They showed up and had the pad down in no time. The carpet went just about as fast. The seams are next to impossible to see in the door ways. With their great prices I was able to get a much higher quality carpet for my finished basement. Have them give you a bid. read more

The hard flooring products were pretty good and fair value but the installation much less then satisfactory. They did come back to make some fixes but I always have to be fully flexible to their schedules. At one point they came one day to start some fixes and were supposed to finish the next morning early, but didnt show up and I got a text an hour after they were supposed to arrive saying they would try to arrive AFTER 4pm. I had to once again reshuffle MY day. I also had some carpet installed by Lowes and had such a better experience. When CUL did the tile they left a mess on my outside concrete and I had to chip away grout to install the mouldings. Also had lots of other messes to clean up on walls, they dented the new floor when they pulled out the stove, and I had to recaulk the awful job they did. Would not use CUL again. read more

Went in to look at carpet and hardwood and the experience left a lot to be desired. As soon as I walked through the door, they asked if I was with a builder and when I responded "No", it seems like I was immediately dismissed as a potential customer. The salesperson was condescending and abrupt and their prices were within $0.10/sq ft of the other 3 places we had visited. Skip this place and find somewhere else...anywhere else really. read more

I'm telling ya, these folks are the best! We got a higher quality product for less money installed perfectly. And...THIS COMPANY KEEPs THEIR PROMISES! Perhaps you too have dealt with Companies that make all kinds of promises but never follow through. It must be in the Carpet Dealer's Handbook under, "How close a sale with promises you'll never keep." Not so with these guys. Yeah! *My wife found this company. We checked their store and liked what we saw - a lot! I mean, their stuff was really good. But clearly better than we could afford. I thought. Their prices were so good, in fact, I fully expected to find a guy named Guido selling the stuff out of the back of a semi truck. Not so, again. The prices were fantastic...and genuine. In my mind the install is the test of fire. I can't say enough about how good the installers were. They were clean-cut, careful and courteous. I never had reason to question their honesty. Try to find guys like that in the companies. BOTTOM LINE: Don't cheat yourself. Just have these guys do it. You'll get better stuff, installed better for less. I've been waiting to write this review for months as this company stumbled their way through my install and billing. I say months because that's how long it took to finish the install and complete the billing. I would like to point out that I think they have a great selection of all types of flooring, their pricing is competitive, they are friendly, and at the end of the day the install was acceptable. So why the one star? This company doesn't know how to communicate with each other or with the customer. I felt like the project manager through the whole experience. I ended up choosing 500 SqFt of vinyl laminate plank flooring and 650 SqFt of carpet. They have separate installers for each product and due to the carpet being back ordered I waited a couple weeks after the vinyl install to get the carpet in. Not a big deal as we've been in the middle of a whole house remodel anyway. What ended up being a big deal is the transition from vinyl to carpet. The installer had issues and left it undone. He needed to come back anyway because they were backordered on the quarter round that needed to be placed in front of my entry doors, but weeks went by without a call. By now my new carpet was installed so all I needed was the vinyl to be completed. I ended up having to call them to determine the quarter round had arrived and then to schedule the rest of the install. Even after coming back the installer couldn't resolve the transition from vinyl to carpet so I had to schedule another installer to complete the job. Throughout each of these steps the company remained clueless that my job wasn't completed. Going on simultaneously was resolving a billing problem. I had been overcharged on quarter round and a reducer piece that was not used plus the install for those pieces. Calling them yet again I explained the issue and they assured me it would be removed after they confirmed with the installer what was actually used. After I chased down and scheduled the installer I reviewed the invoice with him to ensure I wasn't missing anything. He agreed I was charged for materials he didn't use. I confirmed he would let them know and he said yes. So last week I receive the final bill and everything is still on there. No credits. No removals. Nothing. Arghhhhh...... Today I called them and explained the issue and they nicely credited back $143.48 to my account. All told I probably called them 30 times over the course of the project, resolving issues and scheduling work. I don't think I should have to do that. Very disappointing. My family and I are happy with the final product and based on that alone I would have given a much higher rating. Unfortunately, due to lack of communication and uncaring or uninvolved management I DO NOT recommend using this company and have already talked one person out of going there. Be warned. read more

This was absolutely the best experience ever! We lived in our house for over 20 years and it was time to change a few things and the carpeting was first on our list. Our neighbors referred us to Cost U Less and we could not be happier with the service that we received! We had all of our questions answered and given several suggestions on what would work best for us. So glad that we went with their expert opinions. Love our new carpeting and it was so easy on us. I have to tell you this is not the review I wanted to give this company. I used them 11 years ago, and had an amazing experience. I am not sure they were the least expensive, but they were so great to work with. We had laminate and carpet installed throughout our house. Eleven years later I could not have had a bigger contrast in my experience. This was the first place I went. The salesman said all the things I was hoping to hear. Said he could do what we needed done as far a matching our flooring, so we proceeded on a remodel project under that assumption. Just when it was time to get everything ordered and set, I called and he said that they could not actually do it, and he had meant to call me for the last 3 weeks, but didn't get to it. To say I was frustrated would be an understatement. I got a hold of one of the brothers, of course it is one that wasn't part of the ownership 11 years ago, but I trusted him to help me. He helped me find what I needed now that I had to replace an extra 400 square feet that I had not planned for. He told me he would get me an unbeatable deal, when he called to let me know, he told me how he pulled so many 'strings' to get this amazing price, which ended up a little more then our contractor's price. No it doesn't end there. We had a flood and had to again re-do my new floor. The original installer could not fit us in, so I asked the contractor to use Cost U Less, because I trusted them. They came out and bid it, and the installation price almost doubled. When I called Scott and questioned him, he told me the $700 installation rate was because it was a more complicated job after the flood. I trusted them again. Well it took an, yes one installer less than 2 hours to install this 'complicated' job, to be fair he did have a young kid that ran his garbage out. I couldn't believe I paid over $350 an hour for my floor to be installed. Again, to say I was frustrated would be again an understatement. I went in and spoke to Scott about how I felt cheated. He told me that it was all out of his control because it is just up to the installer. Well the thing is I hired him, the installer was who he chose, and if they can't find installers that are honest then why would I trust them. This went from a place I sent friends and family to, one i believed was honest and trustworthy, to one that I feel like would take advantage of anyone they could. Im suprised at the review only giving 1 star. In fact, the reason I am writing this review is because my experience has been great. I always work with Ray and he has been very accomodating, always happy,easy to deal with and his folow up is very professional. I have a weird shaped home with lots of challenging seams. They have gone out of their way to evalaute each space to save money but not lose quality. I also request Robbie to complete the install. I feel very comfortable with him in my home and he does a great job. I wouldnt go anywhere else. I have also compared pricing to big box stores and I always come out ahead with Cost U Less. I have used this company for MANY MANY years and their price and quality cannot be beat. They are THE most HONEST people in the business. You can totally trust them. I would not go anywhere else for my flooring needs. They just carpeted my whole house two years ago and the carpet looks as good as the day it was put in! Love this place, love the people there.
