When it was time choose a wedding photo-videographer, Cotton Love Studios came highly recommended by other couples who have used Cotton Love in the past. After browsing their work, we knew they would be perfect. Even before we officially booked them, my fiancé and I already got a sense of how easy it would be to work with Ryan and his team. Hiring a videographer for a wedding can be difficult. However, once we stumbled upon Cotton Love's wedding highlight films - we knew that we didn't to look any further! Before we had even committed to hiring Cotton Love to film our wedding, Ryan wanted to sit down and talk with us about our vision for our wedding and just get to know us. This was definitely not necessary, but we really appreciated it a lot. Ryan was very good with staying in touch with us prior to the wedding. On the wedding day, Ryan and his team were so awesome to work with! We did not realize how important it was to have fun and understanding vendors at a wedding until we experienced it for ourselves. Ryan was very good at being "non-invasive" throughout the wedding day, getting most of his shots candidly. Ryan and his team worked very well with our other vendors (photographers, wedding coordinators, etc.) As a result, our portrait time was very seamless between photography and videography. We really appreciated this, as many of our friends have talked about how their wedding videographer's wanted so many staged shots, which really took away from relishing in the special moments throughout the wedding day. After the wedding, Ryan was very good at keeping us in the loop regarding the editing process and always promptly responded to my questions/concerns via e-mail. I cannot stress it enough how accommodating Ryan was throughout the whole editing process. He honored all of our requests regarding certain clips we wanted to include, etc. Furthermore, we really appreciated how Ryan did not settle or compromise on the final highlight film. He went through three separate edits until he finally arrived at a finished product that met his standard - and surpassed ours! We had given Ryan a song recommendation for the highlight film, which he tried to make work but he did not believe it truly encapsulated our day. We really appreciated that he was willing to make the effort regarding our requests, but in the end we totally agree with the route he took for the song selection. All in all, we cannot recommend Cotton Love enough! Absolutely loved working with Ryan for our small, pandemic wedding. He was able to capture all of the moments that we wanted to share with our families, who couldn't be there with us. He was super easy to communicate with (we had originally hired someone else who was the WORST about getting back to us, and when I reached out to Ryan he was AMAZING on the phone and I knew right away that we had to switch to him). On the day, he was early and ready to roll right away. His partner Jessica (who also happens to be his fiancée, congrats!) was also lovely and it was nice to have a female touch to help me here and there while I was getting dressed. Horrible experience. Ruined our wedding video. It would've been better buying a couple of cameras and giving them to some 5 year olds. These guys came to our wedding unprepared. All they cared about is getting shots for a 5 minute video. When you look at the longer version, all details of the wedding is missing. Camera is shaking. They messed up the slideshow during the wedding. They missed the entire cocktail hour, they couldn't get good shots during the ballroom entrance or with any of the events during the party. I think of you care about your wedding video being the memory that will make you relive this day every time you watch it, then keep shopping around. read more

Finding the perfect photographer for your engagement session/wedding day is no easy task. There are many talented photographers out there but everyone's style is different and I had a pretty good idea of what I wished for my engagement/wedding so it took a little bit of searching before I came across the work of Ryan Tiet at Cotton Love Studios. A Facebook friend of my husband's had recently gotten married and posted a wedding photo of Ryan's which captured my attention. After finding out the photographer was Ryan, I looked through his work on Cotton Love Studios's website and loved everything that I saw. Ryan's photography looks effortless, natural, bright, and he captures great small moments that you wouldn't have noticed. Ryan was quick to respond when I emailed an inquiry about his services. He's very professional and friendly to work with which helped a lot when my husband and I were shy or awkward at posing for photos. I was very glad to find out he was available to do our engagement session and we picked 2 locations in LA which unfortunately ended up being a little far from each other (due to LA traffic) but Ryan made sure we got all the shots that we wanted even though we went over time for our session. It was such a pleasure working with Cotton Love Studios on our wedding. They provided both photography and videography coverage for our big day. The whole team was professional and personable. I felt so comfortable with them. It was as if we were working with friends. Their team is friendly and responsive when it comes to communication which is essential when you are planning a wedding. They provided a same-day edit video as well as photobooth services for a wedding that I coordinated, and their professionalism, quick turn-around time, flexibility, communication and quality of work is unparalleled. They were able to capture all the essential moments of the wedding without getting in the way or obstructing the view of the guests. The wedding was able to remain authentic and not become what can sometimes be a movie production with some other videographers. When the same-day edit was projected on the screen for the guests during the reception, there were tears and laughter; and the bride and groom smiled happily at one another as the touching vows they made during the afternoon were replayed right in front of them. They capture all the important moments and it is priceless. I extremely like the photo booths because you can take funny pictures and we drop our notes and give to the bride and groom as the gifts. We hired Cotton Love to as our wedding photographers for our wedding in August 2011. They did a wonderful job meeting with us, and coordinating with our wedding coordinators the day of the wedding. I believe we were one of their first jobs, so as a result we were really lucky to receive a really good rate in contrast to many of the photographers in the Los Angeles Area. They did a wonderful job shooting the wedding the day of the wedding and we loved the pictures. I believe there could have been a stronger presence and sense of direction during some of the pictures, but I feel that was mostly contributed to our wedding being one of the first weddings. Overall, they were wonderful to work with, and were responsive to any emails and questions I had.
