We don't come here often as Collin county locations closer to home but in the area for other errands. Good time to visit as lots of post-lunch yummy stuff free samples. We also got gas and so nice to have the expanded number of pumps. No waiting for Fri afternoon. I am imagine weekends it would be very busy. New process at self-check out as staff came by with tablet scanned contents of basket and membership card while waiting for open terminal. Since all scanned all we had to do at terminal was pay. Always good idea with large heavy items or number of small ones to have bar code up on package. Scan and go. Final note asked staff mbr at customer service where certain item was located. Checked computer and then escorted me all the way to back of store to make sure I could find it. He could have just told me but he took the walk as well. Good image. read more

You cannot go wrong at Costco. They sell high quality goods in bulk packages. We shop here regularly for so many staples at great prices. Costco is very picky about the brands they stock to make it easy for you. If they sell it, most likely it's good. Costco rotates brands so don't expect your favorite product to stick around forever. I call Costco the millionaire's Wal-mart. Some (not all) of the items tend to be high-quality or designed for large houses (e.g. a huge wreath for the front door) and buying items in bulk is more practical if you have a large house with lots of storage space. But everyone can enjoy shopping here. The large package sizes are obviously helpful for families. Even couples or singles can benefit from Costco sizes, though - the trick is to shop for non-perishable goods (toothbrushes, vitamins, pantry items) or stock up for parties. It's a bit of a madhouse if you go on weekends, but hey, you get free samples too. Costco also has online deals too. I LOVE Costco's returns: no-receipt no-questions-asked for 12 months policy. You decide you don't like it, it goes bad early, return it for your money back even if open. It makes shopping here low-risk. I have had memberships both at Costco and Sams and greatly prefer Costco. read more

This location is terrible. Getting to a main road is a maze. The geometry and layout inside looks like it was previously Sam's Club too. I noticed some others' reviews mentioning the rudeness of the staff. Personally I didn't experience this for myself but I also just went inside to do a quick browse avoiding anyone as much as possible. But I did notice as I was heading out in the checkout area. There was this bratty little kid playing with a cord in the checkout area and one of the staffers saw that and was telling the kid that it's not a good idea to do that and to quit doing that. The way staffer said it might've been construed as rude seeing as how his demeanor also looked like he didn't want to be there working. But to me, it was just blunt and to the point. So-called parents should watch their kids better or just make better decisions like not having kids to begin with if you can't bother to parent. read more

Armando handled our tire replacement on a Sunday on 12/03. Unfortunately we had 2 cracked rims. It kept them from installing all 4 new tires. We acquired the 2 needed rims & brought it back 12/04. Hopefully it'll rectify our situation. The staff is very accommodating; however when you call back it's very hard reaching a live tech. Their follow up is good & so far everything is working out well for us. Their Tire Center staff works like a well oiled machine; everyone works in conjunction from pulling in the vehicle, assigning job task, completing task, final finish & delivery. We wanted to get some quick grocery goods and we decided to visit this Costco. I think this Costco is the one that Koreans frequent the most, and knowing that the Duluth Costco in ATL has a lot of Korean goods, we were hoping for the same here. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to my expectations. This Costco felt a lot smaller actually, and they didn't have a lot of the food items I was looking for. It was also pretty empty for a Costco, which I wasn't complaining about since it made everything quicker, but still -- it says something about the location considering Costcos are always busy. We ended up not buying anything here - I live in Arlington so we do have a Costco there too and I was debating if I need to go to the Costco there or here, but it looks like there's no need for me to drive all the way here as this Costco isn't anything special. I like Costco. Period. I don't LOVE Costco. It's not a religion for me like some peeps. But it's a reliable experience and there are things I get from Costco that I can't easily get anywhere else. (And I only buy groceries from brick and mortar stores to support more local jobs - I don't have my groceries delivered.) The store is huge (duh) and fun to wander around. I'm always surprised at the lack of variety on some items - but that's the way Costco operates. You can buy this product for a fair price and in bulk. Don't like it? Go to a higher end or more "normal" non-bulk grocery store - which I do, in tandem with Costco. Costco isn't Sam's, which is a must for me. I don't support the Walton family for a variety of reason's, so if I'm not buying bulk from Sam's then Costco is the next obvious choice. Costco also takes better care of their employees than Walmart. If you hit Costco at a busy time, it can be hectic and lines can be long for both checkout and for receipt-checking at the exit. That's always a bummer and I recommend you avoid peak hours for sure. Last note: Costco is excellent for prescription eyeglasses. Great deals to be had with pretty good selection. That was actually the reason we got a membership, and that alone is worth it. Other good bulk items are gravy for us. read more

I have several Costco locations near me but this one is my favorite. It is also included in my top essential businesses of 2020. I've shopped here more than any other grocery store. I'll admit, I'm a big Costco fan and belong to an online group that reviews all their products we purchase from there. And it's not just food, this year I purchase a Ninja foodi air fryer, the coveted lazy Susan, blankets, towels, workout essentials, and so much more. During the big toilet paper crises of 2020, they handled everything fairly and professionally to make sure all members were able to get the red tail supplies they needed. They were good about enforcing limits on water, TP, paper towels, Lysol wipes etc. Definitely thankful for having this location so close to me. read more

This Costco like most Costco's gets crazy busy during weekends. It's in a convenient location just off of I35. It looks a little run down compared to the Costco in Southlake but it roughly has the same things. One plus is that there are some decent restaurants right next to this Costco as well. We like some of their meats, in particular I like the pre-seasoned fajita meat but I didn't see it this time. They usually sell it from spring through fall. Their rotisserie chicken is both tasty and very affordable. Their pharmacy is OK, they don't seem to carry everything but it's great for over the counter medicine. I don't think I would want to go through the hassle of getting my normal medicine picked up here anyway. One plus is that they have more self checkout lanes now. If it gets backed up and you have a lot of groceries usually someone will come over and help you scan which saves time and hassle. The food court isn't bad either, I just wish Costco would change up their menu a bit. It seems like the menu has been the same for the last 5+ years. read more

Costco is such a mixed bag. It is like you love going there but hate going there. No matter what they are crowded but that is not their fault. The parking lot is always insane. What they do need to fix a ALL Costcos is the check out. Costco has a much higher quality of products with Kirkland than Sam's but why is there no Scan and Go option. I no longer have a Sams membership but honestly would switch back to them just for scan and go. You scan the items as you put in the cart and then you leave. That's it. Very bad customer service. Had my credit card info stolen at Costco and had to cancel my Costco issued Citi Bank card. As a result my membership was also cancelled. While we love the food here, the variety, and the holiday options and would otherwise give the 121 Lewisville location 5 stars...the solicitors inside have GOT TO GO!! Everyone we talk to has to duck and dodge to get past them. It used to be one set but this week we counted 5 different stations where they jump in your path to bother u. Costco may never sell jewelry again bc we all avoid that main path. And why is it ok to allow them to harass customers? My membership fee should grant me freedom from what feels like dressed up panhandling. And I tried to send the message directly to Costco instead of this post, but the Feedback option was too weary of a process. read more

I love Costco but this is far from my favorite location. It is always super crowded and the lines are super long!! I will say the only awesome thing about this place was that I was able to pick up some amazing furniture that other locations in Dallas and Plano didn't have. Having moved from Northern California to Dallas. I swear Costco could probably double their locations in North Dallas area and increase customers. Almost every location I have been to has just packed to capacity. Even the normal off peak hours are just amazing to see the amount of people there. This is like your typical Costco. It has a gas station with good prices. It is a wholesale retailer. There is a liquor store attached to this location but it is not a part of the Costco. The prices for the liquor store are not that amazing. The food court at this location is messier than other locations. You may want to get your food to go. read more

May2023: 4 : I have come by this store on several occasions to pick up items that I needed for the family. The parking lot is always filled with vehicles as well as the store. There are several entrances and exits to this specific store location from the freeway adjacent to the entrance. There are many handicap parking spaces available adjacent to the front door. The parking lot is large enough for large vehicles to maneuver through the area, but I would suggest staying on the outside lanes as to allow yourself extra space to move through the lot. The store is set up pretty well as far as movement into the store and around to the left past the meat, fish and cold storage. This location always has a decent selection of cooked chickens that fill up the container they're sold. This location always has well stocked shelves. This location seems to have an issue with workers on the floor, but the worker I encounter today at the cash register was great. She was knowledgeable, capable and efficient. I was able to get through the line quickly without any issues. I did stop by to get a strawberry sundae on my way out. It was an interesting thing that I noticed. He took one scoop of strawberry and smeared it over the container and then filled it with ice cream without adding any additional strawberry syrup. Hmmmmmm...? I was a little bit irritated that I had to pay 95 cents extra over the price of regular ice cream, which is exactly what I got for 2.99 instead of $2 Aug2020: 2 : Two years since my last update. I came by here today to purchase a few items for my spouse and found the same situations that gave rise to the three star review. I did stop by the in-store food court and found that the new acai bowl that they featured is not worth the $4.99 they asked as it was less than adequate in taste and product. The worker filled my bowl with bitter tasting blueberries to try and reduce the amount of frozen acai in the cup. Bad decision when customers are watching. Aug2019: There's a lot of people here and no ten items or less line!!. I have three items and everyone around me has a full cart of stuff. A couple of weeks ago I thought the Pepsi from the fountain tasted watery. After speaking to 2 managers, it was found that the Pepsi machine was malfunctioning and was mixing too much soda and too little concentrate. Hundreds of customers must have drunk this watered-down Pepsi. Ready to eat meals, like the stuffed bell peppers or the ribs are always a hit. The Pecan Pie...c'mon now. Varied wine selection ranging from super affordable to mid range ($45 - $50+) prices can be found here or maybe you are looking into the electronics where you can find a solid deal and not to mention their two-year warranty versus the one year you receive at most other retailers. The tire shop does an outstanding job when it comes to prices and the time it takes to install. Appointments are honored, free rotation and balance for life of the tires. The stock of items seems to have a greater Asian influence compared to other locations as well, which can be quite nice...in fact, I wish some of the items would be available in my home Costco. The biggest detriment to this particular location is the remarkable lines, the slow checkout and the chaotic design. It's a bit odd that it was structured this way. Stopped in on a Saturday morning to pick up a few things for a family meal/birthday celebration. I am not normally a Costco shopper, but my family member has a membership and they shop there regularly. This is an easily accessible location situated at the intersection of 121 and I35. It was very busy on a Saturday morning, which is not surprising, but it did make it hard to socially distance. However, there are several visual measures of Costco's efforts - employees wearing masks, markings and signage for social distancing, only certain checkouts open, etc. Their aisles are well stocked and we found a good birthday cake in the bakery that was a hit later that night. Despite it being busy and not all cash registers being open, we were checked out in less than 5 minutes. read more

Lines can get really long here and it's almost always crowded. If you can go to the other locations, I'd recommend it. Workers and staff here are great. Stock in supplies is great and there's a lot of availability. There are somethings that I don't see here that are available at other Costcos though. Very clean and organized in general. I just want to give a big shout out to all the employees at Costco Lewisville. I used common sense and got there right at opening Sunday. They were well stocked but even more well prepared for the best and the worst of humanity. Taking and enforcing all the possible precautions and being friendly while being in a high risk exposure level. I feel for them , they have to look out for people who ignore a simple 6ft distance level. Who have to explain the posted "limit 1 rule", who ask people to patiently wait and not cut in line. People, take the extra time to sincerely thank the employee's serving us in times like these. These people are husbands and wives, moms and dads. They are tired and dealing with allot of ugly people in high stress situations over a roll of toilet paper!!
