I was surprised to see such an eclectic boutique like this in such a small town, but it was a very pleasant surprise and I found a few other similar, unique shops in the area, too, so I was geeked about that. It was definitely more akin to funky boutiques and gift shops that usually dot Melrose Ave, but I was obviously happy to find such a treasure in downtown Calhoun. I found some of the the cutest tops and dresses here. I noted that this particular shop only carried limited numbers of each design and most clothing items didn't come in several sizes (or multiple items in different sizes, either), probably as a way to ideally keep the styles varied and more unique, not typical cookie cutter styles often sold in mass market quantities in department stores or shopping malls. In other words, this wasn't Banana Republic, if you know what I mean. Not everyone around town will be wearing the same identical outfit when boutiques actually carry only select numbers of each piece. The store layout, its merchandise, price point, and customer service all reminded me of a more niche boutique that you see in larger cities, like LA or Chicago. All of the labels were from clothing companies that I hadn't seen before and most seemed to be Made in the USA, too. I have to say, I liked that a lot. I definitely thought the skirts, dresses, tops and jackets seemed more upmarket in comparison to what I would've thought before stepping into this quiet little boutique. Don't judge a book by its cover because the unassuming facade couldn't have belied what treasures were behind the front door more than it did. Other than clothing, I found a bunch of cute handbags and custom jewelry. The salespeople were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I wound up picking up some jewelry that I couldn't pass up and it was on sale (most of the downtown stores ran a Pre-Easter sale that weekend), so it didn't cost that much, either. Honestly, I regret not picking up a cute lace dress that I saw, too, but that's my mistake in not picking it up before it sold out. Bummer. Overall, excellent attention to customer service and great selection. I

I came upon this boutique by chance and stopped in on a whim after the shop was recommended to me by another store owner downtown. Actually, I'd passed by this charming little boutique several times and hadn't noticed that it's a boutique because it's actually located inside a converted old home in a combination residential/business area on a shady, tree-lined side street. Once I walked inside, I found so many cute things that I didn't know what to look at first, but I immediately spied a bunch of cute Paula Deen kitchenware/decor I tucked into one corner and I immediately made a beeline towards it. Elsewhere, my husband I found a big clearance/sale section located in another room and tons of eclectic decor items, including candles, pillows, pottery, glassware, some vintage pieces, plus racks of clothing and accessories and so much more. Every room of this old home was chock full of unique wares (don't think about not hitting the second floor-there's even more in store upstairs). Don't forget to stop in the bathroom, too, because most of the fragrances, lotions, cosmetics, and candles are in there! It smelled so good, it almost felt like a spa. Truthfully, I could have spent a fortune in here, though I managed to curb my inner shopaholic and pare down my purchases to a few items, including some Paula Deen pottery and a carved wood decorative knock knack. While some things were typical Chinese imported goods, I actually found plenty of Made in USA merchandise, including handmade box candles, pottery and accessories, which I was pleased to see. There was an Easter Egg scavenger hunt sale going on here (several downtown retailers participated- it was the week of Easter), so I grabbed a plastic Easter egg out of a bag to find out my store discount, which was 30% off my total purchase, so that was great. I signed up for their email list, too, so now I get notifications on special promotional events and sales. Customer service here was excellent, too. Overall, a great shopping experience.

When you first walk in, there are women's clothes to the right and men's to the left. All by size, and the sizes are actually in there! Further back, there are dresses, jackets, wedding dresses!! lol. And then there is a 2nd section in the back of the store with shoes, purses, home and kitchen and miscellaneous. Its all very organized and not as dusty as some places I've been to. They have a bathroom and 2 dressing rooms. Cons. It gets hot. I was here during the day and since there are very big windows instead of walls, the sun beats in. Selection is somewhat limited, I saw some old navy, and mostly stuff that correlates to the outlet mall down the street. Most of the clothes are a little dated. Sometimes the prices are very hard to find. They also have a color tag system in which the color tags are on sale for 2 weeks. The cashier said they rotate these so they know how long something has been there. I found a few good steals, too bad they weren't the colors that were on sale. ( I know some thrift stores change the color every day ) Overall, I'd be back if I were in the area because it was easy to navigate, the clothes were not strewn around on the floor, organization, and less dust than other thrift stores.

My husband and I went to look for blue jeans for him. Of course, I was going to look around myself. We were not greeted as we walked in. FIVE employees on sales floor and not one asked if we needed any help. They would just whisper to one another and giggle and continue acting busy. The store is also simply too small for everything they are trying to shove in there. Oh, and if your needing to try on something.... forget it. You have to hunt down an associate and ask for a changing room, then get treated like you just ruined their whole day.

You can negotiate the price but so far when they've thrown a price at me I was happy to pay what they asked. They sell comic books, games, puzzles, DVDs and more. The shop is off Allatoona Gateway (used to be Glade Road) - behind Taco Bell, Pizza Hut & KFC. Plenty of parking - the shopping center is not usually busy. The owners are friendly, fun and helpful.

I scored this 1980's Minolta book in almost perfect condition for less than $5.

They do have a lot of incoming items every week so I encourage everyone to go back frequently. The folks there are helpful and will hand you a basket and help you bring your books to the front when you are ready to check out. The only thing I didn't like was the baked goods. I purchased a sourdough. It had caraway which is similar to rye and I do not like rye. I did however like the croissants I purchased but on the flip side the five cookies were meh. So more was bad than good. The other vendors I purchased from were wonderful. Eggs, bone-in pork chops, ground beef , dog treats (chicken claws) three types of greens, arugula, Bibb and romaine, and a frozen chicken were some of the things I purchased. I did notice only one vendor had fruit, strawberries, which sold out quickly. The next time I go I hope there is more to choose from. I will definitely return.

I looked around quite a bit, saw a few unique things at both high and lower end prices and plenty of run of the mill stuff that I could easily get at any TJ Maxx, Marshall's or even Home Goods, although not as much funky or hard to find items as I would've liked. Still, the store did have a few things I truly liked, but lack of customer service and ridiculous markups on mundane pieces (candles, vases, fragrances) that I can get anyplace else at low prices led to my walking out empty-handed, despite wanting the beautiful dragonfly art that I saw. As I headed out the door, I still elicited no response from the lady behind the counter or anyone else. No "goodbye, have a good day, stop in again," nada. It definitely felt odd and slightly unwelcoming. Oh well. I'd probably give them another chance in the future.

I wanted to pick up a new harmonica and saw this store while shopping. I immediately had to look. I did get a new harmonica and a lot of information along the way. The selection really was incredible. The owner has everything. They sell new and refurbished equipment (guitars, drums, bass, banjos, harmonicas, sheet music, speakers, pics, stands, wah-wahs, keyboards, etc), accessories, music memorabilia, and they offer lessons in the back. I got to chatting with the owner (an amazing and interesting guy) and he showed me and my wife the back room of the store, more like his personal man cave/lounge/hangout. It was decked out with music and wrestling memorabilia. I came to find out he's also a wrestling fan (yippee) and he chatted awhile. The place is great, prices are good, selection is amazing, and the experience was worth the cost of the harmonica. Since I have family in the area, we will be back soon and I'll definitely drop in again. This place is a bonafide treasure.
