This is by far one of the worst companies/vendors I have ever had the experience of working with. I placed an order on February 15th and was positioned a 3 week lead time for my order. I did not receive anything until April 19th, over 2 months later, after multiple attempts to follow up and just got ignored. Not only was the job completed significantly later than what I was told it would be, I received an incomplete delivery (I ordered 250 cards and received only 50). I immediately sent an email to to the team regarding this and was told it would be resolved immediately and that a new shipment would be fulfilled within a couple days. A couple days turned into a week, a week turned into a couple weeks, and after sending 5 emails to simply check-in on what is going on, I have learned that like many who have worked with Cotton Paperie, they just ghost you and leave you hanging. I've filed a chargeback with my bank and warn anyone considering working with them to look elsewhere. It's a shame businesses who operate this unprofessionally are still operational. read more

This is the second time that we have used CottonPaperie for business cards. They do an absolutely beautiful job. Larissa did a great job of designing new cards after our logo change, and then didn't hesitate to make suggestions and changes to her initial designs. Once the design was approved, Chavvon made sure that the cards came out perfectly, even re-running the press because he wasn't satisfied with the initial outcome. The business cards took a little bit longer than the typical company, but they were absolutely worth the wait! read more

This is my second complaint with this company.... ALWAYS full of excuses. Never try to amend issues properly. Me: "Hello, I need to place a 100 qty. business card order for my client but she needs these for an event Valentines Day, is that doable with your current workload?" Cotton Paper: "Good afternoon Kayla. We can make that timeline with no problems." *cards arrive late, I complain* Cotton Paperie: "I looked through all of our emails and none of them say the cards need to arrive on Feb 13th. We don't know if the event is in the morning, evening, etc. We marked these as due on Feb 14th." Ok, I guess technically I should have specified I needed them BEFORE the 14th so we had them day of...but seriously just use common sense. EDIT: after receiving the cards that are now late and NOT LEGIBLE, I asked for a refund and received this message: "You've been talking to me crazy all day and I'm about at the end of being nice. So here you go. We printed this card 100% to your specs. You specified the following: 100 qty. Pistachio paper with white letterpressed ink on front soft white paper with gray letterpressed ink on back It's not up to us to ensure legibility. That's your job as the designer and you never asked for our opinion. We print black on black, white on white and cream on cream all day long so printing white on pistachio looks perfectly fine in our opinion. We love the cards. We won't be issuing a refund. We printed 100% to your specs. Now if you want to act civilized and ask for a reprint with some changes to make your client happy then we can talk." So I dropped my 2 star down to 1. Extremely disappointed in Cottonpaperie. People need to be made aware of this company and how they handle business. Came across them searching for letterpress business cards. Their work looked outstanding online, exactly what I was after. After doing some research I noticed there was quite a few negative comments and reviews online about orders not being fulfilled, or very long wait times with poor customer service and communication. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and contact them before placing an order online. I got through to someone and explained what I wanted with what exact materials based off their website options. They assured me with what I wanted and the type of paper it was going to be 4 weeks, but could be around 3 weeks if I got order in asap. So I went ahead and placed the order online and paid in full. When it was coming up to the 4 week mark I never heard anything about my art, proofs or any sort of confirmation. I managed to get hold of someone and they told me everything was still on the go ahead for my deadline, week later nothing, no email, no updates. I tried calling multiple times and eventually got through to someone. He found the order and told me to expect a shipping notification any day. Well, week later and nothing. No email, no contact and not even a proof email. Now they are not responding to me, just like the other negative reviews. Im really disappointed as I fell right into the trap I was concerned about, if they had been open and honest from the start without the lies there wouldn't of been issue. Now I've wasted all this time for business cards that were obviously never going to come. I'm a new business trying to launch properly and this is just another huge waste of time. Another huge red flag is they have been deleting any negative comments from customers off their instagram, and have now turned off any commenting on their posts. My experience in buying custom business cards from this company was poor. I paid for 250 cards. I received only about 75, many of which were damaged. When I contacted support on this issue, the owner stated that despite me paying for 250 cards, I approved the proof for 100- so it was my mistake. He never acknowledged or apologized for the damaged products, but said that he'd send the rest out. Overall, their customer service is defensive and poor. This is not the refined, premium service that it appears to be. Buyer beware. read more

I am a customer of Cotton Paperie. On December 4, 2017 after reviewing card samples I decided to proceed forward with an order consisting of 100 business cards gold foiled edge, 1-sided gold print with my logo. Total Cost with design would be $210.00 due immediately before processing. I paid in full $210.00 On December 4, 2017. I received my proof December 15, 2017 (11-days later). After reviewing the proofs I decided to make additional changes to the cards, I decided to do 2-sided gold print instead of 1 side. I was told in order to do that it would cost an additional $42 making my purchase a total of $252.00. Again, I paid in full the same day. After patiently waiting for my order I realized 20-days passed and I still haven't received the 100 cards in the mail. I emailed Chavvon on January 4, 2018 to follow up on my order, (3-days days later) December 7, 2018 I received this response. "Your cards were scheduled for production last week but we're running a few days behind. I expect them to ship around Tues/Wed!" Again, I waited patiently and still no business cards received. I email Chavvon again January 19, 2018 (12-days later) regarding the business card, no response. So at this point I call, Chavvon answers the phone and states "Due to the storms on the East Coast the paper order was delayed, as an inconvenience to you we will double your order". Again, being patient and understanding, I said ok! FINALLY, I received my cards on January 30, 2018 (57-days later)"my order arrived. To my surprise after opening a beautifully wrapped box the business cards were printed on regular thin craft paper nothing like the sample cards provided to me. I then called Chavvon to voice my concern, angry at this point after having to wait so long for paper printed cards not meant to be business cards. I explained to him, If I had known the specially order cards would be printed on craft paper I would not have order them at all, but because of the sample cards provided I decided to follow through with my order. He's states "Well if you want your cards to be the thickness of the sample cards, we will have to glue pieces of paper together to make them that thick and that's a custom job, but will be happy to credit your account, but you will have to pay an additional $135 for us to customize the cards that way" He said, "We can print them on white card stock at no extra cost, but the pink paper you requested would be more expensive." Meaning my total charges for 100 business cards would be $387.00. And, to be honest I actually considered moving forward with it. I realize my business at this point has been placed on hold for 57-days for special cards I thought would be similar to the sample cards provided. No! I asked if I could please get a refund of my purchase. He said yes, but you would have to send back the cards and we will refund the money. After thinking about ways to make this order better, thinking maybe I could glue the cards myself making the 200 cards back to 100 cards. I decided to ship the cards back paying my own shipping and handling 8-days later February 7, 2018. I emailed Chavvon again letting him know the cards were in the mail. He asked me to please provide the shipping information. Again I did exactly what was requested. He received the cards on February 13, 2018 he send me an email stating he received the cards February 12, 2018 and the refund would take 3-4 business days for processing. Today, February 22, 2018 I have yet to see my refund, it has been 80-days later from the beginning of my order and am still left without cards and my money. I don't know why, or what's going on but I'm completely in shock with my experience and actually thinking about seeking legal advice or reporting to the Better Business Bureau. I am officially in love with Cotton Paperie. From the "Our Story" on their website, you can learn that Chavvon and Larissa are a husband and wife team who started in photography and have expanded their business into stationary. (I actually didn't know that until now, and I just found a picture of Chavvon after being in communication with him for weeks--the power of the interwebs!) To me, one of the best things about Chavvon were his timely responses to all my email questions. I am in San Antonio, and Chavvon is in Dallas. We never met. I followed the ordering instructions on the Cotton Paperie website, and what do you know, following instructions pays off! Cotton Paperie seriously makes ordering wedding stationary a breeze. I am not sure what kind of bride you would classify me as--I am very picky, I know what I like, I want things to be beautiful, and I want a good deal (maybe that's every bride?). When it came to my invitations, trust me, I did the leg work. I researched stationers online, on Etsy, and even compared to the prices of my wedding coordinator's regular paper vendor in San Antonio, Cotton Paperie's prices were competitive. I chose Cotton Paperie as my letterpress vendor based not only on their pricing but also on their ability to meet my deadline, the fact that even in the beginning bid stages Chavvon was in constant communication with me, and most importantly because of the beautiful work displayed on their website. Bonus: Chavvon prioritized my invitations because of my pressing mail by date without a rush charge, and I was able to take advantage of a promotion they were running which upgraded my paper to a thicker stock. Fortunately, Chavvon Smith of Cotton Paperie helped me out. I told him that I wanted styled custom business cards letterpressed and I needed only a few but my budget was tight. Breaking his own rules and policies, he arranged a really nice deal with me because I was a poor college student. He got me a great deal with good business cards which people love and I do as well. You can't really meet personally with him but I did all my business over the phone. I recommend you call and see what quote he can give you. Absolutely horrible customer service and horrible printing!! Honestly have never been treated so poorly and have NEVER ever seen such sloppy print work in over 20+ years of being in business. Chavvon made promise after promise and delivered the worst looking business cards I've ever seen (see below). Wasted over $600+ on a 2-foil card on their supposed premium stock. The printing speaks for itself, very poor quality, off center, illegible, sloppy sloppy sloppy, and the cards felt like a cheap cardboard. As a real estate attorney and agent, and business owner for over 2 decades, I have never seen such a crappy product as delivered by Cotton Paperie, and the service was equal to the print quality. I think the quality of their product is quite good, but their business practices and policies are horrendous. I paid ~$100 for rush service (5 business days) and overnight shipping because I needed the cards for a conference that I was traveling to in 6 days. I received the cards right on time as promised, but unfortunately they were the wrong cards. They had sent the wrong version to print. They were very clear on the phone and over email that they only send your final approved version to print, but somehow they mixed up the files and sent an early version that I never approved to print. I was forced to use the wrong cards that I received that I didn't like because the conference was starting and it was too late to get them reprinted. While this was incredibly frustrating, I understand that mistakes happen and emailed Chavvon and Larissa, expecting them to either refund my money entirely, or at least reprint the cards correctly and refund my rush fee and overnight shipping fee. They refused to do either, and directed me to some fine print that states that even in the event of THEIR MISTAKE, they don't have to refund anything. The only option they offered me was to reprint the cards, but they wouldn't even refund the rush or shipping charges that I incurred for no reason. Obviously, I would have never have been charged rush fees or overnight shipping fees, if I wasn't in need of the correct cards in 6 days. They didn't care. I'm a small business owner and can not fathom making my clients incur such significant charges due to my own mistake. This is a horrendous way to do business. I am getting married in May. I always thought that people that made a big fuss about invitations were crazy. I did not want to spend a lot of money but I did want something that reflected us. We hesitantly reached out to cotton paperie but believed they would be well outside of our budget. But they weren't Their pricing is incredibly reasonable and they create invitations that are works of art. Larissa was our designer and she really worked with us and listened to us. We requested an invitation based off of a photograph of the flatiron building we have in our apartment. As a personal touch, we asked for ganesh to be hidden in our invitation. Larissa created an absolutely gorgeous design. The design was stunning. We just received our invitations in the mail and I have to say that the end product was just fantastic and far exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for everything! After attempting to work with various people oversees,(the level of frustration increasing as clear communication seemed impossible even with visual directions), it felt like coming home when I contacted Cotton Paperie for my latest project. I decided to go with Cotton Paperie instead of local letterpress printers because they have received raving reviews, so it was an easy choice for me. I reached out to them for a quote on business cards and the response was quick, but a little pricier than I wanted to spend. Chavvon offered me a ten percent discount if I ordered within 24 hours, so I was very happy about that and decided to order. I had read all the information on their website about the letterpress process, so I was very much prepared to wait the three week turnaround time they needed. Three weeks had gone by and I hadn't received any communication about the status or any shipping details. A few days past the three week period, I decided to email Chavvon to find out what the status was. He replied that day that they were behind schedule due to paper delivery problems because of Hurricane Sandy (they get their paper from New York). He said they would ship Tuesday or Wednesday (I had emailed on Monday). I understood the problems and was fine with the delay, since natural disasters are beyond anyone's control. Tuesday went by and then Wednesday went by but no communication and no order received. I decided I would give the rest of the week and also the following Monday, and then if I hadn't received the cards or some communication, I would reach out to Chavvon on Tuesday. No order or status update occurred, so I reached out to him again on Tuesday morning. I finally received an email late Tuesday afternoon saying that the order would arrive via UPS on Friday. I was a bit annoyed by this because I was going out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday and nobody would be at my house to receive the order, so I had to make arrangements to have somebody come to my home to make sure to receive the order. Now again, I am very understanding about natural disasters or things that occur that cannot be controlled. My issue with this experience was in the lack of communication on the part of Cotton Paperie when it was clear that my order would be nearly two weeks late. All that was needed was to keep me in the loop and let me know a status update via email and this review would be a very different review. That being said...wow, these cards are absolutely stunningly well done! I cannot rave enough about the quality of the product Cotton Paperie puts out! As far as quality of product, I am blown away by it! So I guess take the review with a grain of salt. It is possible they had a bad few week period with the paper shipping problems and that my customer service experience was an isolated incident. read more
