We all know and love Costco for those low prices and quality products! This is a great location. On a Monday night, it was definitely not as busy as it could be. The food court was jumping though, for a great value on dinner. We both got chicken bakes and they are filling and delicious for only $4, and they're large enough to make two meals out of! I actually learned that you don't need a Costco membership to go to the food court, which is pretty nice. Everyone at Costco is always very friendly. The layout of the parking lot was interesting compared to southern and central Ohio locations, and shoppers would park in the "AIR ONLY" spaces who leave members waiting who genuinely need air in their tires. It should be monitored better. read more

Only stopped at gas station on our road trip. Could be more efficient, they don't have the green and red lights stationed at the columns like at other locations, so car knows when to advance to pump. I was driving on the highway when I hit a pothole, and my tire started losing air fast. By the time I made it to Costco, it was 8:29 PM, and they were already closed. For the basic membership price you truly make that back & then some..... for the first time ever, I have really put this membership to use. I love the deals you find on both clothing and food/household items. One thing that has always excited me were all of the tastings around the store but the staff that work them are NOT the most friendly. I'll be a happier camper (if that's even possible) when Costco allows you to buy bags from them much like Aldi. The food court is always clean and food is always the correct temp. The pizzzzzzaaaa? I've been to a lot of Costcos over my lifetime and THIS ONE is the absolute best. The staff is always friendly and I love that I see the same people working all the time and that we recognize each other, that's something I've never experienced at a big store before. Now, that probably means I'm there too often, but it also means their employees are staying, which makes me appreciate the business even more! The store is always clean, organized and there's always someone around to help out. For $60/year, we find a ton of savings over the year. You can buy your most used items in bulk, which is a big savings, but they also have a lot of deals on things that work for smaller families. We also love the wine and liquor selection. We've found the Kirkland brand to be so comparable to many name brand products, liquor included!! If you're looking for a way to save some coins over the long run, this is a good option. If I could give less than one star I would. Unfortunately, this is the only option. I've had a Costco membership for one year, and in that entire year I have never had a single pleasant experience at this location. Not once. At this point I'm convinced it's part of the store's "unique charm." Every visit feels less like shopping and more like trying to get through airport security. The main attraction is Charles at the front entrance, who apparently believes he's guarding a top-secret government facility instead of checking membership cards at a warehouse store. He regularly raises his voice at customers and enforces rules that seem to exist only in his imagination. What should be a simple two-second scan turns into an interrogation. Instead of being greeted like a paying member, I'm treated like a suspect trying to sneak into Costco undercover. Shopping here is stressful from the moment you hit the door. Hardly the welcoming experience you'd expect when you're paying for the privilege to shop. Costco advertises great customer service, but this location clearly missed that memo. After a full year of rude attitudes and unnecessary drama just to buy groceries, I've reached my limit. I am canceling my membership and will not be back. From now on, Sam's Club is where you'll find me where buying toilet paper doesn't require a background check. read more

On this trip we ended up with an airfryer, shorts, trash bags, and Poppi canned drinks. Everyone who we encountered that was working was so helpful and friendly! This location has become my favorite Costco. I happen to live almost exactly between the E. 86th St. and Michigan Rd. locations, and lately I have been heading to this Costco. First, it seems to be much less crowded, at least during the times that I usually shop. It isn't difficult to find a parking spot, and it is easier to navigate around the store. I have also found that this location seems to stock more items as well. I don't know if the store is bigger but it seems that way. Especially the larger items, such as furniture, grills, patio furniture, plants and gardening supplies seem to be more readily available here, in greater quantities and more options. Employees are friendly, as always, and checkout lines are much shorter than the E. 86th St. location. I usually use the self-scan checkout which gets me out the door even faster. Gas is nearly always less expensive here. I've saved as much as 50 - 60 cents a gallon before, although usually it is more like 20 cents per gallon cheaper. I always try to fill up here when I am in the area. read more

I'm writing this about the hearing center. I had an appointment a few weeks ago for a hearing test and hearing aids. There were a lot of different hearing pods that were put into my ear, plus one of them required a very loud calibration, which caused my ears to ring for a couple of hours. I wanted to see how the hearing aids that I was interested in would work once the pain went away in my ear, so I made another appointment. I went in to try the hearing aids that were suggested to me, but the man said he was going to let me try some other ones instead. I tolerated them fine but I called a friend while I was walking around the store and I had problems hearing her on the phone. I went back and I told him exactly that. I wanted to try the hearing aids that were suggested to me a few weeks ago and he said - no I don't think any of these hearing aids are going to work for you and I asked him about a trial. He said that's only if you think you're going to get them. I said that I I wanted them but of course I need to try them and he said no - none of our hearing aids will work for you. Pretty crappy customer service, and I cannot recommend them. Unfortunately, I'm going to need to go somewhere else to try the hearing aids that he suggested the first time that I try again and then and then he wouldn't let me. read more

Costco has become a weekly tradition for me! While I was originally apprehensive of getting a membership as everything is in bulk and I am mainly only shopping for myself, I have come to realize that this place can be shopping for one person, very easy! Whether it's groceries, household items, books, electronics or other seasonal items, Costco is most likely going to have an option! They have wonderful customer service, great deals and an easy to navigate layout. I utilize Costco for grocery staples, electronics and I can usually find a LEGO set there for cheaper than where I would normally buy it. They also have a Tire Center, which I have utilized before and it was quick and easy. However, if you are going to use the Tire Center, be sure to call before and make an appointment and ensure that your specific tire type is in-store. Lastly, Costco gas -- this is where I fill up my car and it's well worth it! While the gas does not count towards your year-end rewards, it's usually cheaper than a regular gas station. Don't let the lines deter you, it goes very quickly! read more

Worst customer experience I've had in years. Apparently Costco has decided to punish us lower level card holders and make us wait until 10am. Didn't know this. So I walk up at 907 am. Greeter was nice. Explained I had to come back at 9:30 so I waited. I come back in at 9:30 and a new greeter is at the door. Says you can't come in it's not 10am. I said your employee before you told me 9:30. Another lady comes scans her card. Something. She waited cause lady told her 9:30. So we asked to speak to Antwan manger. He was very polite and nice. Kept his composure but failed to not honor what his employee had told us. If I was the only one saying this I could see why but two of us who waited cause an employee told us wrong time. As a retail store manager of 23 years and many customer service classes. His conflict resolution skills need some work. Again he seemed very hours are posted nothing he could do. I get rewards and memberships but change your hours to 9 and let the higher paying members shop 8 to 9. Still pay for membership and shouldn't feel punished for not buying your executive. read more

So, this is the next in what I'm calling my series of "pandemic" updates...when I went to Costco on 3/12/20 which was just when things were starting to ramp up, it was full-on Panic at the Costco...it was worse by far than right before the holidays, they were out of all paper products and the chicken case was completely empty. It was packed, stressful, and just generally awful...and I swore I wasn't going back until after this was all over. So why did I go back today? I heard they were metering people into the store to promote social distancing and that they were largely stocked now that people had settled down on the panic buying. They have a very organized line system to get in that is set up in a way that does permit social distancing. Basically, they have a series of parallel lines along the side of the store separated by piles of wooden pallets. Line 1 is on the sidewalk (closest to the store). When enough people come out, line 1 goes in, and line 2 (closer to the parking area) moves into the line 1 position, and if there is a line 3, they move into the line 2 position. It only took about 10-15 minutes to get in on a Friday afternoon. This system makes for an uncrowded store and fast checkout. They were stocked with everything except Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. They put the things they're out of on a white board up front. I was able to get hand soap, latex gloves, boneless chicken, a rotisserie chicken, lots of fresh produce, frozen berries, milk, eggs, frozen fish, cheese, and...drumroll please...TP!!! They've put tape on the floor by the checkouts to remind people to stay 6 feet apart and have re-arranged some areas with tighter aisles to make it easier to stay far enough away from folks. They are also handing out wipes after you grab carts, and have installed plexiglass shields to protect the checkout workers including the person checking receipts. Heads up that they have shortened their hours and so are no longer open in the evenings. read more

Costco has sucked me in!! I tried to hold out for so long until finally, I couldn't resist any more. Costco has become an almost-weekly adventure of finding new treasures and treats. I save 0 money, in fact, my grocery budget seems to have expanded since joining, but I have lots of fun stocking my cupboards and trying new items. I've especially appreciated the prepared meals section and great refrigerated lunch items that are healthy-ish and easy to pack. My only complaint is that I'll just get attached to something and go to stock up and it's been discontinued/replaced by something else. There is definitely a strong rotation of items that can be a bummer when you just want your favorites. Also, LINES! Going around lunchtime on the weekends can get you stuck in a check out line all the way through the store but thankfully, everyone tries to keep it moving. Love you, Costco. I have a love-hate relationship with Costco. I'm a young, 20-something and have a GI illness so buying anything other than toilet paper and vitamins in bulk I find absolutely obnoxious and unnecessary. But I'm an Indian-American and let me tell you, our community loves deals. So we love Costco. My dad and I used to go just for the samples (I say, shamelessly). Many stick out, to the point that we'd eat lunch 1 in samples and get pizza to go home and munch on. I was devastated to see sample culture eradicated during COVID (although for good and obvious reason). But it doesn't stop me from reminiscing. Do you remember Chuck-e-Cheese's cheese pizza? Thick, hearty, a tinge of plastic, and possessing way too much cheese for a human of any size or age to eat at once? Costco is that in a socially-acceptable setting for adults. My friends and I have a system: sodas, 1 slice of pizza, and 1 churro, split three ways. It works for my need for cheese and weight gain, my sensitive stomach, and their calorie-counted diets. I've heard Costco is selling pizza again, although not by the slice (the method I prefer). I'm ready for a piece to tide me through the rest of this pandemic. read more

I am so disappointed in Costco. I placed an order for tires this morning only to find out that the tires can't be installed for a week. If only I had this bit of information before I placed the order. The set up is place the order and then schedule. To my surprise, I was able to have tires installed today at another retailer. I physically went inside Costco to cancel the order and was told I would need to call their online store. So I called their online store and was told they could not cancel. The purchase would have to go through and then I need to call again to get it refunded. I called my credit card company to stop the payment from coming through and was told that it is in pending status so we would have to wait for it to fully process. I lot of jumping hoops to simply cancel an order. I will never use their online service/store again. read more

Optical shop, tire shop, vacation packages, applicances and pharmacy rounds out Costco's offerings You can quickly find your cart filled with items that may be seasonal or regularly stocked. Your wallet or purse may freely open to spend at Costco, while your bank account or credit card statement may remind you of just how crazy you spent at Costco. Samples are back that were suspended due to COVID-19. I like that they have samples because it has saved me from purchasing new items that I was not a fan favorite of. I like that they have a lot of items on display so you know what they look and potentially function. Reminds me the long gone Service Merchandise stores. Be sure to look out for last item in the store items which will have a price sign directly on them instead of on the shelf. Membership cards can now be easily in the Costco app which is convenient and they accept tap payments, at Samsung Pay works. If you use non Visa debit cards you may have to use your PIN for purchases instead of running the transaction as credit. read more

Love Costco. This is a convenient location. I could spend all day in this store! The only thing that is mildly frustrating is they don't carry the same products all the time. You may buy something once and want to get it again and they don't have it. They do have a wide variety of products and many of their ready to cook meals are very tasty. What's not to love about Costco? Sure, I haven't tried everything in the store but what I have, I love. Bulk items, electronics, home improvement items, lawn and garden, furniture, Christmas Trees, live florals, seasonal decor, bedding, bath towels, clothing, fresh and frozen meats, fresh fruits and veggies to liquor and household items is what we've purchased so far. Everything is excellent quality, large savings on bulk items and customer service is phenomenal. The $60 Gold Star membership fee or the $120 Gold Star Executive fee paid for itself on our first trip. Plus there's an Annual 2% Reward on eligible Costco purchases. On the weekends you'll find lots of samples with a few during the week. These folks are just as nice as the employees! Yes, the crowds are large most evenings and weekends but I try to go through the weekdays whenever possible. Another thing I love is how quickly you move through the checkout lanes. Even long lines move quickly and they pride themselves on getting customers out quickly. If you haven't been or don't have a membership go with a friend your first time. Be prepared to pickup items not on your list but you can't pass up the quality and price. read more

Fantastic customer service both wholesale shopping and auto services. My tire was flat once and the mechanics went above and beyond (truly!) trying to fix it but eventually I had to get it repaired at a full service shop. The Costco employee felt bad and even offered to partially reimburse me for something that broke when they were trying to fix my tire (I turned them down but it's the thought that counts!). I will never forget how kind and hard they were trying to help me! Saturdays and Sundays are the days my boyfriend and I like to shop here because of all the delicious samples. The employees are all helpful, cheerful, and respectful. Place is clean, you'll find bargains, and produce is fresh and generally more healthy than what you find elsewhere. Some of the generic Costco (Kirkland signature) items are just as good if not better than brand names. Best of all, I hear you don't even need a membership to eat at their food court with bargain prices. $1.50 for a hotdog and a drink with free refills? $10 for a delicious WHOLE 18" pizza? Too good to be true and yet it is! With competitive prices, gas prices usually the lowest on gas buddy, and membership perks, such as travel getaway packages, I found I have always made back my membership fee and then some with the end of the year reward coupon.
