I have stopped at the gas station at this Costco many times, but never went into the store until this trip. A large parking area that is fairly easy to get in and out of. The prices and items were the same as my Costco. The employees I came in contact with were helpful. The lines moved quickly, but on this day people didn't have lots in the carts ahead of me. Costco!!! I feel like the name kind of says it all. But here are a few details about how fantastic it is. This Costco is located in Pooler. It is at Blue Moon Crossing, right on Pooler Parkway off of I-16. There is a large parking lot. Yes, there is a Costco gas station. This Costco has a small plant area upfront next to the shopping carts. Upon entry after scanning your card it is the warehouse you know or have seen in pictures/videos. The customer service area is up front and to your right upon entry. The prices are excellent in Costco! I mean you are buying in bulk. I always suggest price checking though to make sure you are truly getting the best deal. Check the aisles and app for sales. The Costco hotdog and drink deal is there do not fear! Along with many other items, pizza slices, a whole pizza, sandwiches, and drinks. This area is next to the checkout area. Consider becoming a member if you are not one, it pays for itself. read more

I love shopping at Costco! Their product selections are superior to the other warehouse store. Great produce, frozen foods, dairy and prepared foods. I'm a vegetarian so I can't comment on their meats. Everything is so fresh and the store is super clean. The seasonal foods and gifts are top notch! We always find great gift ideas. My sons and I love the clothes, especially their prices. 2 mens leather belts for $14, boxer briefs 6 pack $12, Lucky Brand womens jeans $28 - you can't beat these deals anywhere. Weekend shopping at Costco is not for the faint-hearted. It can get very, very crowded but the checkout lines zip by quickly. When items go on sale, the prices are even better. I appreciate their generous returns policy. They take anything and everything back, no matter how many years ago it was purchased. That gives me assurance that I'm getting a good deal from a solid company. Yay Costco! read more

In our experience, our Costco's Member service in Pooler GA is always outstanding. They are flexible in demonstrating their best efforts to help members enjoy a happy shopping experience. Yea, happy! Why? Is it their vast selection of quality items? Are there items always the least expensive? Is their Costco Anywhere VISA credit card the best credit card in your wallet? While all their facilities we have visited are clean, well stocked, very price competitive, and their Costco Anywhere VISA offers tremendous money saving benefits over many credit cards, in our opinion, all of these excellent benefits are not Costco's #1 customer benefit. So what is it, exactly? It is their people, plain and simple. Most are gracious, they will tell you the truth while sharing their personal product experience about products you're considering purchasing as they are also customers, just like you. In our opinion, and that of many others (What other retailer do you know who has received a extremely positive interview on Sixty Minutes, or "The Vipers of Corporation Reputation Shredding", for their excellent member experience, and for their promotion of their associates from within), deliver the best shopping experience in retail industry because they are most especially, compensated and promoted for doing so. How do I know? Because one of our sons worked for Costco to earn spending money while in college. Let me give you a real world example. An elderly gentleman had a "Depends Experience" while wearing none, in a Costco bathroom where our son worked as a Christmas hire. The stressed elderly gentleman asked another random Costco member in the bathroom to get a Costco employee because he was literally stuck in the bathroom stall. Hun...? Yea, you read that right. The helpful Costco member told a female Assistant Store Manager, who then assigned our son to help the member "stuck" in the Costco bathroom. Our son asked how he could help the member. The gentleman explained his medications' side effects had caused him to have are very large accident in the Costco bathroom stall. He continued that he was now stuck because although he did his best to clean up his mess, he now had no clean clothes to wear because his accident went everywhere. Our son, 19 years old at the time, first thought of his Grandfather's now infamous Burger King emergency and terrorised thought "What do, I do?" He then asked the elderly Costco member, "Do you have your member card and credit card?" The member puzzled replied, "Yes I do, but why?" Our son replied because if you tell me your underwear, pant, and shirt sizes, I will shop for those items for you, pay for them with your cards, bring a them back to you, so you can change. The elderly member replied, "Yes, yes, thank you so much for helping me." The rest of embarrassing event short, the elderly member was so grateful, he first drove home, showered, and returned to Costco within a couple of hours. He then found the Store Manager expressing how grateful he was for the helpful Costco associates fast thinking that helped him get out of that stall. Our son's reward? He had to finish cleaning and disinfecting the bathroom stall. Yea, I know, right! However, Costco hired 32 people that year for their Christmas rush. However, after Christmas passed Costco decided to only kept one. And no, they did not hire the elderly gentleman member, but if they had, that would've been hilarious! Yes, they kept our son, who took a year off to decide if perusing his degree was the right path for him, in his life. To be clear, although we love our son with all of our heart and soul, the point here, and in this review, is, all about Costco. They only kept one hire, while thanking, but then laying off 31 people. Why? Because their management has been trained to be customer centric! So hiring customer centric associates is their top priority. What does customer centric mean? It means, "It's all about you", their members. Because without you, there is no Costco, and they know it. They display their focus and gratitude in their actions in helping their members, everyday! That is why they are #1. In Sales? No, actually they're #3 in sales. But they are #1 in their chosen goal and in what is critical to their success, Customer Satisfaction. So plane and simple, it's Costco's people that are their #1 customer benefit. Together, they make all the difference to their members. That is the main reason why we, their members, shop there! Ah yea, and a word to the wise. As you age, if you don't want to find yourself at some point, in the same position as that elderly gentleman member, we highly recommend Depends to you, your Family and all of your friends which are located in Isle 36, section C. Friday afternoons are the best time to go to Costco in Pooler! The store is busy, but not packed. You're able to push around your massive cart without always being in the way. This Costco is clean and always well stocked. While I wish they had scan & go like some other warehouse-style stores, the lines move quickly. This is a great place to stock up on paper products. Why is the Costco fuel station CLOSED on Memorial Day, when people shop and travel?? There was absolutely ZERO signage indicating they were closed at the station. No papers, nothing but a lock on the nozzle. I only found out by opening the app, but NOBODY checks that for pump hours before stopping to get gas. It's ridiculous. This Costco is the closest to my new home in South Carolina. Seems odd but yes we drive across state lines to get here. Note because of Georgia's liquor laws there is no liquor store attached that I grew used to in Florida. You do have though the nicest and best Costco staff in the Costco universe and that more than makes up for this. Only a couple years old I am told it is brand spanking new and all shiny all over. Now these Costco people really knew what they were doing none of the rows go straight up and down. Therefore you will end up here twice as long. Being newbies we don't mind. In fact our last visit yesterday we went at lunchtime without eating first OMG. Well they had a dozen people giving out samples. Two shopping carts later we left with everything we needed to stock our new home. The best was shelf liner paper that costs less than half of the big box stores as well as Command brand hooks to hang pictures with no nails. Who doesn't love Costco?! We became members as soon as the Costco opened up. We shop here once a week to stock up on essentials that we need to buy in larger quantities. Costco has a variety of products and it's easy to get lost in and divert from your list when you're here. There's a home section, clothes, jewelry, mattresses, and of course food! We typically try to plan our visits for a time when it will be less because this place is constantly BUSY. We usually come late Friday nights or super early Sunday. We like to be in and out. This place samples on the weekends and has a lot of items where you get the best value for your dollar. We love buying meat, waters, toilet trees and other food items here. We stopped buying produce here because every time we'd get home something was molded or severely ripe so we decided to stop altogether. The service is usually really nice! We've only had one negative experience out of many visits. FINAL VERDICT: you know I'm going to say it's absolutely worth it to get a Costco membership. As usual, their gas prices are more competitive than any independents, and this is a good spot on route to HH head area, where gas can be a few pennies more. Every time we've gone, it's been close to closing on a Sunday - no telling whether they are not busy at other times compared to when we visited. As usual, Georgia stores offer a better wine selection than our Altamonte WH. On this occasion, we secured a very nice monastrell for the break-the-bank price of $6.99. This Costco just opened today! I went over to check it out at lunch (good ole Costco samples lunch). I am so glad they opened up in Pooler! They are laid out exactly the same as the other big warehouse store in town (eerily the same), but the product quality is soooo much better! Given the amount of people inside, the checkout lines moved amazingly fast. I entered the self-checkout line and they even had it staffed with employees to help you scan your items and checkout as quickly as possible. SAMPLES Their samples were out in full. COVID wasn't slowing them down. WINE Their wine selection was amazing and at great prices, just as I remembered from my old days as a Costco shopper. They have everyday value wine and expensive, special occasion wines. They even offered BIG bottles of quality wine (hundreds of dollars). MEAT COUNTER Their selection of fresh meat is amazing. Beef, lamb, pork, chicken. They have a lot of seafood too at great prices. They had a pack of 6 lobster tails for only $49 (only 8 bucks a tail!). NON FOOD They had a selection of electric bikes and even a Segway eMoped. Those are some serious warehouse buys. Of course they had a huge selection of large TVs and personal electronics. I can tell you there has been a Noticeable decline in customer service and overall product quality over the past 2 -3 yrs, and he prices are not nearly as competitive as they used to be. You can find it all there....and the Quality of meat, fish, produce....outstanding! I buy gifts, essentials, food (I cook a lot being a retired chef)....I always find what I need. The cheeses are great! All this said, now finally retired in Savannah and the Pooler store is very good also....smaller than Houston (but that's OK...lol). Great place for a hot dog The peaches are also delicious! However, beware of the service on tires. The tire shop didn't thread the nut to the stud properly. I was told no refund. My boyfriend has been a member for a few months now and I would go with him and have loved every experience. Until yesterday when we went in to get me signed up as an executive member which I was so excited to do. Alice, the lady that helped us made this experience not so exciting. Her attitude, demeanor, and the way she acted as if we were bothering her turned this into an unpleasant event. We tried speaking to her about upgrading and she just rudely said "it will be $30".. she then took our picture and quickly counted and just took the picture and handed the card to us as she was on the phone and leaning halfway across the counter. When my fiancé and I were redirected to the membership counter little did we know we were walking into hell's gates, membership involved going through initiation. There were people everywhere, we had to stand with our backs to the walls while this lady screamed that there are two lines, we now know 2 lines when exiting Costco, thanks lady! Everybody was terrified when she called us forward to take our pictures. After that, we entered the promise land or so we thought, I think all of earth's population decided to go to this Costco on this day. I got dirty looks from 3 old men, first one was because I proclaimed my love for my fiancé and he shot me a dirty look, next one stopped his cart in front of me for saying "excuse me" third one I was trying to pronounce the name of an Asian dish they had for sale and the guy looked at me as if I had dishonered his ancestors, it was time to go. And all of this is happening as this refrigerator sized autistic kid was roaming the store unsupervised stealing all of the free samples. There's the gates we're home free after the second to final boss, the self checkout. In order to not need assistance here you need ninja like reflexes after scanning (no pun intended) and don't forget only two lines when leaving.
