When I heard they recently opened a Charlotte location, I couldn't wait to visit. This is THE PLACE to go if you are looking to replace your beauty products with those made from clean ingredients and natural fragrances. Everything they sell can be trusted to have none of the harmful chemicals that can harm your body. Aillea is located in the Park Road shopping center, next to Harris Teeter. They have a wide selection of brands including some of my favorites, such as RMS, Innersense, Rahua, Suntegrity, Plant Apothecary, Ilia, and so many more! I love being able to browse, try products, and test colors before purchasing, since I'm so used to just trying everything out online, and looking for pictures to see if colors will work on me. Their staff are very helpful, too, offering suggestions or assisting with picking the best colors. They offer events throughout the month to get facials or meet the product's makers. I definitely plan to attend some of these, and expect I'll be a regular at this store!

Don't recommend the Charlotte, NC location…read more I have been a loyal Lush customer since they were a tiny "hole in the wall" shop in an alley on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. After over 20 years of dedicated support, I am officially done. I live with a chronic pain disease and rely on Lush bath products for physical relief. Because the only store in the Charlotte area is located in an incredibly pretentious, inaccessible mall that is a massive chore to get to, I have to rely on delivery. Lush's current reliance on DoorDash for same-day delivery is a disaster on two fronts: 1. Unreliability: My orders are consistently mishandled or stolen, and customer service acts like it's just "business as usual." They told me orders have been getting stolen from this store via DoorDash on a regular basis. 2. Ethical Hypocrisy: Lush claims to be an activist brand, yet they partner with DoorDash--a company whose leadership provides massive financial support to Donald Trump. For a brand that preaches social justice, this is a glaring, hypocritical betrayal of their stated values. I recently reached out to escalate these issues, and despite my 20-year history with the brand, they issued a refund and closed the ticket without a second thought. A refund doesn't provide the pain relief I needed, nor does it address the fact that their delivery model is ethically and logistically bankrupt. As a PR specialist who knows how brand reputation works, I am appalled by how far this company has fallen. If you value reliability, accessibility, or ethical consistency, look elsewhere. Lush is no longer the company they claim to be.

They have soaps, laundry detergents, lip balm, body sprays and body creams and so much more! Ken, our guide through the shop, was friendly and knowledgeable of all the different types of products within the store. He stated that they even have classes for those interested. The only limitation of their items is that many of their products contain tree nut products (which are an allergen for me), but I definitely cannot hold that against them and plan to use what I can! The store is well-organized. I visited on a weekday and there was only one person working who seemed to be making/packaging new product as well as tending to customers. I was happy learn that it's a black/woman/veteran owned business. Let's talk hair. I purchased 2 bundles of hair In February for my birthday. I kept it in for a month. And then I did what most people would believe to be unthinkable lol; I gifted my used hair to my daughter. She doesn't change her hair nearly as much as I do. When I installed her weave I did it with the mind/skill set that she'll keep it in a long, long, long time, or that I'll be using the hair again for a re-install. She's active and in the summer she spends a lot of time swimming. I installed her hair in June she purchased a lace closure and it matched perfectly. Her weave is still in, and yes that includes the lace closure. The hair still looks as healthy, shiny and as full as it did when I purchased it in February.
