I would like to share some concerns about my experiences in the optical department. On several occasions, my interactions with Rochelle have felt unhelpful and, many times, passive-aggressive. I've left multiple conversations feeling frustrated, discouraged, and without the information I needed to make informed decisions. In my most recent visit, I explained to Rochelle that my husband had purchased my glasses as a Christmas gift and that I wasn't completely sure if they were bought at Costco, but it was very likely. Earlier that day, I had called and spoken with someone in the optical department who advised me that there were options available either they could look up proof of purchase through my membership or I could pay a fee to have my prescription added to my current eyewear. When I came in later that evening, Rochelle was the only person available. After I explained the situation, her response was extremely rude and implied I was lying. When I asked what my options were, I was told that I did not have any. I shared that I had already spoken with someone earlier and did not appreciate feeling like information was being withheld. I then asked to speak with a manager. A young man that was manager came over shortly after, he said he was unsure how to handle the situation. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and defeated, and decided to leave. Because this has happened more than once with Rochelle, I've started to feel uncomfortable seeking services there, as I worry about having another negative interactions. I value clear, respectful communication and would really appreciate a more supportive and consistent experience moving forward. The store overall is a good experience definitely room for improvement in customer service all around with workers and improvement on better quality items. read more

He was so patient with me, and gave me his card so I could ask for help if I needed it after I left the store. You know I used that and he continued to help me until I was all set up. I changed from Verizon to T-Mobile, for phone and internet. I'm saving a lot of money and will also receive the current promotion is $450 in costco gift cards (after 90 days with T-mobile) I love saving money. I hooked the internet up with the Mesh system, I am astounded how fast the service is. I live in an area where sometimes it has been difficult getting good cell service. Does not have signage and no direction for self check out. Lots of people and crowded so having this is very important. Staff lets people know late that they need to move by the time they say something a whole other line is already forming. It frustrates customers and makes the process so much more unnecessary and complicated. I used to love Costco. Now I'm more ambivalent. It's a good place to shop for bulk basics, and it is the only place I shop for groceries, cat food, etc. But here's the thing. Costco used to be all about the treasure hunt, about finding what's new? What's different?! And lately? It's the same old stuff. SOS. Over and over and over and over. I also hate their coupons. It never fails. I buy something, and the next week it's $10 off. That ticks me off. Costco used to be the best place to go for a fair price, every day. And now? Shout out to Karl in the optical dept. We go here for all our glasses. Karl has always been super helpful and very nice but yesterday he did the impossible. He resurrected a pair of expensive Oakley reading glasses that I either stepped on or drove over. Unbelievable. It was dark and rainy and they fell out of my pocket. Always impressed with excellent customer service and products at Costco. Thank you to the management at Bonney Lake's Costco and Optical department. 10 stars for coming through for me. Long story short, I took my glasses in for a new prescription, and wanted to keep my AirDrop Oakley frames. Unfortunately the frames broke while removing the old lenses, but they were able to locate my frames, which they don't carry. Thankfully I got the frames I love, and my new prescription within a couple weeks. Personal thanks to Carl, Rita, and the assistant GM Steve I believe for making this work. When you live in a frontier town, that's correct frontier and not rural, it is worth the hour plus drive to get there and do your shopping. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5, is because Montana has stupid liquor laws and so Costco cannot sell hard liquor. So, we miss out on all of Kirkland Signature Brand products. read more

I am a Costco junkie and there are only 2 of us. Costco has its operation running like a well oiled machine. I cannot resist pushing my cart through a treasure hunt of the entire store. I have to go often to Costco for my Costco fix. I have never been to such a well run store, making shopping a fantastic experience every time. This costco is extremely unpleasant it's all crowded and has rude customer service with the amount of chaos going on. -lines being so packed the cashiers are being all rude rushing everyone -throwing and shoving groceries in carts and boxes -rushing customers to hurry up and move in line -the people watching the line to assist customers take the smallest lines rushing customers to take their spot in line -rushing people at the self checkout and immediately coming to them if they're not going fast enough They want customers out of here ASAP. Then if you want to stop and sit down to have a pizza, the seating is small, I mean you go in here and you get through a long line of customers, good luck finding seating here, and good luck not being around any kids coughing and spreading their germs around. I've already been to this costco once and I won't be coming back here, they're going to rush a 60 year old man like me through their lines and put me on these machines that constantly have errors and work like junk, then be all rude when I can't figure out their system, that ain't right, I don't think i'm coming to costco anymore. after this last experience and my costco tire center experience at this location i'll be canceling my membership because I hardly use it because of how terrible this costco is and I don't normally shop at a costco anyway. Never had an issue here and the service has always been awesome. Every once in a while I come to browse and see what's new at Costco. I might have a few samples while I browse. I'll be honest through. There is 1 primary reason I shop here. The rest are secondary reasons. The pizza. Judgement free zone. Yes this is a monster slice and yes I read somewhere that this is a 750 calorie slice. I don't care. It's so good and costs little to nothing to buy at the awesome kiosk. Actually. I'm craving one now as I write this. A whole pizza is like $10. Cannot go wrong. So sooooo good. My one complaint. It doesn't reheat well. But that's not a problem if you crush it when you get it. Also. For some reason. The slices from buying a whole pizza and the slices from buying by the slice tastes somewhat different. I don't know what it is. I just feel a taste difference. While I don't have a preference because it taste awesome regardless. I will buy a whole pizza and a slice and taste test. The people are rude, Cashier named Cassidy is always rushing through the line, she was literally throwing all my groceries really hard to the end of the counter, which I really didn't appreciate, I politely asked her not to throw my groceries at the end of the counter, she seemed very annoyed and gave me a dirty look. Then I went to the food court to order a slice of pizza, but the food court area looked filthy and there was a huge line so I decided to pass. I wouldn't recommend the food court either. Well I love Costco but this Costco has horrible training or something. My mom went to this Costco a few weeks ago and had paid for 1 bag of chocolate. She had proceeded to use the bathroom after check out and then was stopped in the woman's restroom WITH HER RECEIPT in her hand, as if she was stealing a $14 dollar a bag of chocolate. The girl didn't apologize either when she realized my mom wasn't stealing and seriously a bag of chocolate lol? How bout making better use of your time. Then I came here and had used self check out and my dad was in the back of the store, the young man with glasses was extremely rude to me when asking for my member ship over two items that cost less than 20 dollars. He said "I need to check your ID" as if I didn't look like I belong to shop there then was condescending and explained how the membership works like a netflix membership like I have to get my own even though my dad was there shopping as well. Horrible horrible HORRRIBLE customer service and staff training here. Make better use of your time and treat customers better. read more

Management and the the entire staff clearly needs to be trained on customer service and professionalism. Just bad business and disrespect with no regards to consumers that just need basic essentials especially during this pandemic, no compassion whatsoever. I was in there and stood there listening to an employee and manager making aggressive and threatening comments to a customer. Instead of maintaining professionalism, and politely ask the customer whatever it was they were trying to solve, they came across as being demanding and aggressive which in any case will escalate an issue that just didn't need to go there. For the most part I think this is the best Costco around. I wish they carried hash-brown patty's, it seems produce is hit and miss and goes bad fast. So I went by early in the morning to pick up a prescription. It was their special "senior citizen hour." I'm not a senior citizen (I'm only 40) and wouldn't even consider taking away any shopping time from senior citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. All I wanted to do was pick up a prescription. I was hoping that they could make an exception for just that. Nope. Been in severe pain for two days - they didn't care. So I had to wait for them to allow the general public in, only to find out that even though they had a full 35 to 40 minutes to fill the prescription it still wasn't ready and it would still be another 40 minutes. I decided to go home and come back later (I only live about 10 minutes away. 5 minutes after I got home they texted me that my prescription was ready. I will probably continue to shop there but forget me ever being friendly to anyone there again. read more

This review is specifically for the food court. Terrible customer service especially from the manager bigger white woman. Went to go in to pick up some pizzas my sister ordered for her daughter's birthday. I show up late and they tell me she must have ordered them at a different location because the never received the order. I place another order for the pizzas and they tell me to come back in an hour because they are backed up. I come back in an hour and the manager comes to the counter and tells me she threw away my pizzas because I was late! I was 10 minutes late. She then proceeds to yell at me (in front of other customers) about having to throw away the pizzas from earlier too. That is the part that pissed me off the most. Why didn't they explain this to me earlier when I tried to get the first order of pizzas? They pretended to never receive the order. Also b.s on throwing away the pizzas just say you resold them and call it a day. Whole thing was handled poorly and I was 2 hours late to my nieces birthday party. Learn how to educate your customers on your policy with out being nasty. read more

Today at Bonney Lake, eh. relatively speaking, the optical dept here is darn near free compared to the "boutique," medical center, or even many everyday shops. of the three nearest warehouses to me it's also the only one that takes my insurance. i checked that out this year, wanting to try something different. have renewed my computer and distance eyeglass prescriptions here three years running. based on my interactions with an employee when i ordered my latest pair of glasses i chose today (Saturday) to pick them up hoping that worker wouldn't be scheduled ( that one looong sentence should be this entire review). well yep, they were there and i got 'em when my number was called. this review is in place of a formal complaint as i am not without blame in the matter. still it went too far. before today my only issue with costco is buying food items that i later wished i did not. overall? The most magical costco i've every visited. it's not clogged with shoppers, the selection of products is vast. It has all the same sections and basic layout of any other costco but there were no lines at the cash registers, no lines at the food samples, no lines getting in or out. This costco is worth driving to just for the magical experience of being all alone in a warehouse store. read more

Now since I finally went to another Costco I can compare this one to it. This one in Bonney lake will get my business a lot more for many reason first off it's not as packed as the one I just went too in Tacoma this past weekend. Wow what difference the customer and the staff are 100% more respectful. I've been to this one many times and although they don't have a lot of what other Costco's has they sure do make up with customer service. The nice people giving out samples are kind they will even give you seconds. I have people asking me if I need any help or if I'm finding everything ok. Huge plus in my book!! Comparing this store to the Tacoma Costco is a no brainer I will come to this one for one it's closer to my house second people are more respectful and I don't have to park 5 miles away because thats how busy other Costco's was. And lastly going through the checkout lane was a major difference. Here in Bonny lake they talk to you ask you about your day. And even take the time to look at your card to say hi Karen! At the Tacoma one there was nothing from the cashier nothing at all. And I know enough to know that the cashiers are the top $$ makers in the store because Costco prides itself on customer service. So yes Bonney lake Costco doesn't have everything you want but it does have everything you need(only reason why I'm knocking a star they need more stuff!!). And it's not as busy as other Costco's and the customer service is so much more personal here. Don't hesitate and come on in the environment and staff are completely different from the other ones and you will be pleasantly surprised and enjoy your shopping experience here. read more

I came in to do a return to this location 8/8 around 3pm.I was met by an employee who did not great me at the counter just kinda stared at me, the agent with another customer next to me sounded pleasant mine didn't even seem to want to address me. no "hello" didn't even speak to me or ask if anything was wrong with my return. when she got stuck she called another employee over and thinking I had looked away she glared at me as if I had dirt on my face or wondered in off the street. When I looked directly at her she faked a smile. I ignored this and decided to shop at this location anyway. all was well though no employee was kind. I went to check out at self check out where I was met by an employee by the name of "Brian V" He badgered me for my Costco card multiple times. I asked him if I could use a box and he gave me a look as if I was stupid and followed with an explination of what a scale was as if I was born yesterday. I was so disgusted by his blatant racism I asked him to Please leave me alone. He did not, he then asked me again for my Costco card, rushed me through so aggressively I busted my hand on the metal scale, I spoke to a manager on duty 5 feet from this man who simply said "im sorry that happened" He wasn't, didn't even say he would address the employee about this disgusting interaction. I am a Disabled Veteran and have a hard time with social interactions because of this but Paid my membership dues to Costco and more so to This country. Despite any personal views or racial bias based of my physical appearance, These employees should treat everyone with kindness or respect. Fruit selection is good but overall this location gets about a half a star. When your staff says things like *you need to share the counter space* (literally less than a 2 foot cutout window type space -- DURING COVID... maybe wait your turn??!!) instead of saying excuse me or do you mind moving to the side... these people are rude rude RUDE!!! Bad experience. Sent my children to run an errand for me @ Costco. They decided to go to the Bonney Lake Costco for the first time. Unfortunately, my children were racially profiled and discriminated by one of the Bonney Lake Costco employee at the exit area. The Costco employee stopped and looked at them. Then she stepped backward which made my kids felt uncomfortable. She looked at my children's cart, mind you, other previous customers prior to my children had way more items on their cart and she just browse through their receipt which only took her few seconds and let all other customers go with no issues. But when it came to my kids cart, it took her a very long time going through their cart thoroughly (which again, she did not do to other customers). Then she pointed out that the 2 boxes of coconut water on the bottom of cart wasn't on receipt and wasn't paid for. My daughter responded to her saying we paid for everything in the cart. So Below, if you look at the receipt, notice that the coconut water was listed back to back on the top of the receipt. The receipt even said "bottom of basket". The Costco employee finally said "ok it's right there have a nice day" with no apologies whatsoever. I understand that it is part of their job responsibility, however, the way this employee handled the situation was uncalled for. She racially profiled my children. She made them feel very uncomfortable. My children felt like they were being stopped for stealing something which is very upsetting. The fact that this lady didn't even apologize for her own oversight and mistake made the situation worse. We definitely will not go back to shop at that Bonney Lake Costco. No point in trying to have a vision examination Originally scheduled to have my two year contract vision examination today, but what's the point. The optical department is not allowing customers to pick/try on glasses. It defeats the purpose of getting the examination if you can't update your glasses, and the receptionist in the Optometrist's office didn't even bother to share this little piece of information. Highly recommend to the public to shop somewhere else for your vision services and your shopping needs. Costco is not a slight bit customer service supportive at all!
