Booked a spa pedicure with gel color and gel manicure through classpass app. Extremely poorly done nails. Manicure - The hand nails had polish lumps , unevenly applied nail polish, and more like a express service. Nothing like a spa pedicure treatment for this service. It was an extremely basic pedicure. The nails were also not evenly shaped. While thinking about choosing the color, the lady said, once you pick, I cannot change the color for you. At most other salons, they show you the colors, they are willing to try on for one of your nails if you'd like, and then go with it. And this wasn't a crowded place either. I was expecting a much better experience for a spa pedicure. The staff was nice but I'd expect properly done nails for the price that I pay. read more

My mother came in on her birthday to get her hair cut and dyed. When she came home, there were cuts along the circumference of her neck from the owner being negligent. We disinfected the cuts and applied ointment on them. When my mom came back to the salon to show the owner the cuts on her neck, she only offered an apology and then said, "what else do you want me to say?" The equipment is not well maintained and not sanitary. I would not recommend this business. read more

Kathy cut my long hair beautiful . I would like to recommend . Nice and clean salon too.

To begin I made an appointment for 11 AM. One of the stylist began working on my hair and a few minutes later another customer came in. It was immediately apparent that this other customer was more important because she dropped what she was doing with me and asked me to sit in a different chair and wait 30 more minutes so she could assist this customer. Even though I had an appointment and she had already begun working on my hair she asked me to sit for 30 minutes on the side. Secondly, I was only supposed to be at the salon for 90 minutes and I was there for over 2 1/2 hours because this stylist was going back-and-forth between doing my hair and another customer's hair rather than just prioritizing me who had an appointment. Thirdly when " washing my hair", which really meant pouring water on my head and vigorously, scrubbing it with a towel. I was left soaking wet. She kept splashing water in my eyes all over my face, and when I went to go and sit up, she had let the water pour all the way down my back and left my shirt entirely soaking wet. Then we had to spend five minutes of her blow drying my shirt. She did not apologize for making me soaking wet rather she asked why did it happen? After this, the lady didn't even put anything around my neck to begin cutting my hair and let all of my hairs fall on my face down my neck down my shirt and all over me without cleaning it up or wiping it off. I got back to my car with hair all over my face all over my neck and all over my arms and all over my shirt. Additionally, the chair that I had began sitting in where my bag and coat were, they allowed other customers to sit in that seat and sit on top of my personal items. We had to pull my jacket out from underneath another random customer because they didn't think to put that customer and chair where someone else's belongings were not already sitting. Now I'm going to have to wash my jacket because some random person was sitting on top of my jacket because they couldn't move my jacket or move the person. Additionally, the salon is not very clean. They were previous customers hair is all over the floor all over-the-counter and all over the seat. They did not really clean up that well. Also, I did not see any of the stylists using barbicide. read more

Well, I took my three sons here for haircut. We walked in and there was no customer so Kathy and her co worker were fast to start my two son's haircut. I showed them haircut looks. Kathy was fast she was using a hair trimmer without a scissor or brush so that worried me since my son had a lot of hair and it was curly. She ask me the length and I said short so she messed up his hair. She finished in less than 10 minutes and when I saw the front of my son's hair it was trimmed shorter than the rest of his head. I told her this is not how it should look like so she said: " it is his baby hair, I didn't cut that part" I said but he didn't had baby hair before we walked in because he had long hair then she said: "You kept saying short so I cut it short" I said no it shouldn't look like this, you ruined my son's hair so she start showing disrespectful behavior and said I didn't do anything, it is his hair so wait in the corner for your other son so I can help my next customer. I felt so humiliated and disrespected. I went and checked my little son's hair and it wasn't looking good as well but the other lady was very nice and calm so I said nothing I paid her and even tipped her and I told the lady that I am not going to pay for Kathy because she messed up my older son's hair and I just paid for one kid. The reason I am giving her this rating is because of her bad behavior and not being sorry for her mistake. We are human and we make mistake and if she was apologizing for her mistake I would have even tipped her because my son's hair will grow back but how she made me feel would not go from my brain. I also read some of her ratings now, she response in a very bad manner to her clients by calling them lier or scammers. She has very bad customer service. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Edited: I knew you would respond to my review. LADY I can buy your store and close it for good. People in this area don't care for $17. Start working on your customer service so you don't lose money. They also can make your hair look like s***. They also don't always cut your hair the way you want it but yet you're paying three hundred dollars for it.. I came here for service using my Groupon. I make an appointment not knowing who will be the hairstylist. The location is easy to find but parking little confusing since it was near the Lightrail station. I parked my car and went inside to confirm if it is safe to park...it's safe. Jesse was my hairstylist and she asked for my name. She asked what I like to get done base on my Groupon voucher. I came in wanting to get my medium brown hair to a medium to light ash blonde. I was hopeful but I know it will be tough. She told me due to my time constraint she cannot bleach entire head and cut in 2.5hr. I knew this might not happen. However, she gave me options and I chose to get full head highlights without touch up in addition with hair trimmed. I was please and happy how my hair turn out. Ok if you're looking at reviews before purchasing your Groupon, look no further. DO NOT GO HERE. I usually go to high end salons spending $70+ for a trim. I have thin straight lifeless hair and thought, why not try out a place near me just for a shampoo, condition, and trim. I scheduled my appointment on the phone, purchased the Groupon, and got to the salon. They asked what I wanted and I said I was the one who called for a trim. Her first question was "did you purchase the Groupon"- (I assume based off this quick question they get this a lot?). I said yes and she was instantly mad and ready to chop off all my hair. I asked if she needed confirmation and was told no but to show how much I paid. The scissors are flying everywhere I felt so unsafe so I asked if I should show her how much I paid before or after the cut because I wanted to remind her that she has scissors in her hand while she's pissed off flinging them in my face. She asked me 10x I was shaking trying to pull up the Groupon and bank statement. She was so frantic, I asked her why it mattered because I needed the service regardless to get a trim. I went in with my hair curled. She didn't even part my hair or wet it she went to cutting CURLED HAIR. I pulled forward and said please only a tiny baby trim no more than an inch. I asked her to calm down and I needed a moment. She told me to relax/ calm down repetitively and chipped my hair that was still parted to the side. After 5 total minutes in the chair, 6 uneven inches were cut off. In those 5 minutes she told me to calm down about 15x instead of pausing. I think she saw me starting to cry in her chair and didnt flinch, because she's upset I bought from Groupon. Why provide a promotion if you don't want to honor it? During the cut she kept asking me how much I paid. I said I didn't remember exactly but I could show her if she put the scissors down. This is the most insane part of it all... she is cutting my hair while looking at my phone and I look BOTCHED. I turned my phone away so she would focus on my hair and she put her cheek against my cheek in level with me touching skin cheek to cheek to see my bank statement. I gasped and looked at her because I felt so violated. She didn't flinch. My haircut was done in 5 min. She didn't even look at it to check what she had done, I think my 5 year old nephew would have provided better care and more precision. Then she puts me in a chair to get my hair washed. There was wet water on her arms running down that she WIPED on my forehead repetitively. I paid for a deep condition and my hair wasn't conditioned to say the least. She puts me back in the chair and puts in no heat protectant and proceeds to dry (aka burn) my scalp. I told her to not worry about it and I can leave with wet hair. So that's what I did. I was in and out within 14 minutes. I have time stamps saying "brb about to enter this new salon" and seeing my FaceTime to my friend of me crying after the experience. Not only did I leave with short, uneven, burnt/ damaged hair, but I was humiliated by her bullying me about purchasing a Groupon. She legit cut my hair while looking at my phone screaming about how much I really paid. Shame on you, Ohlone salon. When someone is shaking in your chair asking you to wait, don't tell them to calm down. Fix your behavior and stop yourself before you ruin hair that took years to grow out. And lastly, shame on me for not standing up for myself and telling her how uncomfortable that whole experience truly was. Beyond the haircut, it was the worst service I have experienced read more

Kathy, the salon owner, did a wonderful job on my full highlights. I started with 3+ colors on my hair - a previous blond highlight on the bottom half of my hair, a dark brown color on 1/3 of my hair which I attempted to color with a box kit, and 1/3 of my natural color (black) in my roots that grew out. I was also unhappy with my last haircut which gave me the reason to divorce my previous hairdresser of over 4 years. I informed Kathy that I was on a budget but really needed to fix my hair. Instead of doing a color-correction which would've taken a lot more time and money, Kathy colored my roots to match the middle section of my hair, and she then highlighted my whole head so all the colors were fairly and evenly distributed (even with varying shades of blond, which I didn't mind at all). I requested an Ash Blond highlight, and Kathy got very close to the color I wanted! It is not perfect and exact, but close enough, especially for the fair amount it costs! What I especially appreciated was her effort to save my dry and fragile hair on the ends, where she used a different highlighting mix (more subtle to prevent breakage and to keep my hair from drying more). I didn't request this and was not aware that was even an option! She also advised against me using a hair dryer to prevent my hair from drying more. Kathy took the time to let the toner sit on my hair to get the desired shades. In the process of styling my hair, she also recommended products she used that she placed on my hair. Lastly, she trimmed the corners of my hair to get more of a "V" shape as I requested due to a bad previous haircut, and she did not charge me extra. Instead, I gave her a good tip because it was well deserved. I'll be sure to go back to her! read more

I went in for a Brazilian Wax. She was pretty nice and asked me many times if it hurt. Yes, it hurt a lot, but I got through it pretty quickly. She charged me $35 dollars. The room she took me in was very small and during the waxing, the other woman who worked there walked in! THEN she locked the door... unprofessional. When she was putting stuff on me, she would sometimes tell me what it was, and then sometimes she didn't. When I got home, I found out that there were patches of hair she missed! Christine was excellent! It was worth all the wait in the world! She re-made my look back in 2014. I got a bargain on Groupon. At first she was confusing me with what my purchase came with she mentioned something about charging me extra because my hair was thick.. to be honest Im not surprised i've totally gotten that comment before simply because its true but also gives these salons reason to get money off of it. so i went for the works and it took double the time i expected of course bc of how thick and stubborn my hair was. But all was good. The jungle highlights does something to my complexion that no other hairstyle can. Overall happy with my hair she did charge me 50 ontop of the deal i got for 42 which is still a pretty sweet deal considering other salons who probably would have charged me for and extra bill. read more

The Groupon may sound like a great deal. But. You will literally waste your money. I went for partial highlights/ cut and blow. Literally burned my scalp and I have zebra highlights. I asked if she was going to tone my hair. NOPE. Literally brassy zebra prints. She took an hour. I had thick long hair with subtle highlights before. I wanted to add more dimensional highlights. Kathy literally bleached the crap out of my hair and I asked her to check multiple times. She left me at the sink and went to cut other customers hair. My hair cut was supposed to medium and light layers. She gave me blunt choppy chunks and I am so sad. Absolutely the worst decision I have ever mad. I contacted my GO to salon and hopefully they will be able to fix this mess ASAP. Update: It's not about the money for me. It's about how my hair was treated. The men that got their cuts from her were great. My experience was not. I went ahead to my original stylist and I'm blessed that she fixed my hair. It's on you if you guys decide to risk it or not.
