Stopped into Costco while visiting my father. He was in need of new tires, and wanted to see what their pricing, and warranty options were. The staff in the tire department got his questions answered, though they seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, and his asking questions seemed to be an inconvenience to them. We took a quick walk through the store before leaving, and like any other Costco, you can get food, healthcare items and household goods in excessive bulk. They also carry home furnishings, and the tire department sold a wide variety of tires as well as car batteries. Also, like every other Costcos, this place was packed with shoppers, I'm guessing you can go any of their operating hours, and find the store just as packed. A bit too stressful for my liking, and the parking lot just seems like complete chaos read more

My husband went to the optical department to have his glasses adjusted. The girl that was working in that department was talking to another male employee. My husband waited patiently to be acknowledged and helped while they had a conversation between themselves. He explained that he needed his glasses centered. She looked at them and said they were fine, the problem must be with the prescription. She did not end up helping him and he lost his patience and left. She clearly just did not want to do anything related to her job today! Do better Costco! read more

This particular Costco on Lighthouse Drive is as good or better as any other one I've been to. It has the same level of cleanliness as others, which is always good. The shelves are always stocked, even if you venture in late in the day on a weekend. Of course we have our favorite items - the chicken salad keeps us coming back! Yesterday 8/8, we returned on a Thursday. Of course not mobbed like weekends, but BIG improvements: floors clean, no clutter, vegetables fruits Not piled high out of boxes ( folk then squeeze causing fast spoilage), and BEST of all the rotisserie chickens were cooked perfectly, juicy plenty of flavor, not dry like last month. BRAVO for these important fast fast improvements! Now we still need help with the pizza hot dogs and huge change to formulation of all baked goods. Giant decrease in old flavors. read more

We just got a Costco membership (again!) after about 5 years of not being members. We definitely missed their food court's chicken bake, whole pizza and hotdogs! First time this week coming to this location and it's huge. Friendly staff and great selections. Will be back for sure. We have been executive members for nineteen years and are consistently impressed with the overall quality of Costco products and services especially their Optical Department. It is excellent ! They offer high quality lenses and frames with all the extras included in a very reasonable price. Many insurances are accepted. Costco has high expectations for their staff and their optical staff is exceptional. Lee Antunez is one of their licensed opticians who I have experienced on multiple occasions as well as some of my friends. He is a consummate professional who takes great care in providing quality service. He makes sure that you are satisfied and has fixed and adjusted my many glasses over the years. On one occasion, my husband sat on my new glasses. I thought I would have to replace them however, Mr. Antunez fixed them right back to new!!! He is amazing and he did it without judgement and with a smile and great professionalism. We highly recommend Costco Optical and hope you try it out. read more

Operated separately from the warehouse though you do need to be a Costco member to fill up here. This will be the cheapest gas in the area because it's subsidized by your Costco membership. Unless you're driving something large (like a Sprinter van), you can line up on either side of the pumps because the hoses are super long. And they don't have all the different flavors of fuel. I visited the Bradenton store yesterday 4/8/26 to renew my membership. I don't like to play the race card but I was discriminated against by an associate at the Services desk named Taryn. While I standing in line waiting he waited on 2 customers before me (both white), not one time did he tell them they had to have their phone in order to download the Costco app. when I got to the counter he at first tried to sell me the Executive membership which I didn't want, he then got smart with me on how often I was going to shop at the store then basically said I couldn't get a membership unless he was able to download the app to my phone. My phone was going dead so I left it in the car, I told him I didn't have my phone and I didn't need the app, he told me I would have to go get my phone. so I go get my phone, very upset of how I was just treated. When I came back another phone associate name Tammy waited on me, she was so nice and helpful and of course she didn't say one time it was mandatory to download the Costco app. Taryn was rude, mean and should not be working in customer service with his attitude toward brown people. Before you say I'm overreacting, I'm a 60 year old black woman and I know when someone is being prejudice. I will also be calling Costco to report this. Costco is a membership warehouse club. Their motto is they are dedicated to bringing our members the best possible prices on quality brand-name merchandise. They I have to say they do a good job. While Costcos vary a bit due to the location, they usually have the same goods from one Costco to the next. Items have to pass the test before being sold in a Costco and if something stops selling, it's out the door. You can tell if an item is lowered in price and being discontinued if the price ends in a 7. If your favorite items are discontinued, you better stock up because it will be gone soon. The best part of Costco is they have samples so you get to try items before buying. I look forward to trying the samples. I've gotten new favorites that way-and it's like a scavenger hunt going from one department to the next, only tastier! We buy most all our paper products and meat from Costco. We buy enough, it seems to make the membership fee well worth it. Plus, you can't leave Costco without fueling up with gas (best price around) or getting a rotisserie chicken or a hot dog & soft drink! They are the best deals of all! read more

I've been a fan of the bakery goods for years. I'm a muffin fan, especially Blueberry muffins. But we liked everything we got from the bakery area. My wife picked some Blueberry muffins today. I was disappointed that the muffins are now substantially smaller, and no more buy one get one... bummer! I was super disappointed when I ate one this evening. What did they do??? The muffins had a terrible texture, very little taste, reminds me of gluten free / taste free baked goods. These are absolutely terrible. Costco should be ashamed to sell something like this. I see they're the shrinkflation thing, but these baked goods are shameful. We won't be wasting money to purchase this substandard junk. Bakery manager, you need to get on top of this issue quickly. read more

This place is wonderful. It's often very crowded. I find such random stuff here. The prices are comparable with the other big box bulk stores however, for whatever reason it appears to be a bit cleaner and a bit more organized than some of the others. There is plenty of parking although the parking lot is often crowded I have never had a problem getting a spot. They have plenty of carts which is a refreshing change. Saturday mornings are like a buffet in this place, you can essentially eat lunch here if you try all the samples lol. I appreciate the large amount of gluten-free and organic products they have been carrying lately. read more

App at 1pm yesterday for tire rotation under warranty. 2:30 pm someone calls tell me that there is a nail on one of the tires and in a bad place. Ask me to talk w reception. Have to wait 15 min. to be take in. Confirm that I have to have the tire replaced. Coast is pro rated . Bad news again. They do not have the tire in stock. Has to be ordered. Pay $84, pro rated coast. Got the car back ar. 3pm in the same condition that I left 2 hs before. Now, I ha ve to wait for a call that they got the tire , Firestone, and do a new app. for the paied service included when I purchased the tires. Horrible service. No comunication for almost 2 hs, time to detect the problem...any tire shop would tell me 5 min after app...not 2 hs! Firestone is a popular tire that they should have in stock. Spoke with the MOD that tried to convence myself that the waiting time was ok for the " diagnostic". Any kid woul see a nail in my tire after 5 min. What realy was going on was a bad lunch schedule and no one was looking my car for 1 hr and 15 min min., info confirmed with the girl at 2:15 at the reception. All wrong, from the start to the and! Cotsco has to do better! 21 years of membership and was the worst experience comparing to any tire shop in LWR! Now, I have to cancel hotels and wait until I have the tire and rotation & balance done! Losing time and money and MOD was not able to "apologize for the incovenience" . I've always had great experiences shopping at Costco, both in the warehouse and at the food court, so I assumed purchasing four brand-new tires for my Ford Fusion through the Costco Tire Center would be just as smooth. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Shortly after getting my tires replaced, I had a flat and brought my car back in, only to be told that my lug nuts were swelling and needed to be replaced. I asked if I could purchase new lug nuts through Costco, but I was told no and was advised to go to AutoZone instead. When I asked for the size of the lug nuts I needed, I was told they didn't know and had no way of looking it up. A short time later, I got another flat and returned to the Tire Center, where I was again told my lug nuts needed to be replaced. When I asked if they could at least tell me what size to buy, I was initially told they didn't carry them--only to later be informed that they did, but just didn't have them in stock. After leaving, I realized two lug nuts were missing from my tire, so I scheduled another appointment. When I arrived, I asked for the removed lug nuts so I could take them elsewhere to get replacements, but I was met with more confusion. Today (February 20), I called ahead and was told they had lug nuts in stock, but upon arriving, I was again told they did not. When I asked for further clarification, the Tire Center manager, Lewis, told me he was "not a mechanic" and could not assist me. However, after speaking with an employee named Ryan, I found out they did have the lug nuts, and they were finally able to replace the swollen ones on my car. As a mother, driving around with missing lug nuts due to Costco's oversight was both frustrating and unsafe. The lack of clear communication, inconsistent information, and unwillingness to assist customers with even basic questions is unacceptable--especially when I had just spent a significant amount of money purchasing brand-new tires from them. Costco is known for excellent customer service, but my experience with their Tire Center was incredibly disappointing. I hope they improve their training and service because no customer should have to go through this much hassle just to get straightforward assistance. read more

Gas savings of 25cents per gallon is enough to offset the cost of membership at $60 a year. There's plenty of parking, an easy, step-free entrance with separate access to pickup and return desk. Signing up was a 10 minute breeze, with your ID card (needed for everything, including the gas pump) printed on the spot. Biggest surprise- only Visa and debit cards accepted. Cash is handled on a manager register...don't recommend it. They also have their own Citibank Visa with cash back programs from 1-3% As for shopping...lots of higher end goods at steep discounts. Lots of family size household goods and food stuffs, also at steep discounts. Don't expect any brand competition- they tend to carry one brand of any item, sometimes their own Kirkland brand. Fresh veggies and meats, some of which is in quantities requiring a larger family or vacuum sealing at home. Good premium meat and wine selections for carnivores and oenophiles Grabbed a great set of "flat" motion activated under cabinet LED lighting. Our electrician was impressed. Saw the Little Giant Ladder there on sale for$159 - a true bargain! Lots of things like this from TVs to beds. We'll be there periodically. My high schooler went to run some errands for me. Absolutely terrible that she can't use my membership. We should be allowed to have our minor children who live at the same address as the member holder to use the card. Especially when her drivers license matches. And she's use MY credit card for the purchases. What's worse is that they let her in the front door. Let her shop for an hour, then would t check her out. We don't even get a member shop option to upgrade for a family plan. The only option we are given is to buy ANOTHER membership and add her to it. Dumb . Costco do better read more

Ok, so I'm late to the game in joining Costco. I've been wanting a QuickJack portable car lift for nearly 2 years but I didn't want to pay full retail for it. I came across an ad for the exact lift I wanted and it was $300 off at Costco. Hence my reason for joining. Little did I know what I've been missing out on. Wow ! Great deals on Food, household items, cleaning products, vitamins, electronics, gasoline, tires and SO much more. Another reason is that Costco appears to have large quantities of many of the things other stores are having trouble keeping in stock. Paper towels as well as most of the other "hard to get" stuff at this time. Yes, you have to pay a membership fee to go there but the savings are easily worth it. They offer 2 different memberships (that I'm aware of). The more expensive one gives you 2% back on nearly all of your purchases. If you haven't been to a Costco you owe it to yourself to check it out. You will likely (like me) walk around the store in amazement. read more

Also, the workers here are much nicer than the one in Clearwater. For some reason, this place seems less crowded too or maybe it's bigger so it feels less crowded during busy times. In 2024 I bought an LG double oven from the Bradenton, Fl store. I set up delivery. The delivery men brought out my oven, the space was empty & ready for the new oven. There was no outlet to connect plug. There was a holes the back of cabinet but I did not know what it meant. It was a new home for me & I knew I had paid to have the original oven removed but didn't watch the removal. I could not tell the delivery people how to hook it up & they said they would not do electrical work plus the oven was too small to fit correctly. They left oven in my garage. I had measured for new oven but thought I had made a mistake. Hired a carpenter to put wood around edges so oven would fit. carpenter said hole in back cabinet was where cord should go & pulled out drawer below & there was outlet. I had someone else install oven & had to pay to take out the pieces of wood that I had paid to put in!! Since then I bought a dishwasher from Best Buy. Will never have those delivery people in my home again. Costco should be ashamed to hire that delivery company because they're incompetent. read more

I've been shopping at this store for as long as it has been there. This location is managed well, and deals are out of this world, as long as you don't buy more than you can use. When I notice that, I share with family or neighbors or if I can, I freeze it! In any event, the people there are as nice as can be and the lines are long because everyone likes taking advantage of shopping there. I am okay with a little wait given the value of a dollar there! Generally, I'm very happy with Costco products but there is one area that needs attention. I purchased a Mora refrigerator which was a snap and it was scheduled for a delivery to my home. When it arrived it was set up for the door to open from the left side. I told the delivery man that I wanted the door to open from the right side and at first, he said that I'd have to schedule someone to come out and take care of changing the hinge and hardware to the other side. When he opened the frig. and saw the hinge kit pkg. he said that he would take care of the job himself. He proceeded to move the handle and hinge from one side to the other but when he was finished; the interior LEDs in the refrigerator would not come on. My wife and I now had a nice Mora refrigerator with no interior lights. Many service calls were made and eventually, a Mora-selected appliance repair guy was scheduled to come and see what the problem was. When the rep. arrived; it took him 5 min. to find that the delivery guy had not installed the hinge correctly. The bottom line is that delivery people need training to do these hinge changes. Came to this location as it was enroute to where we are staying for the week on Ana Maria Island. Once I found this place online I see it is brand new just opened last Fall 2019. Those who know me know I love Costco. So I ran out of sugar and believe me the 10 lb bag they have is just fine. Also got some window cleaner and mildew remover for us to do a little cleaning once we get back home. Nothing else was needed probably the least amount I spent on any Costco run. Items were exactly the same as our North Miami location which is also new. The beers they had were different was an October fest beer from Sam Adams, and also a local Tampa beer. Hubby was looking for Michelob Light thus minus one star. Before leaving we filled up with gas slightly higher priced than what I paid less than a week ago in North Miami. But still more than $.20 less than any of the other gas stations around. read more

I've been to this Costco a few times now, seeing how I have friends in the area and it was high time to get our bulk on. I'm rating this Costco 4 stars as it is both a clean store and a friendly store. I can't rate it a 5 because it's 90 minutes away from me. Even though I do enjoy visiting my friends and making purchases from this place, I'm not a frequent flier to it, to warrant an amazing star deal. The prices are reasonable for the items. In all my trips in, the deals at the butcher area and the seafood area are on point. Like I said, I'm 90 minutes from this Costco - if I were closer (and owned a grill), I'd definitely be buying some of the fresh items in that corner. My challenge for buying right then and there is... I would seriously have to pack an ice bag to make sure the fish gets to my house without spoiling. BUT, it'd be a big enough piece of ocean life to be a meal for two days (or two people). Same with the field eaters - the beef is priced well and the portions are enough for several dinners. They look worth it. Other things I look at or buy: I get the Kirkland Coconut Water in the 9 one liter container box. Yes, it can be slightly pricey, but overall, it costs me less to get this box of coco-h2o versus a name brand of a smaller size. Also have gotten the 90 pack (or three 30 pack in one box) of Emergen-C. I use one every day. Last few times I was in Costco, it worked out to be a couple dollars less than the stores I buy the 30 box from. I'm not a big raspberry fan, but I'd rather know I have three month's worth in one shot than have to go out and find the flavors I like every month. The vitamins, depending on what you're using, are priced below name brand stores as well. The big name brand vitamins are priced similarly, so be careful and figure out the price per ounce. Some of the vitamins here have extras in them (like Vitamin C with Rose Hip). You have to really look at the package in case you're allergic to something, or in the event you're not a gummy person, you're going to want to be purchasing capsules instead of chewies. That happened to me the last time I went in. I went to pick up a 500 tab bottle and wasn't paying attention until I got halfway down the aisle. Yes, it's 1x daily pill, but it's also a chewy pill. I wasn't looking for a gummy or a chewy. Just a straight capsule. So I ended up putting it back, even though the amount in the bottle would last me the rest of the year and then some, plus the price was decent, pills aren't made to be chewed. This Costco has been the only warehouse that I've seen a certain 4 pack of salmon + risotto in. It's a microwaveable meal and it was amazing. I had seen (and bought) it the first 2 or 3 times I went into the store. But every trip in since, they don't seem to carry it anymore. I don't recall the name of the brand at the moment, but it was in the same aisle as the Asian noodles (Ramen, Udon, etc), cans of tuna and mac n cheese. This salmon risotto meal was filling for a decently sized small container. There was a big piece of salmon in the bowl and flaked apart when hot. It was definitely worth the cost but sadly, it's not a part of the Costco inventory anymore. When I purchased the item, it was an easy lunch for work. I'll continue going back to this Costco for as long as I visit friends in the area. Weekends are busy, but you never know what you'll snatch up if you go with a partial list. On top of that she had the nerve to yank my cart, like she bought the cart. Even after I tried telling her to hold on. She then let more than 10 people walk without checking the Costco card. Galena is the rudest Costco employee I have ever encountered in all my years going to Costco. 6/11 She screamed at me for not showing my membership card to her as I went to member services (you don't need to show your card to go in that door when you make a return or go to the food court) I reported her. I came back to shop on 7/10, she was at the door- I confronted her and explained how her behavior was uncalled for an she owed me an apology, she laughed, dismissed me, told me I was rude and argued with me and then moved onto the next customer. I turned around and returned all $300 items I just bought. Desmond- he's unfriendly, rude, horrible demeanor and I've never seen someone inspect an unopened box of crackers for 60 seconds in my life. He's declined to a return a couple things, when Costco has the best return policy ever and they were unopened! Tim- my mother has a service animal. This is the ONLY business in Florida that questions your disability and ask questions that violate HIPPA and are none of their business. They should be fined for this. read more

This is the second time we encounter this unpleasant shopping experience at Costco at 805 Lighthouse Drive. Our whole house still has the aroma of the bad Chilean sea bass we purchased on August 12. I took it out of the package and I was going to marinate last night. The smell was so bad from the opening the fish wrapping up that my husband in another room immediately said "What is that horrific stench?" I just took back some bad halibut bought on June 21. The lamb was not fresh either from that purchase time, but I did not bother to ask for refund. The manager who dealt with it accused me that I did not use a cooler which is the reason caused the stuff I bought had gone bad. I totally disagree with him. I always use thermal bags in an air-conditioned cool car for a short less than a 20 minutes drive to my house. Other foods bought at the same time, including salmon, did not have any issues. Actually salmon is one of my "go-to" items from Costco. Instead of blaming me, perhaps you should review your procedures for keeping fresh from the producer, trucking, and storage at your facilities. Even the producer can be at fault. Not little 'o me. We have been loyal members of Costco over 10 years and we don't deserve this. I get most of my groceries from Costco because I trusted the quality you offered. It really discourages me after these last two times of having the bad shopping experience.
