If I'm "going under the blade" I was going to take my sweet a$$ time familiarizing myself with everything related to this procedure. After "extensive" research, I made a decision with Nere and the brand she represents. Nere was very patient with me and calmed my nerves as she answered all my questions. For the duration of the procedure, she narrated what she was doing and always made me feel comfortable. Her establishment was very clean and sanitized. As for pain, when she bladed my skin (sounds scary...) it was tolerable especially when there wasn't any numbing cream yet. Numbing cream came after the first cut. (#PainIsBeauty!). I guess the only time I did feel some slight pain was at the ends or towards the arch as it was closer to the bone of my brow. Other than that, It wasn't overall painful. It's been a very long time since I last saw her. Over a Year. I'm due for a retouch! Would I recommend Brows By Nere? Absolutely!! Worth every penny!!

Because of that, I was very wary when a nice person off the FB interwebs messaged me at 10pm about a last minute session the next day. She showed me pictures of their work and said that hers was done by them a while back as well, and this was legitimately free. So I thought about it and gave her my info, not knowing if I was going to go thru with it, since I had back to back appointments and wasn't sure I wanted to model for 6 hours. A little info about me, I had friends that owned beauty colleges in SoCal and always volunteered for hair, makeup, facials, waxes, you name it. How else can people learn other than by doing, under supervision of course. I'm always game to help out, and it's usually temporary since hair grows out, makeup can be washed away, etc. Semi-permanent tattooing is of course a different matter, but I figured that I can always say no if I don't like the way it's measured and it wouldn't cost me anything but time and I have glasses worst case, they can't see it anyways. Andrea messaged me that morning with directions and an appointment via Square. I felt better researching her a little bit. She went viral on TikTok for showing off the work that she does...Link HERE. People come from all over the nation to train under her. She's been doing it for over 1.5 yrs now. She used to work at a call center and wanted more flexibility in her work to be there for her son. She took a course and started working in the field-apparently in Texas all you need is a 2 day course, passing a test, and getting your tattoo license, cosmetology license ISN'T needed. She does such great work that a lot of her clients would ask her to help them learn, so she started training and honestly she's sooo patient and professional, it was a good sidestep for her. On the day that I went, she had me sign a form in the parking lot, kinda like a doctor's form to make sure you don't have allergies and understood the risks. Then showed me in her boutique where there were 3 separate rooms with the front room being the office, and the other 2 with beds. She introduced me to my technician who was there from Amarillo, Elva, who was doing the 2 day course, the 2nd day being that they would practice on live models (me). She had already spent the day before learning concepts, passing the exam, and practicing on a fake model. She found Andrea on TikTok and paid for her own travel and lodging as well as $2400 to train under Andrea. There was a trainee in the front room who came from Oregon to train with her, so she's very popular. She also does training sessions around the nation. I think she went to Sacramento the week after I got my brows done. So Andrea (trainer) has Elva (trainee) explain to me what they are going to do. In theory, the process was pretty simple: 1. Measure the eyebrows, make sure I like them 2. Draw them in 3. Shave the hairs around outline of eyebrows 4. Select the tattoo colors 5. Tattoo the outline 6. Shade in the outline 7. Apply numbing cream 8. Go over the eyebrow several more layers depending on how it shows up 9. Check on the one eyebrow 10. Repeat on other eyebrow In practice, it was a lot of work (hence the normal costs of $400-$800 for the 1st session, not including touch ups). What they did was spend 3 hours measuring and comparing and making sure that each line was symmetrical and precise. I'm talking about millimeters here. Well, this just continues to go downhill. *1st appointment…read more(12/30/25), so excited/nervous, after searching and debating for over a year, but I did it. I was so excited to see that I had brows again. Walked out very pleased. *2nd appointment-follow up (1/27/26) I had a bald spot on the left brow, Ana did her thing and away I went. *3rd appointment (3/5/26) Back in again, I was under the impression after the follow up all would be wonderful. After healing (again) it doesn't look like the touch up from the 2nd appointment was even done. Not at all blended like the right brow. Another touch up to that area on the left...but she was rough on me this time. My brow area hurt for about 3 days and after healing is a lot darker than the right brow. I waited longer this time to see the outcome from this one. *4th appointment (5/12/26) Same brow, same bald spot, I am truly disappointed and angry that I have to travel all the way up there for something that should have been done right after the follow up. Michelle returned my call, made the appointment and told me there wouldn't be a charge ($320.00) per Ana. A Charge! If it was done right the first time and a check at follow up, I wouldn't be here a 4th time. At the appointment, it felt like she couldn't wait to get me out of there. She addressed the issue and I also told her my brows didn't match and the left was further away from the nose. She measured center nose said they were fine (felt like she was questioning me), but I wanted a few strokes to even them out. They still don't look the same- they both look okay, but not the same. I will be curious to see how they look in a week or two. After dropping $620.00 plus a tip after the first session, I am $700.00 into something that is totally disappointing. I almost got them tattooed instead of microblading. Guess I picked wrong. I never got a bad tattoo-always perfect and cost a lot less. This is an art; a passion and people wear this on their face every day. I will NEVER return to Ana Square, I will not recommend her and look forward to finding someone else to do my touchups in the future. If she does 3 brow appointments a day (just brows, not including her other services) she grosses approximately $1,860.00 a day/$37,200.00 a month. Insane amount of money for a piss poor job. I will post my final pictures after they are totally healed...promised.

She always sports a bold "Chanel Red" lip, and she looks amazing. Her style and lip color is something I strive to mimic, however, I had avoided my favorite bold lip colors because with age, my lips had sprouted lines all around them and a pucker was not attractive; lipstick would not stay within the lines and I looked like an early Halloween vampire. Skin Sational has Dr Tracy Provenghi as the lead and she is indeed a rock star. She has a great eye and recommends a treatment according to what you tell her is your concern. I told her I did not want big, puffy lips, just no lines around the mouth. She recommended Jeuverderm Velour (this stuff last about a year so you are getting your money's worth) plus a tiny bit of Botox to relax the muscles (lasts about 3 months). The technician is an RN, and very well skilled in this art. I also had som reversed parentheses down by my chin- she addressed these as well. So I will see the full results in about a week or so but so far I am thrilled. I still look like me (one of my fears of fillers and Botox) and the change is so slight that is completely natural! I am so happy I took this step for me...hahah and ever poor soul that has to look at my face ;) No that I have seen that this looks so natural, I do want to address the "railroad tracks" between my eyebrows. They have fantastic hours that are super convenient!
