I have struggled for years with up and down dieting and wanting to try to lose the weight once and for all. Up until now, I had been seeing a gastroenterologist for the past year and had every test under the sun (colonoscopies, blood tests, stool samples, breath tests) all of which were "inconclusive" one way or another and I was lumped into the diagnosis of "IBS" like so many other women looking for answers. For years, I had tried dieting and had very minimal success, for short periods of time but nothing that lasted more than a year. Now, for the first time in my life, I am not bloated 24/7. My fatigue level has decreased significantly, and my body feels better. This is a hard concept to explain because I didn't even realize how horrible I felt before. The biggest development however, is for the first time I have no eczema. Last year, I developed eczema on my hands and face for the first time ever. I now utilize this as a sign that I need to pay attention to what I am putting in my body. I also feel like I am finally able to control how my body responds. How it responds to stress, food, life and all of the in-betweens. It is amazing to figure out something you never even knew in the first place!
