I was able to find and purchase a chiffon CK long sleeve shirt in off white though. Did succeed in finding a pair at Buckle.

I'm not an extrovert nor a huge shopper at all...and very much have been buying things online under…read moremy comfort from home + computer than subjecting myself to interacting with a salesperson at a mall. But finally, I stopped by Cottonwood Mall because I had an appointment to attend and was too lazy to drive back home. So, I figured I would just kill some time at a mall instead. The mall itself was ok. Frankly, it reminded me of how much time and habits of people had changed over the years. The mall didn't have too many people..it was more like a gathering of groups of people just so they could interact/hang out together...rather than a place to go buy/get something (e.g. shopping mall). I felt like more than half the shops inside the mall were either empty/closed or had no foot traffic. Most people seemed to congregate around food court, which had smaller ticket prices and people could sit/interact. I ended up sitting around the food court, and doing my things, too. Got my paleta from Paleta Bar....but beyond that..there wasn't really much to do. I accomplished my tasks of spending about a little over an hour there at a mall before my appointment...but...I wouldn't really think of going back there again to get something. I mean...to me...online shopping is king..save me all the time/hassle of driving..and I can pick/choose anything I want...get real/honest feedback/reviews from other people before making my purchases. What more not to like about online. So...all in all, nothing against Cottonwood Mall..it's just...that physical shopping stores don't really attract me so much anymore..unless the place has unique shops or offers unique experiences for me.

They are called 100 yen stores there. The prices all start at $1.75 and up. There are conversions charts all over for you to figure out the prices. Ok! I finally got in after an hour standing outside in the cold. I shopped for a 1/2 hour and then stood in line snaking through the aisles foe 2 1/2 hours to check out! Yes, it was an opening day 4 full hour adventure! Call me crazy. Got lots of Sanrio stuff, interesting food items, and kitchen gadgets. Would I do it again? Probably not, but I spent some time chatting with some wonderful people in line! Welcome Daiso to Albuquerque.

They have a little of everything from home goods to hobby supplies to gardening items. Chopsticks of all kinds, even the long ones for cooking, are available, and if you want to make your plate and bowl sets interesting, they have a nice variety to choose from, as well as bento boxes, food containers, etc. If you're looking for sauces and flavorings to up your ramen game, they have that too, along with a selection of foods imported from Japan, including some of the best instant ramen bowls I've ever had. They even carry a drink that's hard to find here on the mainland, direct from Hawai'i, Hawaiian Sun sodas! Though I've never had to ask for help with anything, the staff I have encountered have been pleasant and ready if there is need. Overall, if I had to choose between the DT and Daiso, I'd rather go to Daiso. Unfortunately, there's only the one store in town, so I save it as a treat that it is.

For it being a Sunday I have to say I was a bit shocked til I saw the Santa booth by the elevator and was reminded it was the holiday season so during the holidays they extend the hours. Anyways after walking around I found this shop. They had a lot of home decor, furniture, hand made blankets, apparel, geo rocks, novelties, jewelry, and so much more related to New Mexico. The blankets they had were so soft and neat, if I didn't have to buy Christmas presents, I would've bought one for myself. They had these dia de los muertos figurines that I absolutely fell in love with! The furniture they had was gorgeous! Wooden bed frames, tables, and even leather couches that were so comfortable and neat. The home decor items they had ranged from wooden sculptures to hand crafted metal figurines. They offered so much. Admittedly the prices were a bit high but it's to be expected for handcrafted products. The mineral rocks were gorgeous but pricey as well. Definitely didn't much under $10 but admittedly everything seemed very good quality so the prices I thought were fair. They are located where the old Zumies was by the elevator in the middle of the mall by the candle shop.
