    Grilled shrimp dinner
    Keisha M.

Visiting Alabama for the weekend with a group of friends. We all had the taste for seafood. The restaurant is located just off the highway in a gravel parking lot with lots of advertising signs lining the exterior of the building. Thanks for the GPS or we would have passed it. Inside is one open area with basic wooden tables and chairs. We were seated right away. Waitress said it was exceptionally slow evening. Service was excellent as she was attentive ensuring we were ok. Their menu had a nice variety for everyone more than what's posted on Yelp. Sorry, I didn't take an updated picture of it. Gulf Shrimp looked and tasted like regular shrimps from the grocery store. Nothing spectacular. Baked potato was good. Surprised they gave artificial whipped butter tho instead of real butter. Hush puppies were ok. One commented Mac n cheese wasn't that great but everything else was. Another commented the pasta was very flavorful but a bit watery and noodles overcooked. We didn't have any adult beverages so can't comment on it. Younger one had an ice cream sundae and said it was very good. Price was reasonable as well. We'll consider going back when in the area again. Recommend trying especially the catfish.

POPULAR Local restaurant and I know why!!! Service is stellar, the young Ladies were patient and kind, one even went made a new batch of coleslaw so I could have some. Ambience was family style and welcoming. Everyone was friendly. Fish was good, fried as request, you know ya girl likes her fish fried hard. We also ordered shrimp and grits, my guy said they were good and rich, he's from Louisiana he has standards lol. Almost forgot the gator bites.. I had pictures so I remembered lol. Delicious. Seasoned and fried perfectly. Not to hard, not too soft, perfect. We'd definitely circle the block if we found ourselves in the area again

    Shrimp poboy!

The food was excellent! Freshest shrimp around by far. The batter was super crispy and not greasy. The service was great, pretty quick on a busy night. Will definitely visit again! Would recommend either the shrimp poboy or shrimp plate. Liked the alligator appetizer but the rest of my party didn't much. Tasty tuna dip too. It was a bit loud for ambiance but not unbearable. Can't wait to return!

First time myself eating here, over all good, staff friendly and food price fair. Now to my taste hamburger steak was a little dry but that my taste maybe fine for others but I did order it with out gravy. 2 adults and kid cost about $45.00 meals and app and drinks.

Excellent food and atmosphere extra bonus not far from home. We don't have to drive 45 minutes for good fresh seafood. Super nice people.

Ordered Mahi MahI then the server came back and said they were out. I said I would take the Tilapia instead so she said do you want the steam rice and broccoli that came with the Mahi Mahi. Since it took awhile for a server to take our order in the first place and I no longer had a menu so no idea of what other choices I had, to make it easy, I said yes. They charged me extra for the broccoli. It might have been a good idea to let me know that before suggesting it. My husband had the Lasagna. It was just ok as well. Service all the way around was somewhat slow. Food was not worth the price paid. Definitely won't be back.

Seems like they were definitely understaffed but nonetheless the service was still great! Food was amazing. I highly recommend ordering the crab claws with butter and the boudin balls ! For my entree I got the shrimp Alfredo and the shrimp was cooked to perfection! I also tried my mother's steak on the surf and turf and it was great as well. The prices in generally are pretty great for the serving size. I'll definitely be back!

The supermarket chain did decline for a few years there, but finally they did a turnaround and started coming back to their former glory. The best part of Winn-Dixie's turnaround was in their meat department. First, for a supermarket that proudly called itself the "Beef People," Winn-Dixie lost track of their vision and started selling cheaper grades of meat. Their beef went from USDA Choice to simply USDA Inspected. If you don't know, USDA Choice is a superior grade, second to Prime, and USDA Inspected is almost always a terrible piece of meat. I guess Winn-Dixie finally realized the error of their ways and put their focus on USDA Choice cuts of beef. They still have those cheap USDA Inspected, but those are the less focused. Kudos to Winn-Dixie for this turnaround and I would definitely recommend this particular location of Winn-Dixie.

When customers are not buying the smaller 2-3 pound offering they do not put out Family Packs until they sell the smaller offering. The issue is they have sold these BOGO for $6.99/pound or for $4.99/pound forcing you to pay more per pound if you want their chicken breast. The older Hispanic gentleman working the meat department in the mornings got defensive and nasty with me when I questioned it. He also mentioned that they were getting a truck in that day (Wednesday) and we could come back... as of that Friday no Family Packs and limited 2-3 pound offering for $4.99/pound... going forward we will buy all our chicken breasts at Sam's Club for $2.77/pound as it is always available and consistent.
