Then she asked for a tip before I even got the massage. I gave $5 and she said "wow that's not very much" in mandarin. Then she proceeded to give me the massage which just felt like she was rubbing me with oil. She said she was going to use a particular oil that was more expensive and kept saying it's a special oil and she only uses it on special guests. Then asked for more tip at the end. I was uncomfortable the entire time given the social interaction with her and the massage was terrible. I was confused since she did not mention my total being $86.40 prior to charging me, so I asked and she said it was for tax so I just noted that as red flag number 1 and went on about my massage since I had already paid. I get back and get undressed and lay down and told her that I just wanted my back to be worked on and she seemed confused but then said ok and mentioned something about my feet and I asked her if a feet massage was included? She paused and said uhhhh yeah, since she didn't seem too sure I asked again because I didn't want to be hit with an extra charge. I asked so I won't be charged extra for a feet massage because it's included in the $86.40 I already paid, and she said yes so I said okay then I'll also get that. She worked on my back and I could definitely understand the previous reviews about her not using enough lotion, it didn't bother me much but I could see how someone could be uncomfortable. Then she finished working on my back and instructed me to turn around so that she could work on my feet. I turned around and as working on my feet it did feel pretty good so I was starting to doze off. Idk if she saw me dozing off or if she was distracted by something else but I gently wake up and feel her not even working on my feet just rubbing my skin with the same amount of force you would rub a newborn with, no none. I tried to move to give her some cues that I am still up and feel her and she would continue to apply more pressure to my feet but then would stop as soon as I stopped moving. I was highly confused as to why she wasn't moving or massaging, and the I heard the timer go off. So I'm not 100% sure but my guess is that she was waiting out the timer. The timer goes off and I open my eyes as she finishing so she's knows that I am very much still up. She instructed me to get dress and to meet her outside. I get outside to finish signing my receipt to add tip, because of how she barley massaged my feet and the fact that she did not tell me how much I was paying before I actually paid, I wanted to make my total $90 so I left a $3.60 tip. This woman was staring me down as I'm filling out the receipt which made me very uncomfortable. Normally I'm really good at tipping and will tip between $10-$20 at least because I understand that massaging is a very physical job and requires much physical labor for the satisfaction of one customer. But after leaving that place I'm glad I only gave her $3.60. I finishing writing the tip and total on the receipt, I said thank you, and as I'm about to walk out she said hold on how much? She looks at the receipt and said only $3. I said yes I wanted to even out my total so I made it $90. She then said you're only giving me a $3 tip, so I reiterated yes I wanted to make my total $90. She then looks at me crazy up and down and the ok goodbye and I ok thank you goodbye. Overall my experience could've gone a lot better, and her customer service skills need to improve. I would recommend going there for a decent experience. I would go back to give it a second chance but after the look she gave me I don't think I'm welcomed back lol.

I have been going to this place for over 2 years. I get messages often compared to the average…read moreperson. I do 1-2x a week depending on how stressful the week was. I also suffer from chronic migraines. After having horrible migraine attacks my muscles in my shoulders & upper back have spasmed a lot which causes them to hurt so I get deep tissue messages for 60-90min just focusing on that part so the muscles will loosen up and I will have a break from pain. Coco who works there is a horrible person. She thinks she has figured out America and what we all like or think. She used to massage me and I tip her and any others I have $10 which is good especially when I frequent often. $5 tip is also good in my opinion as well. Times are hard and you don't know how hard someone worked or what they had to do to get that money to frequent your business so you should be grateful! Instead Coco feels entitled to the $10! She will laugh, fake compliment you, all to get you to tip her that $10 min in her mind thinking you don't know what she is doing. I know I am grateful when I have a good masseuse so when they work hard and I feel a big difference in how I feel i tip them well to show my appreciation! if I was rich I would tip whatever they wanted but I am not and I try to tip well based on work done. She did not know of this or appreciate all the times I tipped her $10 & I didn't have to! She embarrassed me one too many times. She always wants to take you as a client when you come in but then dictate to you what you should do not knowing what your financial situation is. Mind you I had been tipping min $10 for 1hr massage always! Except for that one time. I would also take my mother and recommend others there. So when she treated me like that and had the audacity to call me a "bad tipper" it was so shameful of her character and showed how ungrateful and fake she is. You would think after being a long time customer she would be more respectful and appreciative of me coming back! Coco will also try to up-sell you without you realizing. She will suggest something, you tell her no and she acts as if she understood you but then do what you said you did not want and leave you stuck paying for something you did not want in the first place! The manager woman (Asian, dark hair, round face 40-50yrs old) is cold and when Coco does her bs, she will not side with you but rather speak in Chinese with her and then talk down to you. I am not a violent or angry person either. I'm very laid back and happy. That is why she got so many chances to try and embarrass me as well as pretty much extort very high tips! When I go to get a massage, I am there because I really need it! I don't like to talk during my massage (she talks a lot if you let her). I usually show the person who speaks English the best what I need and if possible to the masseuse on their body because l don't want a full body massage but most focus on upper back, traps, shoulders, neck, and head! Also the pressure and methods used to kneed the muscles is key (hence being called deep tissue). So for me if after all my explanations you barely tackle my tight muscles then why do you expect I tip you $10? I wish I could get $10 every hour for 8hrs everyday for barely trying. $80 a day and $320 a month min. That is not bad to me during these financially hard times for many during the pandemic or am I wrong? I got the special one hour foot massage for $30...it was generally what you'd expect from the typical Asian foot massage places: a lovely foot soak in warm water while getting a bit of a chair massage on arms, shoulders, legs, etc...then a luxurious and relaxing foot massage. I think I was lucky to get Jack, he was amazing, definitely one of the best foot massages I have ever gotten (and I have had many.) I'll be planning this into every trip to Philly from now on!
