Hiyi! Howsit going peeps? Allergies kicking in so I went to see my NP, she hinted Zyrtec was on sale at Costco. Off to Southlake we go. Okay, so no thousands of samples out today. No biggie. I was there by noon on a Wednesday so the crowd was light and the lines super short. Found Zyrtec and yes, saved a bundle of cash. Also found these nifty charged light bulbs. Last week we had a power outage. Next time I'll be ready. Coscto has a 6 pack of battery backup bulbs for $9.99. Power goes out, these stay on for up to 10 hrs so you don't bump around looking for lanterns. Even has 2 portable sockets to carry a charged bulb around like a lantern. Whoda thunk? Anyhow, didn't get a hotdog deal or frogurt berry swirl. Staying focused on my 6 pack. Don't want those 6 pounds back on. My goal is -2 more by June. Easy peasy. Love ya peeps. Hope your day was pleasant. If not, ctrl +alt + delete. Open your task manager, go to the processing tab and end task on as many as you need to to lighten the load. Sick and tired of Costco not having enough motorized carts. I am post-surgery and unable to walk for six weeks. They never have a cart available when I am here. It's a consistent problem. I know it isn't just happening to me. They need to value their elderly and disabled customers more. I have never had this problem at Sam's, Kroger, Walmart, etc. read more

This location is by far the worst Costco I have ever visited in North America. I have been a Costco member for almost 18 years, and I have never experienced this level of overcrowding and poor crowd management. On weekends, the store becomes extremely overcrowded, and the parking lot alone can feel dangerous and chaotic. There seems to be little effort to manage traffic, control the crowds, or address basic customer safety concerns. Costco should seriously evaluate whether this location can safely handle the number of customers it attracts, especially during peak weekend hours. From a longtime member's perspective, it feels as though maximizing the number of shoppers has taken priority over safety and the overall customer experience. After nearly 18 years of membership, I am seriously considering ending my membership unless Costco improves the situation or opens another location nearby to relieve the pressure on this store. This has become an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

Do you have a Costco credit card? If yes, did you know if you cancel your membership after 3 months, they cancel your card and all the money you've earned in rewards disappears. Yep, I'm about to lose $103 even though some of those rewards were earned in different retailers. Class action anyone? Do you know what Sam's credit card does? As you earn the rewards you can immediately redeem them in store. If you cancel your membership you still keep your card. Yep! Opposite of Costco. read more

Under new leadership, in last year?? Not clear why SL costco has discerned it makes good sense for their customers to wait at exits with 3 employee-manned rows of checkout (and not 5 or 7) to help exit the masses. Leadership: if you continue holding us hostage to these checkout lanes with our carts full of frozen (is it still frozen?) foods we may drop our loyalty to kirkland or drop our NO longer Frozen items for wastage. If we filled our carts I believe you should minimize the fully controllable delays and man the checkout lanes during busy business hours. read more

My MIL ordered hearing aids and went into the hospital with a shattered femur and will be approx 4-6 months until she can visit the store. Never dealt with a more rude individual with zero feelings that we are in a bind here. She needs to be able to hear medical info from doctors and physical therapy. Smart alec sample server thought it was his job to finish my every sentence. (No, it wasn't your job, Brent) Lines were packed, including at self check. It's a Costco. Often times a wave of despair washes over you as soon as you enter the parking lot. Did you take your glucosamine this morning? How are your elbows? Are they warmed up and ready to be thrown? If so, enter. Enter and likely be immediately jammed up by the people gawking at the entrance area items while leaving their carts in the middle of the floor. Make your way past them to quickly tell people on the left you already have AT&T for your phone, your Wi-Fi, your TV, and you named your dog after the company, also. Now you are in the belly of the beast, likely starting to feel emotionally and spiritually exhausted, pressed in on all sides by the tremendous sea of humanity with nary a drop of courtesy. Shop on, stop for some samples if you can, and keep moving. Be amazed at the quantity of items you never knew you needed. 5 pounds of prunes? Sure! Lemme squeeze that into my cart next to my 3 liter corn oil. Mmm, MMMM! The staff here, fortunately, is friendly. Perhaps they share in your repressed panic, their faces frozen into smiles. They applied for the madness and embrace it. They own it. They rock. Leave the store, try not to get hit in the parking lot, load up, and get on home. You made it. read more

Classic Costco! It has great selection and great value. Be careful on Sundays when it gets really busy, it gets so difficult to find a parking space. They have a large parking lot, it just gets busy. The interior was clean, the service was friendly. There was a good selection of food. read more

I will never go through Costco for a new AC unit again! My old unit wasn't broken but it used the old Freon and I wanted a new system that didn't use that freon and that was going to last. Joke's on me not only did they lie to me and tell me that yes this is one of the new systems that doesn't use that old freon I now have to replace the unit and it's only 6 years old. It uses the old Freon so they can't just replace the condensers they have to do the condenser and the coils. Again not even 6 years! I will never go through Costco or Crawford services to put in an AC unit ever again. All I can say is they lie to me and a system that goes out after less than 6 years no thank you! read more

This is not my normal store to shop at, but I was very impressed at this Costco. The customer service here is super friendly. They were also very helpful. Being a different store than I am used to, there were a few items I wanted (Vinegar, etc) that were not where they are in my regular store. The staff was very nice about helping me out and direction my steps! I am a fan of Costco's prices. They are consistently cheaper than where I can find comparable items. Great experience! read more

I visited this location yesterday with a relative who had a major issue with an order that, despite spending hours on the phone to resolve, somehow could only be dealt with in a store (This is what the phone support told her). A server crash caused an online order not to go through, but yet the money was taken. So, not a minor problem. We were there three hours trying to get the issue resolved. I say this not to complain but to point out that in all that time, the 3-4 different people helping us were focused on finding and fixing the problem. They showed great patience and determination to get a resolution. They brought us bottled water while we waited. They were extremely polite as well as apologetic and were very concerned with getting us a satisfactory answer. Finally the issue was taken care of and we were able to leave, but I want to compliment the staff that day on their service and focus on the customer experience. They did nothing to cause the problem but they took responsibility to fix it. read more

Something I love about this Costco is samples! I have found a bunch of new foods because of the samples they give out. I love that they don't do the same samples over and over. It gives me a chance to try before I buy. This Costco is well stocked and genially clean especially considering how busy it is. Been to many Costco's in the DFW area and this has to be the worse one for rude, pushy, clueless shoppers. What possesses someone in a very busy store to just stop with their cart in middle of aisle, blocking people in both directions, while they stare aimlessly around them or look at their phone? And their self checkout line(s) is a major free-for-all. What seems like one line that branches out to three once you get to the front, you find out maybe isn't when folks push around you after you've been waiting in what started out as the single line. Then you get to hear folks scolding those who cut in line, only to find out from the attendant that "There are three separate lines!" Can't you make that blatantly obvious by putting a "form three separate lines" note on the floor? Or better yet just make it the one line since you never know if you're gonna choose the line that has shoppers unequipped to understand "self checkout" and take far too long to check out. Of all the Costcos I've been to, this is the one I avoid like the plague. (And I didn't even mention the parking lot fiasco!) read more

I've always heard Costco prides itself on customer service, but today was extremely disappointing. I came in today and spent $909, including several items and a PS5 Pro console. As required, I went to customer service with my receipt to pick up the console. Unfortunately, the associate helping customers was tied up with another issue regarding a discount that lasted about 10 minutes. I was already on a tight schedule because I had to pick up my kids. I politely asked another employee standing at the counter if he could assist me, and I was told I had to wait for the same associate. A few minutes later, that employee asked someone else to help me. That person walked past me, went behind the counter, and started chatting with another employee instead of helping me. I waited another couple of minutes and realized no one was taking my situation seriously. At that point, I had no choice but to leave. I asked where returns were and ended up returning my entire cart, not just the PS5, because I was so upset with how the situation was handled. While returning the items, the employee who walked past me asked if he had passed me at the counter. I confirmed that he did and explained that this was the reason I was returning everything. There was no attempt to fix the situation, no effort to make things right, just a quick "sorry" and he walked away. I'm sure Costco won't miss a $909 purchase, but I will gladly take my business elsewhere. The entire experience made me feel ignored and disrespected, and honestly, it left me feeling discriminated against. Whether intentional or not, that's how it came across. Very disappointing experience, especially for a store known for valuing its members. Hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else. read more

Just when I thought Costco couldn't get worse, I gave it another shot and am beyond disgusted. We spend thousands here per year, but not any longer. We should have long ago canceled our membership, but that is priority one now. The carts and parking are one thing, paying just to check yourself out is another, being talked back to and treated like trash by employees (here's looking at you Food Court!) is the straw that broke the camel's back. The woman literally back talked me when I asked for a piece of foil after purchasing four meals. She said it was only for people buying pizza (with so much sass I thought I was talking to my hormonal teenager). I was there last night. I was checking out. The cashier said something in spanish, i said I do not understand. He was identifying me as hispanic. He asked me what language I spoke. i thought that was very rude. He asked me to donate money to something. i politely said no. He still insisted! I thought that was rude, i paid by cash. Then he gave me change which he did not hand over properly. It spilled out of my hand. I thought that was deliberate. I calculated the tital. Looks like he added 'donation money' to my total. receipt. Personal questions, insisting on donation, not handing out change properly, adding donation to total! This person seems to be new and he is young and hispanic. I will also add other employee. He is young, looks oriental, may be he is Nepali, he works in evenings. He was rude to me at times. May be he thought I was muslim. I do not know for sure. I am saying this as one day he was standing at exit door checking receipts and he saw me buying food popular in a non muslim country and his face had very surprised reaction! read more

Who doesn't love Costco?!? Of course, I've never seen it not busy! Thankfully, there's lots of parking spaces, but I usually find one within a few minutes. It's not the closest, but it's a spot nonetheless. With these large wholesale markets, I'd rather walk than wait for a prime spot. Try to avoid coming on the last day of the booklet sale... it's always extra crowded. There's always something new at Costco - whether it's food, beauty products, or appliances. It's always a great price! The best thing is that if you're not satisfied then you'll get a full refund. As I walked around, I noticed that they have large freezers. How did I not know this?!? I was just mesmerized by the price and quality of it. I've noticed that the Kirkland wine is always a good choice. You can get the brand name bottles at a grocery store at a better price. My husband and I usually go to the self-checkout line. Sometimes the employees do it, which is nice because they have the handheld scanner. This Costco is unfortunately in the clogged mess that is this part of Southlake. Don't expect anything to go quickly and you'll be in the right mindset for a trip to this store (no fault of Costco's). While smaller than any other Costco I've been to, it is well laid out and has a nice selection across the spectrum. Employees are friendly, the store is clean, and while checkout lines can be quite long on weekends, they usually move quickly. read more

Large and clean store with tons and tons of everything...you need half a day to go through everything. Samples at the end of almost every other aisle. Christmas trees and holiday wrapping. Looks like they added extra room for the clothing tables. Large screen TV's -- all sizes. Fine Jewelry, light bulbs, generators, fresh produce, cat and dog foods and accessories, fresh baked breads and muffins, hot tubs, socks, furniture, vitamins, wines, snacks, books, shampoos, laundry soap, etc. And the only photo I took was of their bulgogi. Haha. Fairly easy parking. Quick checkouts. They even have self-checkouts (which I won't do unless they want to offer added discounts for working there). Worth the trip to Southlake, Tejas. I seldom make it to this location versus the one in Alliance Town Center, but maybe I need to swap that out more often. We decided to do a run for regulars over this way for a change and it's a lot better, IMO. Right off the bat, despite being an older location, they're clearly less shop-worn, their entire supply of carts are like new. Shelves and aisles were just more orderly, etc. And the place is a bit smaller, which might be a good thing, 'cuz it's just less "garage sale-ish" mess about. The Alliance location has more stuff that has nothing to do with a "supply run" like clothes and books flat on tables, just unsightly clutter to get in the way of just getting those eggs and toilet paper. And I don't think it was my imagination that the staff was even less fatigued, looked more upbeat, probably because the workload is less heavy compared to the other locations. Anyway, even though it's a bit farther, we'll probably be coming here more often. I speculate some of why the Alliance location gets hammered harder is because it's the farthest north-west in the DFW area-ish, so the rural communities come to that one, not so much this one since it's deeper "in town". Anyway, if you're suffering a bit of Costco-dread, maybe work this location more in the routine, even if it is a bit farther, IMO. read more

What's not to like about Costco? Return policy is consistent from state to state. They take back items after they have been opened . I returned some fruit from a couple of days ago after I found mold on them. They have a list of your purchased items under your membership. Wishlist #1. I wish they posted the prices of gas so you can see it before deciding yo get in line #2. I wish there was a Costco car wash like at some locations #3. I wish you can order their sheet cakes at a smaller scale. Yes, I love their sheet cakes #4. I wish they carried liquor as they do in some states. I wish I had read Yelp's tire service reviews before switching to Costco from Discount Tire for my recent tire purchase. Note there are several Yelp complaints about the waiting time and appointment requirements for tire related service. I spoke to the Southlake store about availability of tires and was told it would take 2 days to ship them in. What I wasn't told before ordering and paying for them is that it took 10 days to get an appointment for installation. It also didn't dawn on me that Costco appears to only have 4 installation stalls. When I brought the car in I was told it would take 1 - 1.5 hours to balance and install the tires which seemed like a lot more time than Discount Tire. It ended up being 2.5 hours. The waiting area is a single bench that you need to share with other waiting customers. Upon questioning staff it appears that it is a bad idea to make an appointment in the afternoon as work typically backs up during the day (every day). None of this would be a big issue except when it comes time to set appointments for regular tire rotations and what happens when there is a semi-emergency tire failure? As one Yelp reviewer said you need an appointment for everything. From my discussions with employees my experience was the norm and management is not planning on fixing any of this. Also note that Costco is very interested in soliciting public product reviews, but not service reviews. read more

Have had three experiences all negative-the staff has an attitude. No hand scanner in self checkout. Terrible product selection-no hand soap or breath mints or gum of any kind. Layout is a mess-you have to walk all the way to the exit to access the membership services. Why ? Today, Tracy in customer service was so rude, at one point she simply turned away and pretended I wasn't there even though I was not done with our interaction. Also, no phone number on the receipt. Not sure what is happening with this Costco but they continue to go out of their way to alienate their customers. Latest example: they put the self checkout on the other side of the store. U have customers accessing self checkout from multiple areas causing confusion and arguments. They have furniture that runs right up to self checkout making it cramped. Spoke with management only to be told this is a corporate directive. Decided to go to Sam's Club instead. They have made changes to check out that actually make sense. The person who thought of moving the self checkout to the smallest area needs to rethink it. There is no defined line, people are confused and argue with each other. The old way had a long single file line and was efficient. Now it's one line going toward the entrance, one kinda going in between and aisle to the granola, and another line of people trying to figure out where the lines end. It's a mess. I went to the regular line and was done quick even though there were only 4 lanes open. I only had 3 items so normally self checkout is easier. But not at all anymore. Don't expect anyone to go out of their way in the bakery department. I asked for a rainbow border and rainbow letters and they couldn't bother to call me and let me know they weren't going to do that. I put order in on Tuesday and picked up on Saturday. They had plenty of time to call and I would have gone somewhere else. I showed up on Saturday and the baker handed me the cake and walked away. Won't be ordering from their bakery department again. I am giving this review based on the service I received from Rhonda at member services. I came to cancel my membership (don't even Get me started as to why ) I didn't earn the 120.00 for the year and she gladly offered to refund me all the money as it is their policy however she explained I wouldn't be able to get my tires serviced (I have two cars with newer tires) also my visa would be canceled as well. She suggested the downsized member of 60.00 since I won't be shopping here like I have in the past 20years(I'll let you guess why ) I need the tire services so I agreed and she applied the money from the 120.00 membership that I didn't earn last year and it only cost me 20.00 for the year . With that being said YES I won't be shopping at Costco this year and I hope they change some policy's soon. Unprofessional. Ordered 4 tires, scheduled appointment to get the tires replaced. We dropped off the car early not expecting them To start early but the schedule time. The guy said the will be able to get it started, and be done in an hour. Stopped by an hour and half later for them to say that one of the tires that came in was wrong and they can put the 3 new tires on and put on the donut spare tire until the correct tire comes in, in one or two days. Why don't they call me when they checked I. The tires and tell me that one of the tires was incorrect and left my other tires on and had me just reschedule when all the tires were. Instead of waiting half in hour later when I stopped to check, my car was on the lift with no tires on and then tell me. I thought I came to a tire place that knew what they were doing. I'm not usually one to be offended by objectifying forms of address, especially when used by harmless old men (they don't know better), but when the cashier my age at Costco sees that my mask slipped just below my nose while I was bending over to search for my credit card and says with condescending superiority "keep your mask over your nose when you're in the store hun" Hun? it struck a feminist nerve I haven't felt flare up in quite a long time. First of all, this is Texas. At Costco, not singles night at the bar. If you're going to address a grown woman you don't know, it's ma'am, not hun. Not sweetie, not love, not doll face. Ma'am. Second, let's be reasonable. I was at least 12 feet away from any other person with exception to the cashier, who was 4ft away, in a 1/2 inch thick plexiglass box, wearing a mask. I think we're beyond the reasonable risk of contagion here. I could have been wearing my mask around my waist and that man was not going to be infected if I sneezed straight at him. What is it with Costco employees? Of all the grocery store heroes, they consistently stand out for being the least pleasant to be around since covid. All sense of friendliness and respect is gone. Costco employees treat customers like they're doing US a favor by letting us shop there. They bark orders, speak abruptly to customers, and walk around with an aura of frigidity not common among the employees of other stores. Is this a new part of Costco employee training?
