So thankful for this dentistry!!…read more I've had terrible experiences in the past (looking at you, @AspenDental!) But this place is slowly winning over my trauma. Had an infection hit full force over the weekend, and got ahold of Hart Dentistry's after hours number. 9:00 this morning they had me in and I'm now one tooth and one massive infection less.. and so far feeling much better already! The office was closed today, but 3 of the staff members came into work to take care of me and I really appreciate it! Thank you for the caring staff and treatment you give your patients!

They have a lot to learn, it seems. Ihad a tooth fall apart about 8 or 9 days ago. They told me to…read morecome in. I did. I couldn't pay right away but I paid in a week promptly. Because their machines were down on the first visit they had to schedule a follow up, though I was still charged for the first visit. Then today, two days before, they said I had to reschedule because they were having an "analytics meetin,g," I.e. not some patient problem but internal business. I offered to come on Monday or Tuesday at 5. Nope we can't do. Would you refund me the first visit. Nope we can't do, It is like playing a game of "Mother May I". In 62 years, a dentist has never, not once rescheduled, let alone for an internal business meeting. I have had dentists come in after hours for a root canal. When a judge tells me to be in court, I don't look in my schedule book, and say, gee, judge, you are going to have to reschedule. They are supposed to be PROFESSIONALS!!! NOTE: I checked with a long dentist I had in another college town. I was informed than other than patient emergencies and a dentist getting sick, they have not in their memory (which is long) rescheduled on a patient. I suspected as much. Not sure what to do now, since they won't refund the first visit.

I'm not over exaggerating when I say it rains every single time I have a dental appointment…read more It is so fitting because I HATE THE DENTIST. Well, that's not a fair statement. I despise the experience and essentially everything it entails. The smells, the sounds and oh my gosh the feels -- it all makes me shudder merely thinking of it. I could think of one million and one things I'd rather be doing then getting my teeth cleaned. Like, grocery shopping with two tantruming toddlers in tow or even running a half marathon with a bum knee in the rain sans music. So, no, I suppose I don't hate a dentist personally-- it's not their fault I have a phobia directly related to their profession. That being said, I actually like this dentist ... if I take a step back and forget what she does. Only thinking of her as a person out in the real world, she's stellar. Jokes aside-- Dr. Miller is professional, extremely knowledgeable, kind and easy to talk to. She does her best to ease my mind, no matter the procedure or circumstance. I'd definitely acknowledge her if I ran into her at a coffee shop or something (so long as I didn't have anything super sugary in hand.) The staff is very friendly. The waiting room is pleasant with upbeat music playing. It is easy to find. They have really streamlined the entire process, your hygienist will make your next appointment for you as you wait for the dentist to stop in AND they send text message appointment reminders! So, since you HAVE to go to the dentist (there's no getting around it unless you want dentures by 40) stop in! I promise this one won't bite.

Clean place, no cavities from the whole fam. We will be coming back in about six months!read more

They gave us (my wife and I) Rude and controlling Julian. My wife and decided to get a new dentist and I had a filling to be filled and my wife had a cleaning on the same day. We let them know we will be changing Dentists on the day of our appointments. We were taken to a room and asked if we still wanted our cleaning and filling done and we said yes. They ask me to come to the room to get my filling done. At this point I was told from Julian that I didn't trust her and that she was NOT going to do my filling! My wife got her cleaning done but I was Discriminated by Julian by refusing to do my filling work! I was asked to leave!! NOT A FRIENDLY PLACE NO MORE!!

New to Iowa for grad school, and somehow I am lucky enough to have found the best dental office…read morejust down the street from my apartment! My hygienist, Amy, was remarkably kind and thorough during my entire examination, Dr.Skvor was very patient and gentle during my procedure, and the additional office staff were all welcoming and helpful. I am so glad to have found this place, where there is a genuine commitment to exceptional patient care and comfort. I am actually looking forward to the continuation of my entire treatment plan and having such fantastic professionals to care for me for the next three years!

This dentist practices fraudulent tactics to sell unnecessary services. If zero stars was a choice,…read moreI would have chosen zero. I had been a patient at Coral West Dental for several years and was happy with the care I was getting. Until recently. I went in for my biannual cleaning. The hygienist told me she needed to do a full gum exam, even though I had had one 6 months prior. She poked my gums and made them bleed. Mind you, I floss daily and brush twice a day, and my gums NEVER bleed. It was clear to me she was using a sharp instrument to make my gums bleed. She then proceeded to take pictures. When she went behind me to get the camera, I closed my mouth, as one would normally do. She poked my gums again, and told me not to close my mouth and not to swallow. I became suspicious, but went along with it (I have a pleaser personality). Then she took a picture. She did this on all four quarters of my mouth. Then, she brought up the bloody photos and put them side by side with "healthy gums." She told me I had gum disease and needed treatment right away. She barely spent any time cleaning my teeth and took ex-rays even though I wasn't due for them because "the doctor will need them when he does my scaling treatment." She then had me meet with the finacial person to go over the cost. The procedure was going to be $2,000, with my out-of-pocket being $400. Plus, she tried to sell me a bottle of rinse for $30. I told her I wanted to think about it. They also sent me home with a brochure talking about gum disease causing heart attack. Two days later the hygienist texted me asking when I could schedule the procedure. I texted, "I'm seeking a second opinion," and I never heard another word from her. Last week, I went to North Liberty Dental and was told my gums "look great." I asked specifically about gum disease and the doctor smiled and said, "you don't get gum disease when you floss and brush regularly like you do. Your gums look perfect." Coral West Dental also tried to sell my husband an expensive whitening system. His teeth are just fine. Suffice to say, we have both switched dentists.

I'm so glad I did, from my emergency visit to my initial consultation everyone there, from to the front desk to the Dr. Rubel, made it welcoming. I've never been a fan of dentist due to past experience but that all has changed. Thank you! See you in 3 months!
