Service: We called inquiring about the discount. The person on the phone was unaware of the daily special. He finally said he would fix the issue prior to pick-up. Well, that never happened. The food is always good at Costa Vida. However this location is so odd. There are screens all along the wall as you wait in line, but they're all full of ads, no menu. The only menu is above the service line. However, no one can see that one from the customer line because they have another screen hanging in front of it facing the workers and it completely obscures the menu screens. The result is that you look like an idiot when you get to the place in line where you order because you haven't been able to see the menu until then. There's also a side patio for sitting outside but the doors leading to it are locked so you have to go back to front door and walk around the front of the building to get there. Such strange and inconvenient decisions made by management at this location. It's ok though, there are other Costa Vida locations not far from this one. I'll go there next time. read more

I NEVER review a food establishment but it seems to be a consistent issue at this location. I ordered double chicken, they gave me about one full scoop and than charged me for three scoops. My total came out to nearly 18 dollars for a regular sized costa vida burrito. read more

I really enjoy Costa Vida, but just not at this location. I have noticed that the employees at this Skyline Dr. seem to have been trained to put the least amount of rice, beans, and meat on the dishes that they can. My family has joked about seeing them spread the sweet pork around the dish, leave a super small amount, and then put the rest back in the serving container. My experience on 10/16/22 was the last straw. I was astounded at how little rice/beans/meat they served on my small salad. I did not make a fuss, as in the past they have quickly tried to charge you extra, but this was the last straw. I will not be going back. read more

Dear Costa Vida, stop flipping your screen toward the customer and expecting a 15% 20% or 25% tip. First of all I don't want to touch it and second, that level of tipping is for servers who come to the table, take orders, make sure orders are correct and served promptly, keep drinks filled, check back and make sure we don't need anything and for servers who only make $2.10/hr. It is not for fast food, or kitchen employees who are making regular minimum wage and above. It's ridiculous that those are the only options. I have no problem throwing a couple bucks out for exceptional service but cmon. This is fast food. Your employees aren't working for tips and shouldn't expect them. If you can't leave an option for the customer to decide a tip amount then no tip is the only option. read more

Wellll I may officially have a problem when my son sees the logo for Costa Vida on my email and yells "the burrito people!" I love the salads here and quick service. The employees at this location are always very friendly. There are different specials each day of the week but I usually stick to their salads. I love that they offer a small salad option here. Their dressings are both a nice compliment to the salad. I've only ever tried grilled chicken and sweet pork but both are good. The shrimp burritos are also pretty delicious. My son loves the kids meal here especially the cinnamon tortilla that comes with it. There's plenty of seating for all of us and the establishment is always clean. This is our on the go option we always pick. You can get points towards credits if you download their app and scan your receipts. The app offers coupons and freebies occasionally as well. read more

I come here quite a bit. I live nearby so I receive a Buy One Entree Get One Free coupon in the mail at least once a month which makes this place a really affordable and quick dinner. However, the food is hit and miss. I like the nachos, salads, smothered burritos, and enchiladas here (yeah, basically everything!). However, the meat is what I don't like. The shredded beef is awful. I used to enjoy the sweet pork, but the last time I was here I got a bite that was just pure fat. Probably about 3-4 tablespoons of pure fat was pulled from my food and that flavor and texture won't be leaving my brain anytime soon. For now I'll be sticking with the chicken or going meatless and loading up on the beans! I enjoy both the beans and rice here. The queso is great whether you get a side of it or you put it on the nachos. The service has always been good and the nighttime shift manager that I generally see rocks. He's younger, nice, and always on top of everything. As long as the coupons keep showing up in the mail, I'll keep showing up at this location. read more

I LOVE this place! It is located very close to my office and it's very addictingly yummy, so I find myself eating here almost every week. Costa Vida is by far the best burrito-bar style restaurant I have ever eaten at. Chipotle is boring compared to Costa Vida. Cafe Rio, which is similar in many ways, just isn't nearly as good or as high in quality. The best thing on the menu by far is their sweet pork. If you haven't tried Costa Vida's sweet pork, then you haven't truly experienced Costa Vida! I used to always order their smothered burrito, but recently I have been hooked on their enchiladas. Both items are delicious and very similar (tortilla, rice, beans, cheese, meat & sauce with lettuce and pico de gallo on the side) but I find that I enjoy the different flavors of their sweet pork and cilantro lime rice more when I eat the enchiladas as the rice and beans are on the side instead of being mixed into the burrito. In my experience, the service here at the South Ogden restaurant has always been outstanding. The employees are friendly and Denise, the manager, is amazing! Even when they are slammed busy at lunch time she always has a moment to smile and say hi. read more

We decided to call in a order for our family tonight. We called the Costa vida in south Ogden 1657 skyline dr at 4:12pm & the lady on the phone said it would be ready in ten minutes. When we came to pick it up, a man came to our car & asked us the name on the order. 20 minutes later came back and said there wasn't an order under that name & walked away. We were confused if he was going to come back or not. NOPE. He didn't. When we called to see if we needed to re-Order we were told that we probably called the wrong store... when we called the same number. I asked to speak to the manager & instead of apologizing about the misunderstanding, he did not offer any sort apology!! By this point we had been waiting over an hour with two young, hungry, upset children. I told him we would not be visiting his store anymore and the response BY THE MANAGER was, 'K bye!' This has always been our favorite Costa vida & we were understanding with the mistake, but after talking to not one, not two, but THREE workers & not one of them offered an apology.. I love Costa Vida and their food is fantastic! The drake salad with the ranch and vinaigrette dressings mixed together is the only way to go. Horrible Service! I love Costa Vida and visit both this location, as well as the Downtown Ogden Location, regularly. I am always surprised by the lack of customer service when I order from or visit the South Ogden location and then equally surprised by the overwhelming customer service offered by the Downtown Ogden location. The unfortunate part is that the South Ogden location is very, very close to my office and, as a company, we order from them regularly as well. Two specific instances of poor customer service... After having had the same problem numerous times (I would ask the gal preparing my meal to place the sour cream on the enchilada, not on the rice, only to watch her immediately plop the sour cream right on the rice), I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the Manager. Instead of apologizing and assuring me that the situation would be corrected, he instead told me that she had been an employee of his for many years and told me that I should request the sour cream on the side, which I have done ever since. Unfortunately, this just adds one more unnecessary step for me, both in ordering and enjoying my meal. Instance number two.... As most of the company is out of the office on business, we chose to order Costa Vida for lunch. Now, I can not imagine that this was a small feat for them, as there must have been at least 15 orders. However, everything was written out for them on their order form. Not only did they make a mistake on my order, they did not even fulfill it! They instead fulfilled another gals twice! You would think that having to write her name on the lid twice, would have clued them in. So, unfortunately, I was left with a meal that I did not order, was not prepared the way I like it and was ultimately un-edible for me. Did I lodge a complaint in this instance, nope. History has told me that the management does not care for complaints, nor will they handle them. Instead, this time I have decided to take my complaints to the WWW as a warning to others who may be deciding between them and one of the competing restaurants in the plaza. This location is WAY too stingy with everything. They charge a fee for anything you ask a little extra for. I ordered an enchilada entree and asked for just rice and no beans. When I asked if they could give me a little extra rice since I didn't order beans they charged me a dollar! And they don't offer free quesadillas like Cafe Rio does.
