Today was my first visit to a psychologist and I must say... I didn't know what to expect. I've…read morebeen having ...issues- to say the very least and was quite anxious prior to my appointment. I thought at first I was not even going to get to have my appointment (seeing as I was running 15 minutes late) but alas! The staff was very accommodating despite my tardiness and I was greeted by Dr. Robert Wells in no less than 15 seconds after entering the office. Luckily, I had previously filled out the 9 or 10 page patient intake paperwork (which the receptionist had kindly emailed to me upon making the initial appointment) so after 5 or so minutes of read this / read that I was in! Dr. Wells greeted again and showed me to his office. I was offered water and a (very comfortable) place to sit and the session began. Dr. Wells made sure to explain how things were going to proceed and that i was comfortable the entire time. I definitely recommend seeing this doctor..! He's Awesome.

I was drowning in shame and self loathing because of it. He used IFS and EMDR techniques as well as talk therapy and he helped pull me out of a very dark place and put me back on a path of spiritual and emotional well being. To this day, I still get amazed at how I react or don't react to any given situations that come my way. He helped me to see, accept and love all parts of me. I've been working with Amber for about 3 months at the time I write this, and I have made progress…read morelike I never have before. I spent a number of years in therapy, avoiding my own shortcomings and talking, yet stuck with no real progress or concrete evidence of my "talking" actually working. My time with Amber has been healing, challenging, unpleasant at times but necessary, and renewing to my spirit.
