He did not disappoint! My best advice would be to trust him and his skills as a photographer implicitly. 1. He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. If you are new to being photographed like me, you'll find this kind of direction extremely helpful and comforting. 2. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen's services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). I had a lot of hope from Melissa and her team, but my daughter's first birthday pictures were quite disappointing. I liked Melissa as a person but I didn't get what I had imagined in the pictures. Pictures were edited very poorly, moments weren't captured well, and we received quite a few pictures that were blurry. When you pay certain amount of money for photography, you expect the quality too. I am just starting to create an album for my daughter's birthday (which was in July) and I am even more disappointed than I was when I first received the photos back in July. I literally am editing every picture I have chosen for the album because either the lighting is off or cropping is done poorly or the quality is just overall mediocre. I imagine Melissa probably takes great portrait pictures (which she did a decent job with for my daughter's pictures) but not sure about active eventful photos.

She was extremely patient with us and made sure our 20 day old was warm and happy throughout, even if the session took more of her time. I did not feel stressed or rushed and was able to nurse him in between takes. Her packages were also reasonably priced and she definitely does not rush you during the session which was the standout factor between her and other photographers we've worked with. The photos came out great and tastefully edited. Her photoshop skills are also excellent - she was able to fix little imperfections such as flyaway hairs when I asked. I will definitely be using Christi in the future for baby's other milestones!

Alex, with a critical eye in marketing, really does what few photographers are able to do successfully --- look at the bigger picture.
