I have dealt with this store twice in the last year . If I could have did 14 stars I would have . This is not a sponsored review . The owner of this store uses the old school relationship building aspect of good business . I'm not even going to tell you how he provided excellent customer service cause him and his team went way out of their way to help me and in return they got this honest yelp review. Things happen when dealing with other warehouses , shipping , etc this man has never let me down when making things right . They will have a forever customer . We bought this bed frame from them because we moved in to a new apartment. I was having bug bites problems and we found out that it was from the bed frame we got from them, not the new apartment. We went back to the store and asked if we could get a refund and return it or at least let us get something else, but they didn't want us to. It was horrible. Went into cost Rite today with my daughter just looking for one loveseat walked out with a tv stand and a sectional at a very good price. The sales associate Yum Yum was very helpful although she was not down our backs to purchase anything she gave me the same day delivery which I was really looking for an out of all the other furniture stores we went to they were the best customer service which is why we bought our furniture from there I will be back and I will be looking for Yum Yum to sell me more furniture good prices and good furniture J. I explained what I was looking for and he understood right away, taking me to the exact sofa/loveseat I was hoping to find. Very pleasant fellow and nice to work with. I purchased over 2,000 something dollars on furniture and bought one item that was back ordered. The item that was back ordered I paid for in October 2020 and I was told it would come mid February. When February came I waited around for someone from cost rite Furnature to call me to let me know where my item was. I didn't receive a call or notice so I took it upon myself to them called to get an eta on the item I purchased. I spoke with Jorge and he told me that my item is still on back order due to covid and it would not arrive until mid March. I was frustrated because I did not get a call from them notifying me of this change. I felt like they took my money and forgot about me! When mid March came around I called them to check on the status of my order and I was given the run around again, saying my item was still on back order and it wouldn't arrive until mid April. So I waited until mid April. Mid April came and again I was told that my item is still on back order and it won't arrive until May 2021, (mind you I purchased this item October 22nd 2020). I'm giving them one star because of their horrible customer service! when I ask them to deliver they told me no, since I lived 30min away and I would have to come pick it up ( it was a end table for my living-room but it still was expensive. plus my car isn't that big ). I demanded a refund because they had no compassion and treat me horribly, like it was my fault. I understand it's COVID but as a customer please give me the courtesy of 1) notifying me of delays and 2) being able to make me the customer happy when doing business. especially after spending over a thousand dollars on other items purchased also in October 2020 at their store. We haven't even had our table for a year, there is at least one loose leg on each of our chairs. Our bench also has a loose leg. The zipper on one of the chair backs has popped off and has came completely undone. A button on a chair front popped off. We payed nearly 6 hundred dollars cash for a table a chairs that are complete GARBAGE. I have to tighten legs once a day if not more. read more

Let me say something real quick about this place. I moved to Vallejo just last week, Cost Rite is located just 2 blocks away from my new place. In the process of moving my things over I thought I'd stop by this local shop instead of shopping at one of the big retails. But let me tell you, I could not have been more specific with this man. I told him I had a mattress, no box, just a mattress. I told him I needed THE BOX FRAME. So he gives me a box out the warehouse. I take it home, build it, just to find out it's the wrong thing. He gave me a frame to place a box on top of, BUT I DONT HAVE THE BOX. I'm like okay, I'll sleep on the floor tonight, exchange it tomorrow. I go back the next day and he's not there, an older asian woman tells me that HE is the manager and to come back and talk to HIM. So I sleep on the floor again. Okay. I go back the NEXT day, this man took no responsibility for giving me the wrong product, then he claimed that there were pieces missing when THERE WAS NOT. He then tells me to come back the next day to talk to the owner, (mind you, he wasn't even the manager. That woman lied to me just to not have to deal with me, fucking rude) anyway I ask what the point was of talking to the owner if he's just gonna tell me the same thing. THIS MAN AGREED WITH ME. So I'm like "So why in the hell are you gonna waist my time by telling me to come back???" I have never been so upset with a sales employee before. I work in customer service and when my customer tells me what they need I make sure to get them exactly that. This place waisted my time, my money, and my energy. We needed furniture for our apartment and never thought we were getting "sham wowed." They told us $2300 for our "leather couch" but recently less then a year later and it's peeling. Also the recliner handle in the middle section just broke off. The "real wood" table got stained in one dinner. The handles on the dresser fell off and the rail was broken from regular use. When we called him he said that our wooden table was vinyl wood even though it was one of the only real wood tables in his store. Everything has broken or fell apart with in a regular family environment and we have a bitter taste in our mouth. I would never have bought half the furniture if I knew it was "vinyl leather" and "vinyl wood." I've never seen real leather peel like this. Pretty much all of his furniture is fake Chinese imports. I feel like taking him on Judge Judy. Literally everything in his store is a lie, don't buy if you plan on actually using the furniture. read more

Unfortunately, the chubby delivery guy ruined my whole experience with this furniture place.... My father and I walked in and in less than 15 minutes we dropped $1400 to these people for a bed set. Mind you I literally live 2 minutes away from the store... The moving guys came to bring me my bed and dresser and such right on time but the problem was the young chubby moving guy. He HAD ALL THE ATTITUDE IN THE WORLD AND WAS NOT TRYING TO HIDE IT. As a female living by herself and some MAN with an attitude is in her home I didn't feel comfortable AT ALL.. Thank God an older gentleman was with him, because i was going to have to tell the rude guy he could take the furniture back to his truck! I offered water and was very nice to the men but all i got wass attitude. CRAZY!!! too many furniture stores in Vallejo.. Too much competition.... I went in for a dining room set. It is a small place and doesnt look like much from the outside. A lady approached and helped me right away. I literally chose a table and had delivery set up for the next day in 15min. No hassle experience and on the day i went they had many sales. Delivery is also only $40. I could of bought a table from OfferUp but i dont want to deal with pick up and set up. Their service is better than Vallejo Furniture Gallery. read more

Never again. Cost Rite should be called Cost Wrong. This is the email I sent the owner: Date: 3/19/19 3:38 PM (GMT-08:00) To: thang@costritefurniture.net Subject: To the Owner re:Invoice #08915 I was expecting a delivery from Cost Rite today between 10am & 1pm. I called the store at 12:30 to confirm & was told by a man identifying himself as "only a salesman", delivery was in route and would be here by 1pm. I took off work to be here for this delivery and am NOT paid when not at work. I called BACK to the store at 1:20pm and was told there was a "problem" with the truck that affected 5 other deliveries today & it would be rescheduled for tomorrow between 4 & 7. Cost Rite NEVER called me to inform me of any of this & if I hadn't called I'd STILL be waiting here. For nothing. NOT being paid. I asked if I could be compensated with an artificial plant or something. I was told, "I'm only a salesman you'd have to talk to the owner." I can not believe the low level of Customer Service at Cost Rite nor can I believe this is how the owner runs this business. I went to three other furniture stores on Sonoma Blvd before purchasing at Cost Rite. I am very disappointed in the Customer Service. The owner called me after receiving this email and did not offer a discount, nor did he offer a vase or or artificial plant for my inconvenience...Never Never Again. The people in the store were nice, however the delivery service was super rude. They basically threw the bed in the room and set it on top of my laptop and broke it. And have the nerve to have an attitude. I have something on layaway there but I'm going to go take it off because I didn't like the delivery service. They need to fire those rude hoodlums. read more

I would never recommend anyone go here. They could care less about their customers. I was profiled from the second I walked into that store. Noticing I was a young Hispanic they paid no attention to me when I walked into the store. I had to ask for staff assistance myself. As I'm calling my spouse , the staff assistant starts to criticize me & pisses me off. I got into an argument with the cashier sense they wouldn't take my debit card which had my PICTURE & MY PHOTO ID WITH THE SAME INFORMATION . I walked in and was helped immediately. Explained what I wanted and was shown the closest recliner that would fit my needs, it was perfect. I love the fact that I wasn't pressured into something more expensive. Was given a choice of Delivery times and it was delivered on time. All staff was friendly and professional, from the salesman to the delivery men. They will be my first stop when replacing other furniture. read more
