The dairy product, fruits and meat are fresh, but, if you go in the evening, they are most probably out of raspberry, strawberry and blueberry. Was my first time at this location and the parking lot was packed first of all and some person tried to take the spot I was trying to park in when I was waiting for it first and they flashed their parking permit for the spot like hello I have a permit too and I was waiting first. Prices are a bit expensive though I only go to Costco for certain items I get in bulk, but over all clean and lines went by at the cash pretty fast. read more

I am a Costco Addict. Not only do I shop at Costco on an almost weekly basis, but I like to go to different Costco locations to see how they compare. I was excited to get to go to a Canadian Costco on our recent vacation. This is a pretty standard Costco. It's on the large size, but the staff weren't particularly friendly. (Maybe it's an American thing for Costco employees to be really happy because they have better benefits than a lot of other places). The biggest difference I noticed here is that the dairy section was filled with bags of milk. I learned that's how Canadians buy milk, but it still greatly amused me to see a room filled with milk bags. This store is right off the expressway and super easy to find. The food court is laid out cafeteria style. You get a tray and ask for items, then pay at the end. Their pizza is different than in the US. It's too bland for me. They had a Montreal beef sandwich which was unique, but I didn't try it. read more

This review is about Costco Optical. I was long overdue for new eyeglasses. I rarely get excited about new glasses, because I've been wearing them long enough that they start to look all the same, but we were heading to Costco, so we stopped by the optical department. First, I had to return a pair of frames that my daughter picked out. Then, looking through the wall of frames, I wasn't having any luck finding a pair I liked (because, as I said, I don't get too excited about glasses anymore). A Costco optical centre employee stopped by and asked if I needed help. I said I was just browsing for frames, and she began to help me - suggesting frames and offering her opinion. When you're choosing eyeglasses, it's helpful to have a stranger's opinion. She noted that the frameless pair I picked up wouldn't look good with my heavy prescription, and also paid attention to colour and the "sweep" of the upper frames. Jennifer picked out a pair of purple and blue frames for me to try and I really liked them. They not only fit well, but the colours were fun. (It turned out that the frames were the same ones I'd returned, but in better colours.) She was careful when she took down my eye measurements and recorded all my information in the system, and also made sure I got the sale discount. I confess: I'm actually excited to get my new glasses. When I picked them up, not only was I happy with my new frames, but the lenses were perfect. In the end, I have two pairs of glasses on the way, for a much lower price than I'd have paid elsewhere (nearly half of what I'd been quoted at a "3 for 1" place). read more

I was at a nearby park and I needed to get a couple of things, so in I went. This is a Costco. There are many like it, but this is the one in Burlington. It is identical to any other Costco you would encounter in North America, although this one was particularly busy on a Sunday morning, and it's parking lot is fairly small. The reviews people give Costco are ridiculous it's a BULK warehouse where you are expected to purchase things in BULK however when you do the prices you get are great. There are other benefits to shopping here that many people don't realize such as the Dog Food being above average and rather cheap for 15.9 KG of food or the fact that Costco extends all television warranties to 2 years if the manufacturer doesn't provide it for a minimum of 2 years and up to a maximum of 5 years for $29.99 to $99.99 depending on the cost of the TV. There are also free samples everywhere which is great if you're looking for ideas for dinner or snacks which are common samples within this location. In addition to all of this Costco serves average food for below average costs allowing you to shop and then eat cheaply after you've worked up your appetite by walking around the rather large store. Costco is good for select things, if you don't need those things you probably shouldn't fork over the money for a membership unless your employer gets deals on membership costs like many of the places in Burlington do. read more

My wife and l love going to Costco, but only once a while as it is quite far from us. We usually spent few hundred $ each time we go. Today, we spent $506.57, Aut#04557J. The staff are usually good, except today we had a men cashier who was very impatient, rude, abrupt, and overall very bad attitude. We were the only ones in the line, yet he seemed angry, maybe because we were disturbing his conversation with the female packer. We are not regulars and still confused with the procedures of cart one side and move to other side after, unlike in other super markets. Being seniors, we appreciate being instructed gently, and not to be told off in a harsh tone like little kids. I ignored him at first, but had to teach him the word "please", and then had to give him a piece of my mind when he was rude to my wife too. This is the first time we encountered such horrible and poor attitude from a #Costco staff. We still love @Costco though and will not allow this bad apple to spoil anything for us. read more

This review is for the Tire Centre. I have never had such terrible service getting tires before. I understand that it's very busy during the winter season so you can expect a bit of a hassle when buying new winter tires and having them installed. However, I've never been to a garage that refused my request to not mount rims onto my car. All I wanted was my tires to be mounted to my winter rims and I would mount the rims onto my car myself on my own time. So I gave in to their strange demands, they then tell me that my car will ready around 3-4 pm and they will call me so I know when to go. They didn't. I called them four times later that night with no answer, I was pissed because they prevented me from getting to work that night. I called them this morning (took three phone calls for them to pick up) I asked if my car was ready and pointed out that they never called and didn't pick up their phones, to which they reply with a snarky attitude "we wouldn't take someone's car in unless we knew it would be done, your car is sitting here." I asked why they didn't call me again, she ignored my question with "Your car is ready, come and pick it up when you can. Bye now." Never dealing with them again, they can't answer a phone, make claims they don't follow through with and over all just make things way harder than they have to be. Going to active green next time I need new tires, they make appointments(instead of walk-ins like costco), answer their phones, and have never failed to call me. read more

Love coming to this location more than the 2 in Mississauga. It's always easier to find parking as well as the line ups are never as long. Staff is friendly and I have never had any problems with their products. Purchased a mattress and had to return it no questions asked. The guys at the tire centre are also very good. read more

I purchased a Acer Cell phone at the Burlington Store, just prior to leaving for Florida for the winter. The cell phone malfunctioned in late December for reasons unknown. I contacted the Burlington store and spoke with a Supervisor there to find out what I should do as there is only a 90 day warranty on cell phones and I wouldn't be back home until April and the warranty would have elapsed by then. The Supervisor told me to take it to the Costco store in Braden, explain it to them and I would get a full refund. If I had any trouble they were to call the Supervisor in Burlington and she would explain it to them in full. I didn't and got a full refund. I guess I'd have to say that every Costco has it's own identity. This one here in Burlington, is average sized, there are some good deals, and of course they are always usually bulk deals. Parking is kinda crazy, and so is in-store traffic (i.e. in-store bumper cart wars!) Food courts okay, I'd have to say though they're pizza or sandwiches are sub-par; they're usually always burnt!
