There's always an old western playing on the TV. My wife is the proof of the pudding; she always gives my haircuts two thumbs up. And who am I to argue with her?

I really wanted this place to be my new barbershop. Unfortunately, it did not go well. I did not make an appointment and the sign says walk-ins welcome. When I entered, Renee was finishing up on another gentleman. I thought that she was eyeing me warily. After she finished up with him. She started to clean up and she asked me if I was a new customer. I said yes, I had just moved here and was looking for a new barber. She then told me that she is not really taking on new clients, as she is so busy. This was awkward for me. I wasn't sure if I should stay or go, but she indicated that she was willing to cut my hair today. I told her what I have told my other barbers: I wanted a #4 all the way around and that I swoop my hair to the right. She got her clippers and immediately started to go at the front with them as if she was giving a buzz cut. I clarified that I wanted a #4 on the sides and back and scissor trim on top. She told me that I should have said, "A regular haircut with a #4 on the sides and back". Well, I definitely learned my lesson on that. She did not spend the time on my hair that my CA barber did. The haircut was over very quickly. Of course, I had a big patch in front where she had taken the clippers so this haircut was the worst I've had in memory. The whole experience was very disappointing. I do take responsibility for not being more clear with her. I would have thought she might ask question(s) to clarify so that she wouldn't make a mistake. At any rate, she is not looking for new clients and I will find myself another barber.
