Costco is Costco I feel, but customer service is still customer service and thats what they dont seem to have when issues pop up. To start I added my mom onto my account. Who would have known that adding someone was such a fuss? They gave my mom a piece of paper and said it was her temporary membership because the photo machine wasnt working. The same day when she checked out they wouldnt even honor the piece of paper because it was only good for today and apparently that means it was already expired? The supervisor had to come and look at it and it was a mess. Cutting it short we got through the checkout line. My mom wanted a churro. Bailey who took our 1 churro order was friendly. Until we waited over an hour for a churro. I kept asking her what the deal was and she just kept saying "Well they are done they just need to be handed out". It takes an hour to hand out a churro thats already done? Everyone else recieved their hot dog, pizza or ice cream way before I even recieved a churro and I was before them? We went back up to customer service area where my mom was supposed to recieve her card. Diane was nice but she really didnt know how to work anything and seemed to struggle since the time me and my mom arrived, got groceries a churro and still didnt have my moms membership ID ready. Total of 4 hours. Walking out at the door we advised Tracy of our poor service. She seemed to not even care. Not even willing to get a manager or anything. Her reply to our concerns were just "Oh really? Aw Im sorry that cant be here at OUR Costco". Well it was at your Costco Tracy. I was trying to get the advertised Southwest gift card. I kept getting emails about it. So I went to the store and was told it is only available online. I am buying this for a gift for my Dad. So I went online to purchase. Received an email stating my order was placed shortly after I received a cancellation email. I called customer service after 30 minutes on the phone was told the hold on my account would be lifted in 3-5 days and then I need to go to the store and purchase from them online while at the store so they can verify my purchase. My email, address are all on file with my card. No sure why this is so difficult now hopefully the special Won't end by the time I can get back to the store. :( I think I might switch to Sam's they had the card in store much easier to give as a gift. I have had my membership for 12 years, now that I have Sam's for 1 year might be time to only have one. read more

I always go to Costco to shop and have loved it but this one is terrible!! I found a very nice mattress and bed frame for only $600, however, the deal was only online so i had a supervisor help my family and i order it. I was asking him questions like if they'd bring it up to the room and if they'd contact us when it was coming. THEY DID NEITHER! We were never informed when it would be delivered. They left it all outside and when we called they told us that they can't bring it upstairs and that Fed Ex was the one who delivered it. They never told us Fed Ex would be the one delivering it. I'm never buying or ordering anything from here ever again. Their food court workers are also very rude. Go somewhere else if you want good service. read more

Costco makes it very easy to eat organic foods at reasonable prices. They sell many staples in our organic diet. We buy our bread, rice, spinach, eggs & juice here. We absolutely love Soyaki, it makes any meal even more delicious and the price is amazing at Costco! Beware of the pretzel rolls, they are addicting. read more

I have a (pathetic) habit of visiting Costcos in every city I visit to see what regional goodies they offer. This is my 'home' Costco. It's a little like Cheers - I know most/all of the employees by name and/or sight, and I'm such a Costco fixture that many of them know me. And the team here is a helpful one. I know the layout of the store and can easily spot new items as they arrive. So I moved to AZ from Texas. Been a Sam's club member before in TX. So when I moved everyone in my office were members at Costco. So let me check it out... I love Costco - bought the membership w/ money spent rewards after a year. What I loved by the Customer Service Rep you can cancel your membership if you don't like it & we refund you! Well that had confidence written all over it!!! Since then I have bought membership gift cards for my friends back in TX. I love visiting to see what new deals I am get & learn about new products. The employees seem to be very nice here. I even had to do exchanges & or returns & didn't have to have the receipt. They have it all logged on your membership! Cool right? I hate to admit that some of the returns were not repackaged the same as I bought. Again no sweat / comments or rolled eyes. Just done!!! I will be a Costco member for awhile..... read more

I come here for a lot of shopping from groceries to books, to household items, even gas. I love Costco and my family does too! You buy things in bulk and they are cheaper because they are in bulk. And I love that they don't use plastic bags for your groceries and instead they recycle the boxes they used from when the shipments came, so I find that to be Earth friendly and cool. They have on site food, frozen yogurt, and drinks with a place to eat. The kids love it and I'm such sucker for their frozen yogurt berry sundae. It's so cheap and so delicious and so is their pizza!!!! The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because every time I go the lines are always insanely long. Doesn't really seem to matter what time of day you go, they are busy and have long lines that stretch into the aisle which is great for them because it means their business is booming. But it would be nice if they had a couple of cashiers that could run to help with check out service to get the line crushed down. And I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 also because they seem to pick and choose when they want to card you at the door, it's really weird. I can watch some people walk in ahead of me and not flash their cards at all and I'll be right behind them and I get chased down to check to see if I'm a member. It's annoying but it's not going to stop me from going there for their yummy food and amazing discounted prices. I'm a fan, yay! read more

Don't try to buy pizza without a card. They will chase you down and make a scene. Me and my 12 yo son came in here to get a slice of pizza. Me and him came in the exit door to get some pizza and the woman at the exit literally repeatedly yelled at us as we walked to place our pizza order. We were followed half way into the store before I realized she was yelling at us. She was making wild hand gestures and actually hit another customer in the face as the customer was walking by. I told her that I didn't have a card and she said we couldn't get pizza (even though I have previously purchased pizza without a card). I asked to talk with someone else and the person at the return counter also said we need a card to buy pizza (even though the card is not actually needed to buy pizza). 100% not buying a Costco membership after this experience. Always fast check out, they have a good selection. Good: Professional Check out, Cheap gas. Meats are top quality. Good selection. I have been to other Costcos and this one does not have many samples. I wont buy bulk items that I can not try first. Also, they need more Kirkland golf balls. read more

Excellent strong English cheddar "Coastal" Highly recommend it. Great place for bulk buys of items you use a lot provided you are familiar with prices - Johnsonville brats for example are an excellent price in large packs, just seperate and freeze. This location is closest to my house and I do go there for gas occasionally but I find it is only okay. The selection and customer service levels of this club are just okay. It's not bad but it's just not iconic. It is amazing to me how each Costco really does have it's own vibe. I mean this club is usually busy but I just don't find the same selection or level of customer service I find at the Beardsley location. It's not bad it's not terrific it just is. Always very busy but any good place is going to be busy. They always have great prices on bulk items. Granted not everything in life is needed in bulk, but you pick and choose. My the fact that you can get decent quality clothes for a cheap price is nice as well. They aren't Calvin Klein but who cares if you're going inexpensive. (But not bargain bin) The business and employees have always been great to me, just be careful of the other shoppers. A week ago, while I was on my way to work, the "low fuel" light on my car turned on. So, I decided to go to Costco to fill up. Got there, filled up, hopped back in my car, and it wouldn't start. It was dead. D.E.A.D. dead. :( The attendant was awesome. He quickly ran over and helped me push by behemoth of an SUV out of the way, so as not to block the pumps. He even asked if I needed to call someone for help. I really admire the caliber of employees Costco hires. The reason I only give 4 stars is that the location is terrible. Costco Tire - Won't honor Warranty I bought 4 tires just over 2 years ago at Costco on Beardsley. My oil change place said the back ones were almost completely shot, so I went to Costco to get replacements with the pro-rated warranty. Tire warranty was for 60K miles, had only about 25K driven on them total. The guys there looked and gave me a runaround story that my suspension must be bad (2013 Hyundai sedan in great shape) and the wear was not normal so they wouldn't honor the warranty. I am PO'd to the roof! I used to have excellent return/replacement service with Costco products, but my laptop is terrible (I didn't realize there was only a 90 day return policy on it, or I would have returned it as well), and now my tires that gave me less than 1/2 life. Is it just me, or have other people noticed Costco is becoming terrible at customer service, especially in the pricier items? read more

So the time is 2:16 PM on Wednesday November 6th. I am here eating great pizza but having second thoughts about attending this specific location. Not saying a word as I grab it he looks at me and finally says, " I'm not going to say anything to you because I know you're not going to buy it. " I looked at him with utter disappointment. But he did sell me on that bread because for one, it was great bread. But 2nd? His salesman ship sold me . What kind of sampler comes at a customer like that. This review is for the optometrist which is individually owned but it doesn't look like they have their own page. This place was amazing and way past my expectations! My last optometrist was at walmart and I had a very unpleasant experience. After visiting their office a few times, I spent the last year with a uncomfortable prescription and unable to wear my contacts. I was frustrated and thought I'd never had normal sight again. Today was when I saw Dr. Streff, I explained to her my malcontent with my last doctor. She went above and beyond to make sure I did not experience the same issue at this practice. My prescription is very tricky and took her a while to pinpoint, but while I was becoming frustrated, she was calm and dedicated to perfecting my lenses. Walking out of the office with the best eyesight I've had in years almost brought me to tears. I can't begin to explain how happy I am to be able to see again, and it's all thanks to Dr. Streff! read more

COSTCO OPTICAL Horrible customer service! I'd give a ZERO if it were available. Went in for appointment at the 27th Ave. location, (which I scheduled over a month ago) and was told that the doctor with whom I'd made the appointment is no longer working at this location. No one called to tell me I needed to reschedule. I was told I would have to wait for over a month for an appointment. No I'm sorry, no empathy. Customers went in while I waited for an explanation. After asking several times, I was told by the receptionist that she had "glasses she had to clean" and I should just make a phone call to schedule another appointment. Rude attitude by the doctor and receptionist. This is a horrible reflection on Costco's normally excellent customer service. read more

This pharmacy location is a total joke. My son had an ear infection and his doctor called in the prescription at 11am. I go to pick it up and they cannot find his prescription ready for pick up. Another guy looks it up in the computer and asks if a doctor called it in which I tell him yes. He says he only has one bottle of the medication left and that it will be 2 hours before it's ready and that they will call. I wait and no phone call, so I go in 15 mins before the pharmacy closes at 7 and it's STILL NOT READY!!! Worst customer service by Costco pharmacy. So if I would have waited for this "so called" phone call I was supposed to get, the pharmacy would've closed, all the employees would've gone home without a care and my son wouldn't have his medication. read more

I just love Costco. Despite the parking lot being full and the place packed the checkouts move very quickly and efficiently. The optical department has great prices but the customer service there isn't quite what I've experienced at other locations. In fact, the best I've experienced was Mobile, AL who I actually brought into a customer service experience at this Phoenix location. I really shouldn't have had to do that but I'm glad I did. This is my favorite Costco near me. Usually clean and organized quite well. I wish they did more sales like I saw in Utah. The staff here are friendly and I do enjoy the samples. I especially like to tell each demo person "Thank you", as I'm sure they don't hear it enough. It's hard sometimes to walk away from their sales pitching. The food service up front is really fast and the taste is good. I'd say my most favorite part of Costco is the very meat packed rotisserie chicken. Grocery stores can't come close to Costco. Costco always seems to please. We enjoy visiting them all around the country. This particular location is larger than some with a large variety of food options. They have specialty alcohol for purchase in a viewing case with prices up to $1500. They also have large gun safes and smaller quick release safes for handguns great for under the desk or attached to a night stand. The location is always busy but well kept. The people are great and they really make you feel welcome! read more

Recently I started going to this Costco when the Business Center stopped selling cigarettes for personal consumption and left this as the only Costco in the West valley that sells cigarettes. I don't like the layout as well as Arrowhead and because it is out of the way for me I quite often end up going here during busy times instead of weekday evenings when things are a bit quieter. I just stopped by the morning before Thanksgiving and the place looked like a Saturday afternoon 10 minutes after opening. And the system for cigarettes places a burden on the rest of the customers who do not smoke by making the entire line wait for somebody to go get the cigarettes. I'll still keep coming to this one when I need to but I will go to Arrowhead for restocking stuff in the pantry, like the Langers OJ which this location did not have when I looked for it. read more

She chose to help her peer go get scissors and leave me hanging while in the middle of my transaction, and then goes on to scold me on how I should have stood in the members isle to get a temporary card instead of the returns.
