Luckily, I had previously filled out the 9 or 10 page patient intake paperwork (which the receptionist had kindly emailed to me upon making the initial appointment) so after 5 or so minutes of read this / read that I was in! Dr. Wells greeted again and showed me to his office. I was offered water and a (very comfortable) place to sit and the session began. I have found Mr. Clarke to be a wonderful help and resource for me in times of chaos. He's the best therapist I have ever worked with. Mr. Clarke is also not a psychiatrist, as Yelp asserts. He is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago. This simply means that he is unable to provide prescription medication therapy. However, he has many psychiatrist contacts who can fulfill the medical role while he provides excellent talk therapy sessions.
