I booked an appointment at 10am on Saturday, 08 for both men's and women's services. No staff come at 10, so we have to wait till 11! Then the lady who did my hair, I asked her if she was a teacher or student, she said she was a student, but now she's a teacher, i thought her skill would be good. It turned out not good at all, and the guy who also worked that shift had to fix it again, which took even longer. The way that lady works made me kinda angry! When i go to hairdresser, i don't know much about the hair type so i just expect them to make it pretty. The lady asked me a hundred questions and still made it bad. I said i want layers, and a bang that has layers too. That's it, i said like that to every hairdresser i have been to and they all did great, they didn't ask me a hundred questions! So she cut a bang for me, i mean i don't know about it much but just from the look it looks very weird! Anyways i don't want to write it long but in the end, the guy had to fix everything from the cut to the styling. I have to give him compliments on his patience, he had to do 3 hairs at the same time! About that lady, whenever that guy told her not to do like this and that, and she said because i requested it?! I didn't have the preference picture at first but later i pulled out and i said i want to make it look like this. It was a pretty basic long-layered cut. She did look at it and still did it wrong. Both the cut and styling went bad. She needs to stop saying "because i requested it" and improve her skills. The guy who works on the same shift was good. I recently completed the Esthetician program at Cosmotek and passed my state board exam. As a full-time Physician Assistant, flexibility was one of my top priorities when choosing a program. The people who helped with my service were very nice. They were sweet, but I feel like they ignored what I wanted and just did their wn thing. I came to get red highlights, and I showed a picture of what I wanted to the lady doing my hair. She completely gave me the wrong thing. She gave me bright red hair on the top layer of my hair, and it was so bright and too much color. They offered to fix it, and I was satisfied with the second try, just mildly annoyed. Now, three weeks later, all the red washed out. There's just none left! Plus, I can't even see the bleach in my hair anymore. My hair is completely back to black, and I think I got scammed. Now I have to find a new trustworthy place to get my hair done, because this completely faded in less than a month. Terrible experience, and the teacher who did my hair was not the best (rude and rushing me). read more

Appreciated the communication by text message to check if I could come in to do a gel polish change. Naseem did my manicure and Nghi was always checking in and assisting if needed. I didn't really know what color I wanted and saw Naseem's nails and really liked them. They didn't have the exact color but they got it close. And she even took photos with me of our matching nails. They don't do the soaking for the cuticles. You wash hands in the sink and then it's a dry manicure. She cleaned my cuticles with a tool. Which is WAY better since I have sensitive cuticles and always get cut. So no anxiety or bloody cuticles here. They were both really patient with my wanting a certain look. Would for sure come back again. Note: make sure you don't have anywhere to be. I was there for 2 hours. But it went by fast and I'm very happy with the attention to detail. read more

I'm not a student but a happy customer of the student salon. I was able to make an appointment the day before I came in (a weekday). I came in with virgin black hair and wanted a golden balayage. I was immediately greeted and sat in a chair. The price was very fair and it only took about 3 hours. The two students who helped me were fabulous, nice, welcoming, and talented. When I first started my journey in Esthetics, I felt lost and wasn't sure how to become a professional in this field. To my luck, I stumbled upon Cosmotek College. I went to and called different schools but when I came to Cosmotek that very day, I knew I had to enroll there. I took a tour a few years ago because I wanted information about their esthetician program. The staff was very helpful and informative. I couldn't sign up then for personal reasons. I took another tour this year 2024 at their new location and was very impressed, same as before the staff was very friendly and welcoming. My wife been going here since the beginning of 2023. The instructors take real good care of her whenever she comes in. Her favorite teachers are Nghi, Tammy, and Michelle and they're like a family here. Some days they bring in food and share with each other. My wife even goes out to lunch with her classmates and teachers. Not many schools make you feel as comfortable as here. They have many programs here and my wife's in the nail tech program. I'm a customer, and this is my first time using their salon services here, specifically the Keratin Lash Lift, and the dandruff scalp treatment with massage. I loved the end result of the lash lift treatment. The student Yu was very detailed orientated. I have stubbornly straight lashes, so I'm hoping this treatment will keep them curled so I'm not left with raccoon under eyes after applying mascara on my lashes. The treatment is supposed to last up to 4-6 weeks so I'll have to update its longevity. The dandruff scalp treatment was great! I suffer from psoriasis, so my flaky dry scalp definitely needed this rejuvenation. The scalp massage was relaxing as well. I appreciated the hair care advice the student offered as well, which I'll be implementing in my daily routine. I can see myself using this service again monthly or bimonthly. The instructors were always present and attentive. I prefer here compared to other salons because the students take their time to ensure their final product is up to par, rather than traditional salons that tend to rush services in order to get to the next customer.
