I imagine this place gets incredibly crowded but in comparison to the actual Costco parking lot I think they have done the best they can utilizing the space here. We had about a 5 minute wait to get gas at 12:40 or so on a weekday afternoon, so take this review with a gran of salt if you are thinking of stopping here on a busy weekend. The lines were well formed and I love that they have an electronic sign showing where the open pumps are for the people waiting. It really streamlines the process. The pumps are also long enough that you can reach around to the other side of your vehicle if you happen to pull in on the wrong side. Most importantly for me though, gas was almost a dollar cheaper per gallon than it is near my home and almost 40 cents cheaper than neighboring stations which is a huge deal in this economy. I love this Costco gas station for two main reasons, 1) great prices and 2) very close to our house. The staff is very friendly, I like showing up when it's almost closing time to fuel with no wait. The staff member that is always there to close is so nice, always waving with a smile. If you end up fueling up and it's packed, it still only takes like 10 minutes to wait. This always seems to be the cheapest Costco gas the area. It's usually more than 25 cents less than Richmond, San Leandro, and Danville Costco gas. There are about 10 lanes with 3 pumps in each lane. Don't really have to wait too long especially if you're already past the point where you're waiting in each individual line. Last month I purchased gasoline and the receipt did not print. I pulled out and went to the booth to request a receipt, however, no one was in the booth. The door was ajar and no one was inside. I waited about 5 minutes and I found an employee meandering around the pumps. I approached him and explained what happened and he said I should have stayed at the pump. No way was I going to do that and have the masses be mad at me! This happened to me once before where the receipt did not print out and the employee in the booth took down my email address and emailed me the receipt. This employee "Jose" (I think his name is Jose because he had the first letter of his name tag covered with tape) said I could not park by the booth and that I had to go inside the store to get a receipt. He was so incredibility rude that he infuriated me. As I was pulling out, I caught him taking a photo of me and my car. I confronted him about it and he originally denied taking a photo and then said he took a photo to show management how I was illegally parked. I went inside the store and spoke with the Assistant Manager Ashee, who confirmed there was no problem with me parking by the booth, that the employee should not be hiding his name and that he should not have taken a photo. He also should not have directed me into the store because the system cannot pull up the receipt until the next day. I demanded that the employee's phone be looked at and that the photo of my car and myself be deleted. Ashee told me to come back to the store the following day and she would give me an update and the receipt. I went back as she directed and she was not working nor was she scheduled to work the next day. I will not longer purchase gasoline from Costco (like they even care) but I do not safe with this rogue employee in possession of my likeness and my license plate. Having been a member since the Price Club days, this was the worst experience I have ever had at a Costco. read more

Costco gas is always a great deal! Gasoline is pretty expensive in the Bay Area, but Costco gas offers quality gasoline with a tiny wholesale price tag. Yes, the lines are usually long, but this provides you with the opportunity to practice patience. You don't have to worry about going into the correct lane because all the pumps have extra long gas lines so you can stretch the gas line out to the opposite side of your car and it isn't so difficult to use it on the opposite side either! You really can't go wrong with the gas here. The lines before the pandemic were ridiculous and I dreaded waiting in long lines. But now it's much more bearable and goes quick. I like this gas station because it has over 20 pumps available and their prices are usually around $.20 cents cheaper than other gas stations. Because of all the pumps available, wait time isn't too bad. I also like that they have indicators while waiting to let you know if a pump is free. read more

Costco Gas- First thing, it's a great price. The lines are massive on the weekend, but they move. They are putting in a 3rd bank of pumps behind the other one so it will be interesting to see if people can maneuver around them. It's a great plan to get people to moving if they can park. I know now that sometimes you can't get around someone because they park over the line and have a large vehicle. The gas stations next door is about the same price. My guess is some Costco members go there because they don't want to wait in the line. I wonder if the line speeds up all of those people will come over. It would be nice if they could expand the area so it's not so congested getting into the gas area. People really zip around the parking lot. read more

I only come here if I'm shopping at Costco. Yes, the gas is cheaper than most gas stations but the lines are still long. However, since they put in more gas pumps, the lines are not as long. Arco next door has cheap gas too. They recently removed all the trash cans near the fuel pumps. So strange. I get that they don't have window squeegees since everyone is here for just gas and no one wants anyone holding up the line to wash their windows. But no trash cans? read more

There is always a line regardless of what day of the week or time of the day you come. I've come late at night, early Saturday morning, even mid-day mid-week, but I always get stuck in a long line. Most of the time it's no big deal to wait in the long lines, but when my son gets fussy there is no way he would be able to sit still while we wait. Prices are of course the cheapest you'll find, but sometimes saving an extra 20 cents on the gallon isn't worth the time. However, if I'm in the area or going inside Costco, I'll be sure to stop by to pick up cheap gas. read more

I need diesel for the Mercedes Benz so naturally, Concord Costco is the place to go for low prices. Vallejo Costco is cheaper, but doesn't have diesel. Problem is, I've seen customers exchange words with each other, cut each other off, etc. Doesn't happen a lot, but really, people? Would it hurt you to just grow the hell up? Shhhh...please don't tell my father that I fill up my car at the Costco Gas Station.* He worked for a large gasoline company for for-ev-er. I was loyal to said company until he retired a couple years ago and we no longer get the employee and family discount. (You would think after ~40 years, they'd just keep that discount going but no such luck.) If we didn't live so close to Costco, I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but since we do live close, I stop by first thing in the morning on my way to work and am in and out quickly. There is usually no wait at that hour. It is slightly cheaper than the other gas stations in the area and those few pennies on the gallon definitely add up. *My father doesn't read my yelp reviews yet. Usually when a gas station has the cheapest prices in the area, they always have a gimmick of setting their cheaper prices as cash or debit only..; but NOT Costco! This particular Costco location has always been one of the cheapest gas stations in the Bay Area, and it has been like that for years! I use to get my gas occasionally at the Safeway gas stations, but as of May 2013, they now started to charge more if you decide to pay by a credit card. I guess that's the direction that businesses are going at, but I give a lot of props & kudos to Costco for not doing that. This location was revolutionary when they first opened, as they were the only gas station to accept credit cards only. With 16 pumps and people only being able to use credit cards, they really speed up their customers. The only problem is that they are always crowded! If you come here during their peak hours, it can take up to 30 minutes before you can get your gas. The best time to come here is early in the morning or before they close; so I usually get my gas here before I go to work around 6:45am. At that time, there is always an available pump for me to drive straight up to. Over the years, I've really learned to appreciate this gas station, as their gas does gives me good gas mileage and they are always one of the cheapest price around. The only issues are that the wait can be long and they only accept American Express cards. If you have an AMEX card and the ability to come here early or late.., this is the best gas station to go to! read more

I am definitely impressed by this Costco gas station. I like that there's three pumps in a row instead of two. Even though it might look busy, due to the number of pumps, the line moves faster than I expected. My all time favorite Costco gas station is Woodland, CA or Lodi, CA. This is up there but it's not as nice as the Woodland or Lodi one. You can never beat the Costco gas price though. It's definitely worth it if you're in the neighborhood. It can be a little tricky getting into the lot, but it's not too bad. read more
