I did not want to have the wording printed directly on the artwork, as the artwork would also serve as the background for the birth announcements of our future children. After searching for companies that could both scan and print (in high quality) I decided to use Baboo. I was not disappointed. They are located in an unassuming store front on West 20th street. The staff was kind and explained the process they use to ensure the safety of the artwork when scanning. I was able to choose from a decent selection of paper but they also have metal and plexi print options. Once the piece was scanned I received a DVD with the artwork. I was so happy with the scan. I then used Adobe Illustrator to add the wording, saved the file, uploaded it to a jump drive and brought it over to Baboo. I chose a nice thick stock, since the artwork was watercolor i wanted the final print to look as original as possible. A few days later i went to pick up the print. Boy was i surprised, the piece looked just like the original, the scan captured every swish and the printer they used created a final product that looked like it was hand painted all over again. I believed Gary understood what we wanted. We weren't into too many "posed" shots and wanted more candid photos. Also, we were taking our pictures before the ceremony so I would be seeing my husband for the first time dressed as man and wife. Gary promised me it would be a special moment where it would just be us for the big "reveal." This did not happen at all as I stepped off the bus and there he was with everyone else (bridesmaids and grooms). I could overlook that because of the excitement of the wedding day. After the wedding I received my proofs and I was underwhelmed. There were hardly any candid shots and the ones there were, were not very impressive. The family shots were terrible. The sun was glaring in our faces for many of the shots and they looked awful! It was difficult for us to find a decent picture we could agree upon for the thank you's but we chose one because we had to. Once it came time to the album, it was incredibly difficult to choose pics we liked. Granted it took us quite a long time to choose pics we liked for the album but this should not effect us getting what we PAID FOR in full!!! Communicating with Gary was impossible. I would email him asking him to show us what he had so far and he would take forever to get back to us. I have EVERY email we have sent to one another so I have proof. I have never seen and album or video from Gary and it is almost 7 years now! I paid for all albums and video yet I've seen NOTHING! My husband and I are no longer together so you may ask why I would even care to have the albums and video....my Ex husband's father along with three of his aunts have passed away. The wedding video contains a dance between my ex mother in law and ex father in law to their wedding song. My ex mother in law deserves to have this video showcasing a beautiful moment between her and her late husband...not to mention being able to see her late sisters as well. By the way I mentioned this to Gary Leli, and he did not care. He has no heart and all he had to say was I took too long to select my pictures. I tried reporting him to the better business bureau as well as having a lawyer send him a letter and nothing came of it. He sits pretty while ruining the lives of others and it's disgusting. Not only should I receive my albums and video, but I should also get my money back. Stay away from this man! He's as low and heartless as they get!!
