, it borders on fraud and negligence. Buyer beware. Update: I obviously ruffled some feathers. lol. I initially had written a six page review, listing every single detail but decided against posting that. Nobody is interested in reading a novel. Bottom line is we called for a repair. We do not need a new roof. We needed repairs and a reseal. We discussed a repair. AMB pushed for a full, new roof quote as the "repair quote would be 50% of what a new roof would cost". My husband said fine, but that he was really only interested in a repair. Btw, I am only discussing here the house and attached garage. The detached garage is an entirely separate issue. My husband is sitting here flabbergasted at this company's response to the core sample and how it was left. Because what was said here is not what he was told on site. Fantastic company. From the start, the quote was professionally done and everything explained well. Going through color choices for roof and flashing was easy and appreciated their input. New roof looks awesome!! Got it done basically in a day and the entire property was clean before they left. Overall, communication was the absolute highlight. Everyone in the office returned calls and emails immediately. Couple of small issues along the way were fully expected, but they were corrected quickly and to expectations. We decided to use AMB to replace the roof on our home, I'm glad we did. Jason came out an gave us an estimate, he was professional and very courteous. He explained their process,and the steps they take to protect your flowers,bushes or whatever you have around your home. The office was just as courteous,helping us pick the right shingles to match our home. That attitude is passed on to the crew, when the guys came out to do the roof, the first thing they did was cover everything around the house. Everyone from the foreman to the rest of workers were polite, respectful that were at someone's home. They worked fast, tore off the old roof replaced it and cleaned up to where you wouldn't even know they were there,in one day. AMB replaced the roofing on our home in October. They gave us a detailed bid and came out to our home to speak to us in person regarding the job. There were no surprises. The workers were professional and prompt. The job was completed in a little over a day. The workers cleaned up after themselves and left us with a great looking roof. We got 8 quotes from various roofing companies and decided that we wanted a metal roof. Jason from AMB Roofing came out to the house, spent time with us and answered all our questions. Jason also answered all my questions (and there were a lot) via email and phone for at least 8 months before we finally decided to get the work done. They were fairly priced, the workmanship and workers were absolutely fantastic. They worked a full week in sub zero weather and were pleasant and professional. We are very happy with our metal roof and it looks great. We will also have them quote us on siding our next project. Highly recommended. read more

I never write reviews on yelp but I was so impressed I felt I should let other people know about AMB. Of the three contractors that came out Charlie from AMB was the only one who came out the same day I called, gave me brochures, and a proposal. Very professional and knowledgable compared to the other guys. I knew then that this was the company I wanted doing my roof. The crew came when they were supposed to and didn't waste any time even though it was the middle of December and really cold out. It took them two days because a lot of the wood had to be replaced. The roof looks great and neighbors have complimented on it. I tell them like I'm going to tell anybody who needs a roofer to go with AMB. read more

I am especially impressed with how each area of expertise is represented by an employee with the background and experience to offer viable solutions and implement a plan to get the job done while keeping in mind that just because their work may be routine, I, the customer was dealing with a situation that was confusing and foreign to me. The process of accomplishing the job was not dismissive of my lack of knowledge, rather the professional, Jason Niemi, who worked with me, explained the process and course of action that would take place within a timely manner; foretelling the procedures and any material and labor costs. This is a business that has values and integrity based on good old fashioned comforting customer service. The job was executed and finished in an impeccable manner within the timeframe offered to me. The materials they chose for repairing gutters, downspouts and practical water defusing techniques resulted in safely redistributing water was done so by selecting materials in keeping with existing hardware. There was no mess left behind and no evidence that this work took place other than the desired result. If given the opportunity to praise them beyond an online review, this is the type of business I'd nominate for community excellence It doesn't get better than this folks. AMB made my project as simple to understand as ABC and settling monetary maters as easy as 123. Way to go AMB. Had our roof done, overall they were competitively priced and the roof was done well . We were quoted it would take 4 weeks to get the roof done, took 8 to 9 weeks, very annoying. When they finally did come, they completed in one day, which was nice. However, they left nails in the yard, shingles in the bushes, AND they ripped (throwing a shingle) a brand new gas grille cover, worth $100. Supervisor did come out after the job was done to double check. He was not happy with the cleanup and saw the tear in the grille. He said he would "make a note of it". Paid the rest of the bill today and we were told "I can't do anything about this". Really?? This in not the way to treat your customers, especially when ruining personal property. Was going to inquire about doing more work on our house, but not going to happen. read more

Excellent contractor. I experienced extreme hail damage. During the quotation process they were very willing to listen to my concerns and preferences. Communication throughout the project was fantastic! The crew was fast and didn't cut any corners. I would love to have them do more work for me. Highly recommended. Charlie from AMB came out quickly. They were the middle bidder for my project but the increase in price was minimal considering they were using better material than every other estimate I received. Looking at the glorious reviews I went with AMB to do my roof. We agreed on a price and went ahead. When they took a section of the roof off, they said I needed some attic baffles or something like that between some rafters to prevent condensation. Well, there's a hole in my roof at the moment so tough to get competing quotes, etc. Had to do it for $875, which was a nice 12% add on to the original cost. Turns out they were basically 2 pieces of some molded plastic and a new 4x8 piece of plywood. OK. My bad I agreed before understanding, but this was flag 1. Then they asked if I needed the satellite dish re-installed on the roof. I had cancelled DTV some years ago, so I said if it helps you, then no. Fine. Roof done, balance paid. A day or two later I look at the front corner of my house (where the dish was) and I see the cables from the dish just hanging off. Flag 2. No biggie there but the issue is that they were covered by a corner end piece where the wood from 2 sides of the house came together. It seems the roofer just took the dish off and pulled the cable so that end piece came off leaving a hole in the soffit. Flag 3.I called my AMB guy, he came over, looked at it, said they would fix it. I'm thinking probably less than 1 hour work for 1 guy. Pfffffttt!! Excuse after excuse ( getting cold, other more important jobs to finish, on vacation....you get the idea) week after week. By this time the corner was a nice home to wasps building nests and eating away at the wood. So I just got tired of calling and emailing, told them forget about it and climbed on a ladder and after several trips to Home Depot, fixed it myself. Was not fun (60 years old on a 20 foot ladder killing wasps and pounding nails while off balance. Thanks for that guys.) Only happiness I got was I have a rental property that needs a roof. Guess who's NOT getting the job. read more
