You can really tell a lot of care goes into what they put on the floor, and I've found some incredible deals here over the years. That said, the only downside -- and it's a big one -- is the person who usually runs the register. I've been here multiple times, and I've had multiple interactions with the same woman, and unfortunately she is consistently rude, cold, and clearly unhappy to be dealing with customers. It honestly makes the checkout process uncomfortable and kind of dreadful. It makes me wonder why someone who seems so miserable would choose a job that involves constant interaction with people. This store is such a positive, community-focused place, and it deserves staff who reflect that same warmth. I'll keep coming back because the store itself is wonderful -- I just hope the customer service experience improves, because it's the one thing holding this place back from being truly perfect.

On the day we visited, they were passing out homemade cookies and glasses of mimosas - yes please! So, Zicknacks and Treasure Trove Fleatique both share same address and signage is for Treasure Trove Fleatique. Once inside, the downstairs has used furniture while upstairs has booths for different vendors of used items, a lot of it vintage. There is even a plant booth which I loved and purchased a couple plants at a good price. Sooo, after coming home and searching online I am deducing on my own that Zicknacks occupies the main floor/downstairs portion of this venue of furniture and furnishings (I never saw any signage-- did I miss it?) And other vendors occupy upstairs. I must admit this particular visit there wasn't that much furniture but I can see that this is a good option when searching. The cashier is on the main floor near the front door. Searching online it shows Zicknacks also does donation pickup and has Hauling services.

I think you really have to have a treasure hunt mind set. I went on a Saturday. While someone said the regulars are rowdy, sitting near the cash register waiting for a cart, I saw a few families and pairs of people. No one seemed all that rushed or excitable. So, like I said, no cart. But while waiting for one, I saw two families check out with some pretty decent stuff they would probably get for less than $10. I think I would have rated it higher - but I really wasn't trying to dig through bins. (I mean if plus size stuff is hard to find at the regular stores, how much of it will someone find in a bin - and I really just wanted a winter coat.) Plus, hey, I was willing to, but didn't want to do that w/o a cart. I do agree with the reviewer who said it was clean. It was just as or even more clean than a regular Goodwill.

All the clothing is separated into different racks by categories, i.e jackets, sweaters, blouses, etc. They also have a great accessory selection for bags, shoes, and jewelry and in the back there is a whole wall for children's clothes and toys. Everything is reasonably priced for a thrift store. I didn't spend more than $6 on a single item. The location is very convenient as well. Right on Potomac ave in Dormont and there is meter parking right out front of the store. The ladies that work there are very nice as well. They told us how they are volunteers and have been working there for years. This is a non-profit store and everything they don't sell within 60 days goes to homeless shelters and a lot of their profits go towards helping the animal shelters as well. The store has been around for 50+ years, which is amazing. The ladies said it originally started out as a trade store for items people didn't want anymore, hence the name. Very cool history and a great place to find a good deal! Will be back!
