I have to say that I usually do not write reviews for any insurance company's due to to the fact they all seem the same to me but when I can here to this establishment I meant with an agent named Angelita, I must say she guided me and gave me options other insurance company ever gave me! Truly amazed with her work and really seemed like she was not trying to rob me for my money, I ended up paying a little more less than I usually do. "Bait & Switch Scam & Unscrupulous Thievery" I was recently in search of Auto Insurance. After several correspondence with different agencies over the phone, Cost-U-Less Insurance (a brokerage) off Ming Ave offered me the best deal. I made an appointment with Martha, who promised me $28.00/mounth for State minimum PL/PD. I was thrilled. Who wouldn't be? I showed up for the appointment and Martha was not in, but left instructions for another agent to handle my policy. I explained to him exactly what Martha and I had discussed regarding prices and my situation. Everything seemed to be understood by the the gentleman helping me, so we began the paperwork. Just as we were to finish up our business, his computer suspiciously quit working. He asked another agent to run a search for a particular insurance company (something anyone can do themselves online) to finish my policy. After dealing with second agent, the $28/month promised to me more than doubled, they demanded first and last month payments up front, plus an an additional "filling fee" of $410; that evening on the spot. Mind you my Driving record is spotless. When I question the agent about the $410 dollars filling fee, he explained to me that the fee was a "down payment" towards my policy incase I lapsed on any payments. When asked him why I needed to pay a down payment if I was already paying a first and last payment, he told me it was company policy. I saw it as a broker trying inflate unnecessary fees to line his pockets. Turns out, this is exactly what it was. The $410 was a bundle of hidden/fake fees that would not have gone towards my policy what so ever. In fact, the first broker, that initially helped me, literally told me it was an insurance policy for my insurance policy; as if they charged everyone this same fee and it was normal (no big deal). My partner and I looked at each, laughed and walked out. I've decided to report them to the California Insurance Commissioner. I went home and did some research online and learned this is common amongst dishonest brokers. I ended up contacting an insurance company directly (no brokers). Progressive gave me a $50/month policy, with no down payment or hidden fees, and offered me a $100 dollar discount if I payed 6 months in full (making 30/month); which I gladly accepted. Not only that, they offer 24hr support, you get an online account, and they have an app which accepts online payments with no extra processing fees. MY ADVICE TO YOU ALL ... DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM Cost-U-Less Insurance!! DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE, BUY FROM AN INSURANCE COMPANY DIRECTLY. IT'S WORTH IT. read more

Please please find yourself a different insurance. The broker who assisted me name is Glad (shortened for confidentiality) . She sold me false insurance information. She told me that I would have to pay a one time payment to have my insurance paid off for the rest of the year. One month later I got a letter stating that I owed more money (hundreds!) she has coerced her coworkers to not accept my calls and When speaking with the supervisors they said it's nothing they can do. To avoid confrontation she told her coworkers to tell me she had Covid, that she was busy and that she doesn't work their anymore. Please do extreme research when looking for your insurance. I looked for 6 months before finally picking this insurance. Do excessive research. If it's cheap keep in mind that it could be too good to be true. She lied as well as "cost u less insurance" the insurance was through a company called Aspire. read more
