I almost didn't want to write a review because I wanted to gatekeep this place, but this woman deserves a good review. I have vacationed in ocean city all 26 years of my life and this store is a must-go for me and my sister. She has good brands but beyond that she has GREAT TASTE and great prices. Even if it's not name brand, the pieces I have received the most compliments on BY FAR have come from this store. I always find gems, plural! Really rude customer service. Owner rushed me out while in the dressing room and made me feel bad for trying on items. Another owner sassed my friend when asking if she could pay with card, then proceeded to spray the perfume (that my friend was buying ) on herself. The experience made me not want to buy anything at all. Owners also came out to watch us when we were leaving. If you're below the age of 40 don't come in because they'll assume you're stealing. read more

I've been coming to this store for a decade. Super interesting and quirky stuff, but the owner is so RUDE. I went in there with some friends today and as I was browsing, she went up to my friends told them "you aren't real shoppers are you?". I heard her say this to a few other groups as well- all skewing younger. She was profiling them because she assumed young people don't have $10 to spend in her store?! I also asked if I could try on a hat that was hanging up really high. She launched into a tirade about how hard it is to get the hats down and replace them. I told her to forget it. if it's so hard to get the hats, maybe don't hang them like that? She was seriously so rude and made us feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable. I used to love this place but won't be giving her any more of my money. read more

This shop has an amazing shop window stocked full of designer brands (from Bebe to Dior). Plus there are $5 sale racks out on the sidewalk to entice you inside! Upon entering, the owner greeted me right away and wasn't overbearing while I was there. She let me browse on my own, but still answered any questions that I had. Although most of the brands seemed to be average, there were a few higher end brands mixed in (Bebe, Betsey Johnson, etc) and even a few Michael Kors, Juicy Couture, and Coach bags (some still with tags attached). I did end up finding an H&M Hawaiian print dress on one of the $5 racks that fit perfectly. I'll definitely be back. read more

I love this store so much! I came here in May and loved it instantly! I bought a Polo Ralph Lauren jean jacket for $10! Helena, the store owner, is awesome! She isn't overbearing and is super helpful! I just stopped in today to look for some jeans. I end up buying 6 pairs! On the tags it said that the jeans were $15-20 dollars each but she gave them to me for $5-10 instead! I bought two accessories as well and she gave them to me for free! I also noticed for the few minutes my family and I were in this shop that none of the clothes I looked at we're priced. The owner is disgusting! My daughter and her friends went into the store. Once other people came in who I guess were the kind of customers the owner prefers, she told my daughter and friends that they shouldn't go further into the store because there wouldn't be anything in there they wanted. Then she actually told them to leave because the store was too crowded! They had only been in there for 10 minutes and were cordial and polite. I wish I read the reviews on google before I walked 2 feet into this horrible business. The owners are classless. Both the husband and wife were working when I attempted to enter their store with my small travel stroller that measures shoulder width. I first encountered their rudeness when I tried entering their door and the woman barked at me to be careful with my stroller. I politely said I will and Entered their second door. As I tried to squeeze through their racks that are a fire hazard, my stroller caught onto a scarf and accidentally knocked over three boxes of perfume. I immediately apologized and went to pick them up and heard "omg there goes over $100 of inventory." Let me tell you not one item broke because they were sealed in protective boxes and it was cheap perfume that was covered in dust. I then told a woman i will be leaving because clearly you don't want my business and she said that's a good idea while her husband began barking and harassing me. Another 2 customers followed me out the door because they also felt uncomfortable and said they've never seen owners treat potential customers like that. If I could give them negative stars I would. I couldn't get out of that store fast enough. I'm shaking. According to other reviews these people don't like children and it's clear. My daughter quietly sat in her stroller and said not one word or touched anything, but the fact i had her and a stroller in there I was harassed. This place is a disgrace. I'm known for spending over $150 in consignment stores and they lost my business and the business of many other locals in the area. read more

Terrible customer service. Came in on a rainy day down the shore. Already had multiple items in my hand to purchase, when my friends 3 year old daughter announced she had to use the bathroom. The owner would not allow the child to use the bathroom (against NJ state law) and directed us to another location and also stated "maybe if you go to a restaurant and buy a soda they will let you use it" I promptly put the items on a rack and walked out. Lady, you just lost a lot of customers, and broke the law. I should have known from the rude and uppity way you greeted us and looked at a toddler with disgust, that I should have walked right out. But instead I gave you a try, and you blew it. read more

This consignment shop is unethical to say the least. Maybe someone should check with the salvation army to see if she donates tremendous amounts of valuable clothing? If you read Bridget Ws review I would consider the implications to the consigner? Giving things away for free? She robbed me of many valuables with absolutely no regard to record keeping or respect to others property. One day when dropping things off I saw a little blouse and handed her the 7 dollars for it. Helena laughed and said I was funny. In retrospect it was funny to her, since she had no intention of being honorable in return!!! Clearly the older lady with the black hair needs a few lessons in customer service. When I walked in she said " Can I help you with something!" And she said it as to attack me. Clearly im coming in to shop, if i needed help i would ask, i wasn't two feet in the door before this took place. I'm dressed professionally...its very said that this still happens in 2016. I immediately didn't want to spend my money there. I looked around because I wanted to see if she greeted the next customers in the same manner. She didn't! It was friendly " how are you!?" I didn't have a problem spending $200 in this store to avoid summer traffic. Being a life long year round resident of Ocean City, she made me quickly see that my green money that came from my black hand, bothered her a lot. Not a good idea referring someone to this place. I took numerous bags of designer clothing, shoes, designer handbags, etc. to this place almost a year ago. Several months later I visited the store and could only find 2 pairs of my shoes. So far I have made $14!! Apparently there is no type of record regarding what I dropped off. I was told whatever is brought in goes in the shop and if it doesn't sell, goes to the Salvation Army. Had I known I wouldn't be able to reclaim my items, I never would have gone here. I have been shopping here for several years when I stumbled upon them at a block party. If you are a regular, the owner Helena knows what you like. If you are new, she will size you up and make recommendations based on clothing cuts, not actual numbered size. If you are just browsing, she will leave you be to explore and ask questions. Out of the massive wardrobe of clothes I already have, Helena's finds get the most compliments. If you want to consign, she keeps perfect track of your belongings, and will know who would best fit what, including taste, and let you know her inventory. She ONLY selects the best of the best to sell, and I have bought most of them. Handbags, clothes, accessories, everything is designer or unique. read more

While the store is ok, the owners' behavior leaves something to be desired. The male owner approached a mother breastfeeding her baby and proceeded to embarrass her by asking her to cover up. They said that her actions caused them to loose a customer, referencing a man who supposedly left because she was doing this very natural and nurturing thing. The mother and her family, who did not speak English very well, were clearly confused. The female owner then looked to me for backup, which I very soundly did not give and defended the mother. I left the store and have no plans on returning. I won't patronize a store that so blatantly disrespects a mother's rights and duties. N.J.S.A. 26:4B-4 provides that mothers can breastfeed anywhere in a public place, as long as the mother is allowed to be there herself. For being located in "America's Greatest Family Resort", it's not too family friendly. read more
