I had been torn about renewing my membership and determining if it was necessary. Let's just say I spent 6 months going without and I couldn't wait to start it back up for the savings. This location is not that bad, the parking lot always seems very busy and the customer service area could use more workers. On a recent visit I waited in line over 20 minutes and to find out I didn't even need to stop in for a new card. There cafeteria food is usually pretty cheap and good as well! read more

Never had an interest in a Sam's membership until I saw a Groupon yesterday for $15 for the year, can't say no to that. Easy to sign up and I love that everything can be digital. Used my phone hours after signing up to scan the QR code at the gas pump and paid with my phone, LOVE that!! The scan and go feature on the app is a fantastic idea. Didn't work as I'd hoped since it couldn't scan the paper labels in the prepared food section but otherwise a great way to save time if you're shopping for prepackaged items. Highly recommend the Mediterranean pasta salad!! Bought it for lunch today and added some pulled rotisserie chicken and fresh diced avocado and now I'm addicted!! read more

Gasoline pirces are good if you are a Sam's Club member- this is closer to Savannah, GA....but it is close to the Exit of I-95 on the way to Charleston, SC...it is in Georgia...but pretty close to end or close to entry of South Carolina in 15 or 12 miles approximately. People who work there are very nice....they go out of the way to come and help...i had seen those ladies helps any one or so - they do not sit inside the cabin...they come out and asks or ensure people are able to take care of pumping the gasoline without any issues Good People and good folks - nice .....i did not have any bad experience...so i am good. Anyone out there in Yelpland that loves shopping at Sam's? Generally, I find it a chore. Sometimes it can't be avoided so here I am today. What I like about Sam's: *Institutional size packaging of various products that I'm brand loyal to. *Their selections of import cheeses. *Beautiful orchids reasonably priced. Great when entertaining and you need a quick floral fix. *Wine selection is decent and labeled with companion foods/entrees. What I dislike about Sam's: *The long check - receipt line to leave the store. They always check your cart and number of items to make sure they match up because theft must be a terrible issue for Sam's. *Long check out lines with register lanes not open or manned. *You expect lower prices here, but certain items are not a deal. *Generally, not always, employees seem complacent. *Shopping here is a chore and much is due to the above issues. read more

We stopped here for gasoline only, and both times the lines were super long. Several customers would pump gas, be done, and socialize without moving their car to allow others to full up. Everything could improve. If you can deliver don't allow ordering. Paid for express delivery. Its should have arrived in 2 hours. That was yesterday. It's been an entire day and no update. No ability to cancel and no answer at the store. I know I can dispute the charge but i shouldn't have to. They should've cancelled, allow the customer to cancel or not allowed ordering. The shopping experience is fine until you get to a self check out and you want to purchase a bottle of wine and it takes 15 minutes of chasing down associates to try to get someone to scan your ID. Then I was met with a very rude associate who told me that my ID was invalid because it was vertical. I recently turned 21 years old and have not had the time to switch my ID. I do not know a single law any state that requires you to have a horizontal ID the day you turn 21 to purchase alcohol or else everybody's 21st birthday would be spent at the DMV. The lady told me she would let it go just this once after I stated that my date of birth was clearly visible on my drivers license. And all this treatment was after I waited a lot of time to even find an associate!! This is unacceptable. Sam's Club needs to address this issue by one having an associate present at self checkout lines during all business hours and not wandering off through the store. And secondly, Sam's Club needs to train its cashiers that someone over the age of 21 with a valid ID can purchase alcohol in the United States. This should be common sense. read more

Did our grocery shopping early morning after a long drive the day before. Called ahead and asked if they would let us spend the night and the nice lady that picked up the phone said it was ok as long as being far away from the door. There was a class A already there and we found a nice leveled spot. Spring break everybody is on the road this year and not even being a member of the "Good Sam Club" helped this time but thanks to Sam's Club (no pun intended) things worked out just fine, we are happy campers Great diesel price too read more

Pros: able to buy things in bulk, prices are fair sales can be crazy good prices. The food court is a steal. They are very fast for the most part in check out. You can use any credit card you wish for checkout (unlike Costco). Gas is the cheapest. Cons: often very busy. Selection is limited. Sales frequently seem far and few between. Must pay yearly membership fee to use. read more

Do all my large grocery shopping here. Facility is normally in order and clean. The restroom's definitely need more attention than they're given. My advice to Sam's club would be to get rid of the employees. Should automate the store and pass the savings on to the customer. I've not experienced one good interaction with a employee from this location, most have a terrible attitude. Most everything the employee does can be automated. read more

I recommend this store but please fix those damn pumps at the gas station. Every time I'm in line there's two or three pumps out and the attendant is no where to be found when someone has a problem. You push the button she never comes out the booth but I guess that doesn't work either. It's ridiculous the amount of time you have to wait to get gas. read more

This place is getting terrible. Every time you go to get gas, half the pumps are coned off so you can't use causing the lines to be long. Lat few times I went to get gas, my average wait time to pump has been 15-20 minutes. There is no reasoning for this. read more

This Sam's clubs has just about everything here. The have their own self checkout as well. However, There gas station hoes will not reach if you pull up the opposite side where your gas tank is located at. So make sure you pull up to the same side where your gas tank is on. It's not like the their competitor "Costco Gas Stations" their gas hoes reaches either way. read more

Besides being over crowded, and going to the concession stand only to find out there is a ten minute wait for an all beef hot dog, our experience wasn't the best but it wasn't the worse. The concession stand ran out of most of the items on their menu, there were people walking around without mask (coughing and sneezing by the way). First and foremost thank you Sam's for Sample Sunday's but I'm not thankful for the outrageous lines throughout the store. Holiday shopping in this store gives me a migraine but the samples help ease shopping anxiety. Most samples have great wholesale purchase (I.e, books for children and adults, clothes, home goods, blankets etc). All of which I absolutely adore. However, sitting in line for 20 minutes and then getting to the front of the line and having a cashier walk away to check a price for a customer after the transaction was complete was a complete nightmare. However what saved the night is the new Sam's Club app. My mother and I were able to scan all of our items, plug-in the credit card, and complete the purchase. We will be using this more often because the check-out process is always horrific. Overall this store deserves a C+. The samples in the store help ease hunger pains, the pizzas in the kitchen are a great way to end your shopping experience, and the Sam's Club app saves you so much time in the checkout line. Pitfalls the checkout process is ridiculously long and the large carts are hard to maneuver through the aisles due to the volume of people in the store. read more

It's hard to believe that Walmart helped so many families in the past during hurricanes and now they are putting families at risk of dying because they are allowing shoppers to come to their store without a mask! We are a family owned business 60 miles away and shop at a Sams weekly for our restaurant. Knowing that the staff really cares and wants to go out of their way to help for a customer is absolutely above wonderful! In this day when we can't even find employees at some establishments much less that care and take pride in serving others through their jobs it was gratifying to see that maybe America's work ethic has not totally gone down the drain! I've been a member of this store off and on for five years. They by far have the worst call in customer service. Tire department? They'll hang up on your calls and go about their business. Wanna talk to a Manager? You'll phone will be ringing till it hangs up on you. I can't wait for Costco! These guys, on picking up the phone are trash. read more

Ordered a safe online. Tentative delivery date was pushed back and changed the time of delivery to "sometime before 5"... they call us at 6 and say they'll be here between 830 and 9 pm. 9:20pm rolls around and they just show up, complaining about how they had a 12 hour day to my face... not my fault your bosses can't schedule this on time.. I open the safe and it's obvious this 250 pound safe was dropped, the wooden shelving inside was snapped and the corner was cracked. I asked for a refund based on their bad customer service and to buy new shelving for the safe... I already waited longer than expected, been awake longer than told and the safe dropped off is damaged and they told me they'll refund only if they pick it up. Told me between 9 and 12 pm they'll be here to pick it up. It's 3pm and they still aren't here. read more

Yay, I'm a fan only because they have self checkout and thankfully no one knows how to use them yet, so the lines are small. Can't stand the door lady. I don't think she knows how to count...why? Because I had three items in my cart and there was a line of about thirty people behind me and it took her about five minutes to look at my basket. The other thing that ticked me off was the way she fondled my new pillow. Yuck, who knows where her hands have been. I like the deals that shopping at these places bring, but nothing makes my blood boil more than paying to be a member, then have to wait in long lines to pay, and then on top of that get someone who can't count three items when you are trying to get out of the store. They were having a great deal on renewing your membership, so we did it. Had a scavenger hunt attached to it. No one knew what we were talking about when questioning where items were for it, also many of the items that were offered at sale price or coupons, were not available at our locations. If you have ever been to the savannah store or, god forbid, the wal mart next door then you understand what a difference being outside the city is. Holy run on sentence, batman! Anyway, this place is okay. It's a sam's that is clean and well merchandised. If you need 6 pounds of cream cheese or an 80 pound box of milkbones then this is the place to go in savannah. 3 stars for this store because the deals just aren't that great. For the average customer who is not a business owner, there are few advantages to shopping here. You can actually do much better with coupons at publix or kroger. I had new tires installed yesterday. I had to wait 5 hours and on top of that my car was returned with grease all over the steering wheel, inside door handle and center console. The man working on my car DID NOT take off his greasy & dirty gloves when moving my vehicle. I enclosed a photo of time in (1:09pm) and out ( 5:52pm) and a photo of some grease inside my car. I had to throw away my steering wheel cover because it was was full of grease. Next time I will go to a place that covers your seats with plastic and treats your vehicle with respect. read more

I ordered tires from this location that were to come in within 3-5 days. 10 days later no tires and they had to reorder them. 4 days after that they left a message stating that I needed to make an appointment to get them installed. They wouldn't even pick up the phone in the tire center and I was on hold for a half hour. This place does not pick up the phone so don't even try to call them. I would not recommend tires from this facility. It's not worth the hassle. read more

The gas station here is a joke. Went to fill up and it's one way in and one way out. No problem except that the pump hoses are not long enough to reach the other side of the vehicle. All the pumps on my vehicle gas tank side were full(left side) and all the others were not being used. There is absolutely no reason this station should be a one way in but if you try to pull up the wrong direction the attendant will make you move. I will not sit in line when half the pumps are open. Sams either buy longer hoses or change your one way in configuration. Reported this and I am still waiting for a reply. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for gas. Worst customer service of any Sams club I've dealt with. Dropped my car off for tires and was told someone would call me to pick up the car, nobody has, the tire shop is closed now. I've called four times to customer service, I guess they're hanging up on me, because the call drops after ringing for a few minutes but the store is open. I guess i don't get my car back today, be nice to have some communication. How can any store treat their customers like this? read more

Today I was shopping at Sam's Club in Pooler after ringing up my groceries I went to the deli to order two slices of meat lovers Pizza she told me to step to the side it would come out directly I passed by a gentleman in an electric scooter that had two boxes of pizza in his basket after a while the man try to get the attention after while the man tried to get the attention of one of the ladies working there he told the older lady he did not want those two pizzas that was in the Box he wanted to slices the lady came over grab the two boxes slap them on her counter open them up put two slices on a plate where a lady complained that she did not order plain cheese pizza put it on there and she use the same silver foil again then when it came to my turn she served me the pizza that I'd ordered from the pizza boxes that she took from the man from his electric scooter so now my pizza was cold I'm sure you can look at the footage of the camera how she slapped the slices on then she said to the other lady behind the young woman was very confused she ordered cheese and then she changed her mind and you could tell this lady is not suitable to work with customers with that attitude somebody selling me a food item that was given to somebody else and then taken away no thank you Sam's Club of Pooler I will go to Costco that was a Despicable transaction today read more

Do not be fooled by the "Taste of Sam's" offering. We visited the Sam's Club in Pooler specifically for the Taste of Sam's event. When I asked the woman working the table if I could taste the peppermint "bark," she curtly and dismissively said, "No. I'm not opening that right now." I was stunned, and I'm sure the look on my face conveyed as much. Rather than calling the event "Taste of Sam's," it should be called "Taste What the Woman at Sam's Feels Like Opening." Needless to say, we did not purchase the peppermint bark since we weren't able to taste it first. The ugly way the woman treated me certainly left me rethinking our membership. read more
