I visited Cosmo Med Spa in Alpharetta (GA) on Saturday (5/3/25), for a teeth whitening treatment. After the treatment, my lips, gums and entire mouth swelled and started to swelI enormously and blister. I had to rush to Urgent Care the next day, where I received a Decadron shot (Steroid), a prescription for a Medrol pack (Prednisone), Famotidine, and Claritin for two weeks. The doctor at the Urgent Care said I had suffered a chemical burn to my mouth due to the chemicals touching parts of my mouth that it should not have touched. It has been difficult for me to speak, eat, drink, smile, and even go to work. I could not go into work on Monday (5/5/25) due to the severe pain. My lips are burnt, the inside of my mouth is burnt and has blisters. I cannot eat or drink like normal, nor brush my teeth. I have missed work due to being in such horrendous pain. I contacted the provider at Cosmo Med Spa and she told me that "I will be okay" and "she will pray for me." I am in so much pain that I had to see another doctor, my PCP, and she also diagnosed it as burns to my mouth. She prescribed Lidocaine. I am now on five medications and I still in tremendous pain (today is 5/8/25). The owner of Cosmo Med Spa stated that she will once again, "Pray for me." I will attach pictures and doctor's reports. Let me tell you about this place. This place will advertise Groupon's at a low price. You will buy the Groupon once you get a store they will force you to request a refund then they want you to pay additional for it. In-store in cash, which is what I did. I booked three treatments. I was not told that it had to be used in a 12 month period. I live three hours away so it's a six hour round-trip just to come here for my service. I used the first one, but by the time I came back up to Atlanta and had time to come on a date where they had availability it was over a year. Shabu never mentioned this at any point when I kept texting her and calling her asking about appointment availability she never said that I no longer had any sessions left instead they schedule me an appointment let me drive three hours one way Just to tell me that they're not going to honor my three services. They did say that they were offering me one complimentary since I had already driven up there and I was totally fine with losing the third one because it was an error on my part or their apart for not telling me either way if it's their rules it's their rules and I was fine with that. Because they were working with me and I appreciated it. At the end of my session with the lady in the picture, Shaboo sat me down, forced me to show her all of my Groupon's show her all the refunds and show her that I purchased the treatment in Office. She acted real sweet about everything and then said let's go ahead and get you scheduled for your next treatment. I did inquire about the O shot and that was the only thing that we talked about any prices for and I told her that it was my second treatment, but I understood if they weren't going to give me a third one, but they said that they were and they scheduled my appointment as my last appointment. This was 1000% the conversation and everything that happened between me and this Office fast-forward six weeks after my last session I come to my appointment and and then told they will not be giving me the third session and they told me that I had to pay for the third session, even though after my last session, Shaboo sat down with me and told me that they were going to honor it and they were going to make me an appointment for my last session so now I've just driven three hours one way and now I have to turn back around drive another three hours in traffic Because these people are liars. I don't even think the treatments work but since I paid $1000 for them I wanted what I paid for watch yourself this place will scam you if you give them the chance they are not here to improve people's quality of life. Laser hair removal review. I am writing a review only for the laser hair removal services they provide. I have had laser hair removal before from a different place, and it took WEEKS for my hair to grow back with my first session. After getting hair removal done here, my hair started growing back within a matter of days of my first session. I did ask the esthetician to increase the machine as I have course hair and a high pain tolerance. She accommodated that request. I was reassured that they have "good" machines and while that may be true, there are definitely better machines out there. I would not recommend coming here for laser hair removal. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the staff was very nice and accommodating and offered to make up for the disappointment. read more

I asked for an appointment on a Tuesday or Thursday and the very rude girl scheduling booked my appointment for a Friday. Bought a Groupon for 3 IPL sessions. All I know is that they DO NOT have a legitimate IPL machine. They basically used the laser hair removal machine. No results, no decrease in hyperpigmentation or break outs. Only left with very sensitive and inflamed face with residual breakouts. A true IPL laser treatment (which I've had done before ) will bring hyperpigmentation to the surface and the treated dark spots will basically flake off revealing baby soft , clearer skin. This was not my result. Also no soothing post treatment after laser, not professional. read more

If you are trying to get lash extensions, forget it. Trust me, just don't. Scheduling an appointment is also a pain the ass. I would call and call and call, and after days someone would finally pick up. I got my lash extensions here because I saw a good deal on Groupon and the fact that it had good reviews on Yelp. The Groupon I got was $59 for a full extension session and refill. And let me tell you, you are not getting MINK lashes. That is the one where you actually get individual lashes applied, instead of sections of lashes which is what they do. If you want to do the mink lashes, they charge way more. Nowhere on the Groupon does it tell you what kind you are actually getting by the way. Great way to confuse your customers. My lashes did not look natural, it looked like I had way too many layers of mascara on. You can also tell there was too much glue on some parts of the lashes. It just didn't look attractive. I was able to pull it off with makeup on, but without makeup it just looked really bad and fake. And it's not like I can take it off since it's glued on to my real eyelash hairs. The two ladies that helped me were nice, and offered good deal and low prices but for what I am looking for, I would not go back. Service was good if they are actually opened. When I tried to get my refill the second time, I called so many times and no one would answer. They just randomly closed for over a week! i would leave a message and no call backs. Terrible place! Had eye lashes put on & they glued my eyes together!!! The owner said this is normal ... I have had eye lashes before & my eyes were never glued closed!!!! She used a degreaser so I could open my eyes & it left white chunks on the lashes... DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR EYes!!! Got home & they all fell off including my own eye lashes! She made me cry when she unglued my eyes so I could open them she pulled & tugged my bottom eye lashes & ripped them off. I bought Zoom teeth whitening on Groupon. Anyone who has ever had Zoom teeth whitening knows how it is done. They take Zoom syringe and apply on your teeth and than you sit under the light. This was NOT it, don't get fooled with the false advertising! And there is a serious heath and safety concern - they use this whitening stick that you can buy on amazon for a few $, and apply it on your teeth. They probably use the same stick on many other people teeth! I immediately expressed my concern, removed the gel and asked for refund. I had a feeling this was too good to be truth for the price and when I was checking in I asked if they are using Zoom, they said YES! When I realized that it was not, they said 'this is our way of Zoom' Well, so if you want the 'their way of Zoom', go for it, but I don't recommend. read more

I started laser hair removal at this place about 8 months ago. I'm almost on my last session and haven't noticed a difference. I have random patches of hair because they don't go up and down with the laser they just do it randomly. They claim they don't want to burn my skin but I really don't feel anything but I also don't see any results. I had laser done before somewhere else and noticed a difference after the second session. I like to give credit where credit is due. Let begin with I love having long nice natural looking yet classy lashes. My daughter purchased a Groupon for Cosmo Med Spa for me to have my lashes done. She was under the impression that they were individual lashes. She is not into lashes not being familiar of the various types was not her lane. All she knew was I wanted my lashes done. The Groupon was a great deal $34 for a full set of lashes without the one fill. Apparently the Groupon that offered a refill were sold out which is $52. My appointment was made on a Tuesday, at 11am. On That Tuesday I arrived early around 10:45 am. The location was easy to find however the place was closed. No hours of operation on the door. So I waited. Then 2 more cars pull up and are also surprised that they aren't open. I decided to call the number I had for Cosmo Med Spa and the lady said they will be there shortly. They arrived a few minutes after 11am. When they get there they now have to set up to get their day started. The lady took me back for my appointment very nice and pleasant People. Once I realize that they were nice and friendly I let my frustrations go about them being late. As she prepped for my lashes, I noticed that they were clusters and not the single individual lashes I thought I was getting. Now the price of the Groupon makes more sense. I asked a few questions. They have a couple of length options I went with a long cat eye look. This is the look where the most inner area of the eyes ( towards the nose) lashes are shortest and the flare out longer towards the outer corners. This look has been most flattering for me. After about an hour we were finished. Be careful opening eyes because there may be a slight burning sensation occurs as it did. This is not a huge deal because it's minimal discomfort and lasts a few seconds. The application of the lashes was done professionally and pleasantly. The lash technician made friendly conversation that made the time go by fasts and easy for application. After the finished result I was satisfied. She informed me of how to care for them and how to make them lasts. She even mentioned to have a fill in would be $20 which was exciting and affordable for me. My lashes lasted a month. I was feeling as if I wanted them off to give my eyes a rest. I did what I usually do to remove lashes I applied make up remover which may have loosened 1 or 2 clusters. I googled how to remove lashes, it suggested that I apply steam and olive oil. That's what I did and to no avail I was unsuccessful in removing the lashes. Now I'm panicking and inspecting the lashes and there were areas of small globs of glue for lack of a better term underneath. I called and made an appointment for removal and I was told $10. I got dressed and made it there for the appointment. There's no wait, I was taken back immediately. A different tech gave me warning about not opening my eyes as the remover has to sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes or so the lashes were not coming off. She then advise me to sit another 5 minutes. She still had a hard time removing. It felt like she was pulling and cutting my lashes or shall I be more descriptive it felt like snatching them off. I complained of the discomfort and the lady apologized and said she was done and was just cleaning them up. Unbeknownst to me she did a few more snatches and each time said that she was done. I was very direct and concerned that she pulled my natural lashes which WERE a good length and were relatively healthy. When she was really done she insisted I wash my eyes with cold water or she would use eye drops. I'm not a fan for eye drops I opted for cold water in the rest room. As I looked in the mirror a great portion of my lashes shortened and missing. I was really disappointed but happy to be rid of the lashes. I paid my 10 and left out. Vowing to never return. I do not recommend the lashes. I'm not familiar with the other services but the lash experience was not great for me. Although the lashes look good it was not worth ruining my natural lashes. read more

It turns out that the Groupon they claim is such a great deal isn't. It's a scam. They charge the same if you walk in or if you buy Groupon. So this is my eyeliner after 2 month of recovery, it looks horrible, ink got spreaded under the skin, first 2 days after what this "professional" lady did I was blinded on my left eye, it looks horrible, there no professionalism, and as you see I got double line on one of my eyes after she tried to bleach my line cause it was uneven and what's more the was another lady that was saying what to do, to make this liner look even!! I never came back for correction because I know that I don't wanna this lady touch my face after all that! Mim was professional, delivered superior customer service during my treatment today, but the owner (wears glasses), I believe her name is Shaboo, was rude and didn't care. Maybe the slight disrespect was because of my diversity, who knows...While at checkout Mim and I were talking about future services I was considering when out of the blue, the owner, interrupted our conversation by coming in between us and took the payment device to assist another customer. Then seconds later she said, oh hi, with a non-apologetic smirk on her face. Mim tried to cover for her behavior but bad customer service is what it is. Also, if this spa wants to use Groupon to lure in customers, they need to be more transparent in their offerings, as I paid $75 more than I intended.
