I explicitly stated that I need a low maintenance cut and that was the result. The owners comment about me arriving late and my haircut was not being completed is incorrect. I came here to get a professional haircut and ask the opinion of someone who knows hair better than I do, but the stylist couldn't give a straight answer on any of the questions I had. She barely cut anything off and couldn't decisively answer any questions on what would look best for my face shape or different cuts or styles I could try for my hair type. I was looking to get answers, but everything was noncommittal, so not very helpful. Not a great experience. Definitely a waste of money. Follow up to the response: I would argue that I don't know what I don't know. And if I ask a question and get noncommittal answers, then I can't make an informed collaborative decision because I wasn't given the information I needed to do so. And if I seemed unsure, it's because my stylist wasn't giving me very much confidence in her answers. But if that's how this business runs, then my advice to other women would be to only come here if you know exactly what you're looking for already. Don't expect strong opinions or input. read more

I booked a lash lift appointment with Gia, and I wish I would have done so sooner. Gia was so warm and inviting from the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a huge smile which was very welcoming. Even though I've tried multiple salons and high-end barber shops over the years, I don't think I've ever written a review on any of them. That's because all my prior hair stylists were truthfully just okay overall. Sean at Salon Rache however is in a whole other league. I've gone to him for about a year now and he is just amazing. I'm the type of guy who likes to bring in pics of how I think I want my hair. Sean takes all this in and then he makes great suggestions on how he could even make the style better. I've grown to completely trust him because the dude seriously knows what he's doing. After he works his magic, the end result is a masterpiece! Sounds funny to say that but it's so true. Nina has done a great job updating, modernizing and running this salon! She took over ownership from what used to be Salon Rache. I've been a client of hers for 22 years. She's always had an eye for design and used her expertise for the decor. Its a perfect blend of minimal meets modern. Very pleasant atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in. The stylists all seem professional and unpretentious, skilled and well trained. There are still some of the same stylists from the old salon, all of whom do a fantastic job. The people were nice and their studio is beautiful, but as a customer with curly, 3a/3b type hair, it's hard to find a stylist that knows curly hair. I mean the girl that I had do my hair was great at what she does, don't get me wrong. I just wanted simple layers to have volume and I showed her some pictures. But after when I got home, did my usual hair treatment process and styled it, it just wasn't close to the amount of layers I wanted, it was no different from the hair length I had going into there. My regular salon didn't offer any outdoor services so that's why I chose to go to Salon Rache because they provide outdoor services for both color/cut. They follow strict procedures so you can stay safe. I felt very safe when I went and I was only inside for the shampoo and they disinfect all areas very frequently. My stylist was Sunny Oh and she is super friendly, easy to talk to. She cut/colored my hair exactly how I wanted after having a phone consultation. Everything was perfect.
