The receipt check line to leave Sam's.
    Laura P.

Anyone out there in Yelpland that loves shopping at Sam's? Generally, I find it a chore. Sometimes it can't be avoided so here I am today. What I like about Sam's: *Institutional size packaging of various products that I'm brand loyal to. *Their selections of import cheeses. *Beautiful orchids reasonably priced. Great when entertaining and you need a quick floral fix. *Wine selection is decent and labeled with companion foods/entrees. What I dislike about Sam's: *The long check - receipt line to leave the store. They always check your cart and number of items to make sure they match up because theft must be a terrible issue for Sam's. *Long check out lines with register lanes not open or manned. *You expect lower prices here, but certain items are not a deal. *Generally, not always, employees seem complacent. *Shopping here is a chore and much is due to the above issues.

We stopped here for gasoline only, and both times the lines were super long. Several customers would pump gas, be done, and socialize without moving their car to allow others to full up. I know this isn't Sams fault, but it was something that stuck out to me. Great gas prices and convenient to hotels, restaurants, and shopping!

Hi Everyone, As many…read moreof us know, Costco is a Warehouse retailer with an on-line Division that offers many more products, not available in store. In our experience, our Costco's Member service in Pooler GA is always outstanding. They are flexible in demonstrating their best efforts to help members enjoy a happy shopping experience. Yea, happy! Why? Is it their vast selection of quality items? Are there items always the least expensive? Is their Costco Anywhere VISA credit card the best credit card in your wallet? While all their facilities we have visited are clean, well stocked, very price competitive, and their Costco Anywhere VISA offers tremendous money saving benefits over many credit cards, in our opinion, all of these excellent benefits are not Costco's #1 customer benefit. So what is it, exactly? It is their people, plain and simple. Most are gracious, they will tell you the truth while sharing their personal product experience about products you're considering purchasing as they are also customers, just like you. In our opinion, and that of many others (What other retailer do you know who has received a extremely positive interview on Sixty Minutes, or "The Vipers of Corporation Reputation Shredding", for their excellent member experience, and for their promotion of their associates from within), deliver the best shopping experience in retail industry because they are most especially, compensated and promoted for doing so. How do I know? Because one of our sons worked for Costco to earn spending money while in college. Let me give you a real world example. An elderly gentleman had a "Depends Experience" while wearing none, in a Costco bathroom where our son worked as a Christmas hire. The stressed elderly gentleman asked another random Costco member in the bathroom to get a Costco employee because he was literally stuck in the bathroom stall. Hun...? Yea, you read that right. The helpful Costco member told a female Assistant Store Manager, who then assigned our son to help the member "stuck" in the Costco bathroom. Our son asked how he could help the member. The gentleman explained his medications' side effects had caused him to have are very large accident in the Costco bathroom stall. He continued that he was now stuck because although he did his best to clean up his mess, he now had no clean clothes to wear because his accident went everywhere. Our son, 19 years old at the time, first thought of his Grandfather's now infamous Burger King emergency and terrorised thought "What do, I do?" He then asked the elderly Costco member, "Do you have your member card and credit card?" The member puzzled replied, "Yes I do, but why?" Our son replied because if you tell me your underwear, pant, and shirt sizes, I will shop for those items for you, pay for them with your cards, bring a them back to you, so you can change. The elderly member replied, "Yes, yes, thank you so much for helping me." The rest of embarrassing event short, the elderly member was so grateful, he first drove home, showered, and returned to Costco within a couple of hours. He then found the Store Manager expressing how grateful he was for the helpful Costco associates fast thinking that helped him get out of that stall. Our son's reward? He had to finish cleaning and disinfecting the bathroom stall. Yea, I know, right! However, Costco hired 32 people that year for their Christmas rush. However, after Christmas passed Costco decided to only kept one. And no, they did not hire the elderly gentleman member, but if they had, that would've been hilarious! Yes, they kept our son, who took a year off to decide if perusing his degree was the right path for him, in his life. To be clear, although we love our son with all of our heart and soul, the point here, and in this review, is, all about Costco. They only kept one hire, while thanking, but then laying off 31 people. Why? Because their management has been trained to be customer centric! So hiring customer centric associates is their top priority. What does customer centric mean? It means, "It's all about you", their members. Because without you, there is no Costco, and they know it. They display their focus and gratitude in their actions in helping their members, everyday! That is why they are #1. In Sales? No, actually they're #3 in sales. But they are #1 in their chosen goal and in what is critical to their success, Customer Satisfaction. So plane and simple, it's Costco's people that are their #1 customer benefit. Together, they make all the difference to their members. That is the main reason why we, their members, shop there! Ah yea, and a word to the wise. As you age, if you don't want to find yourself at some point, in the same position as that elderly gentleman member, we highly recommend Depends to you, your Family and all of your friends which are located in Isle 36, section C. Enjoy!

We were planning on doing some serious grilling for Super Bowl last weekend (Gooooooooo BUUUUUUUCCCCS!), so we decided to take a peek a couple of weeks ago. PP is located across the way from Savannah Candy Kitchen. - TLC - There was only one staff member present. He was super nice and was very helpful. He explained the company's history and the different line of products they make. - The Goods - All items are made in their kitchens in TN and are hand mixed in small batches. They have pickles, Bloody Mary mixes, hot sauces, rubs, wing sauces and salsas. They also have a small selection at their cash counter of EXTREMELY hot sauces like one called Flatline. It's a combination of South Carolina Reaper, the Ghost pepper and 7 other sauces. Yeah, WHOA is right! You need to sign a waiver to sample it, so good luck! Salsas are refrigerated so you have to ask for assistance for those. Shipping of items available for US, Canada and International. They offer a military discount with presentation of valid ID. They have bulk purchase discounts like buy 10 and get 3 free for equal or lesser value or buy 5 and get 1 free. - Purchase - We ended up buying a coffee based rub and used it for the dry ribs last weekend and they turned out pretty tasty. The pricing is on the higher end ($10.95 for 6.1 oz), but it's always fun to taste what fun flavor combinations others come up with! - COVID-19 Observations - Staff member was wearing a mask AND gloves. Spice is LIFE (!) and PP has plenty of it! Stay safe, Friends!

Secondly, the parking lot feels a bit compressed based on the overall size of the club, so I would advise taking the first space you see because they won't be much available upfront. Other than that, this was a pretty standard experience with about a 40 minute car door to car door timeframe to pick up a couple of items. I really wish they could figure out the log jam of a cashier line that consistently backs up into the front section of the store. But that may just be a necessary evil when you are giving consumers great prices on massive amounts of products.
