To start off when you go in and go up into the elevator upstairs and you're greeted immediately with a beautiful lobby you were met by the front desk and I believe her name is Aysha. She is an absolute beautiful and amazing person to deal with and quite efficient. Then you will meet your stylist there were two stylist that worked on me Veronica and Teresa both of them were exceptionally professional and for them learning and this being a training institute they were right on point both of them did an amazing job on my hair indefinitely was a pleasure to be around as I was getting my hair done. The instructors would frequently check in and observe and teach them techniques the teachers that were teaching that day were Ms. Cassandra and Ms. Monica we're both highly professional and very warming and very compassionate with their students that we're working on me. They also were social with me as well and interacted and very courteous and informative. The Milan Institute is an amazing place at an amazing price for the service that you get they will take care of you so incredibly well and you will look so incredibly fabulous after. I felt so good going there and not scared one bit about it being a training Institute every single person in there were professional kind, sweet and warming, and to tell you the truth this place gave me better service and amazing hair than a top notch Salon that I was going to if I knew about Milan sooner I would have just come here first. Great job to Milan Institute and thank you. You guys made me feel wonderful on my birthday and took extremely good care of me and I definitely will be back and it was so nice there that I am actually contemplating going to school there. He took the time to carefully consult with me beforehand, explained the entire process, and made sure he understood exactly the look I was going for. Throughout the appointment, he was gentle, thorough, and very attentive to detail. You could tell he truly cared about doing his best work. The final result is BEAUTIFUL. My curls came out perfectly shaped, soft, and exactly what I wanted. I've already received so many compliments! It honestly looks like it was done by a seasoned professional, not a student. Unfortunately, the results looked almost exactly the same as my original color and even appeared darker in some areas. What made the experience more frustrating was that the instructor did not agree or acknowledge that the result was not what I had requested. As a customer, it's disappointing when your concerns are not taken seriously. I paid $120, and like everyone else, I work hard for my money. Now I have to go somewhere else and spend more to get this fixed. I truly had hoped to become a regular client here, but after this experience, I would not recommend this place to others.

Sean, as always, was amazing and was very accommodating to my fidgetiness. It's always fun to talk to her as she is very kind, funny, and takes pride in her work. The teachers, Harley and Derrika, were also super helpful and very kind. they both took the time to educate me as well as my stylist and gave great tips for hair protection & technique. The only reason that it's four stars is because when I was scheduling, the front desk gave me misinformation on Sean's schedule and it was difficult to rebook with them to get the correct schedule. However, this was over the phone and rebooking in person was much easier. I still highly recommend for people looking for good quality services at a decent price!

I was so upset - I had to wait weeks and weeks for it to grow out so I could seek out a PROFESSIONAL to cut my hair and fix it! Look people, pay the money, get a better haircut from a salon! Current student going through the program and may change rating based on ongoing experience…read more I started the program about 2-3 weeks ago, mainly because they recently began offering weekend classes, which worked well for me since I have a demanding full-time job. So far, unfortunately, my experience has not been great. I'm not sure if it's because the hybrid/online model is still new for them, but it really feels like they don't have the process fully organized yet. Most of the issues come down to lack of communication and unclear expectations for online students. Once I paid my deposit, I wasn't really guided through the next steps. I was briefly shown the portal we use for coursework (CIMA) and told to download WhatsApp because that's how we communicate with instructors. Beyond that, I pretty much had to figure things out on my own. I even had to personally ask questions in the group chat because I was confused, and it turned out several other students felt the same way. Eventually we found out there's an orientation every Monday, but nobody clearly explained that upfront. The virtual learning environment has also been frustrating. During online sessions, chats are muted and virtual students can't really ask questions because the instructors are focused on the in-person class. That honestly makes no sense to me considering online students are paying the same tuition as in-person students. It feels like the virtual students are an afterthought. Even submitting homework has been confusing. We use Dropbox, but I was basically just told to "download Dropbox" and had to dig through old chat messages to find the actual submission links and instructions. At this point, I honestly feel unclear every step of the way. I spend more time trying to figure out logistics, apps, links, and expectations than actually focusing on learning. The frustrating part is that these seem like very simple organizational issues that could easily be improved with clearer communication and better onboarding for online students. I'm still early in the program, so I hope things improve over time, and I'm open to updating my review if my experience changes.
