Over the past decade, they have done about 10 flooring projects for us in 3 houses, including laminate, LVP, tile, and hardwood refinishing. They do very good job at competitive prices. Steve, the father, is extraordinarily nice and loves the aesthetics of flooring. His kids Kevin and Jason are now taking over the business. They are a bit gruffer, but they get the job done and try their best to make things work for the customer. Once, when we provided the materials for an install, we forgot the quarter rounds and transitions but they took care of that without adding a charge. The first time I used Kevin & this company, all went well enough. I hired him again a few years later & it was terrible. His crew stole several boxes of extra tile that I intended to return to HD for a refund. When I asked Kevin about it, he said the boxes must be still in the bathroom- like I just wouldn't see boxes of tile in a small bathroom. The other half of that project was to take the carpet off my stairs, I had to call him repeatedly about a custom rounded step, which eventually quit responding to my questions & I hired a different company. I originally thought I was paying a premium for flooring to a local company. I liked the idea of helping out a local business. In reality, this company originated in Michigan. Their communication was hit or miss. Only time the salesman Steve responded to my calls quickly was when the payment was due. Also he said to avoid lower cost bids from Home Depot/Lowes because they use 'third party' installers. Then I found out the installers for this company are also third-party. They drove an hour to get here. Not local. Also they couldn't speak English, so communication was difficult. There are better options out there. read more

A simple process, and so jazzed to have wood floors in my bedroom! We were shocked with how smooth it all went -- so happy with the results!

What was promised to be a one-day install took three to four days. After the installers left the owner, Kevin Middleton, sent his assistant out to fix areas that the carpet was already coming up from the floor. This was done on day 5 I believe. During the install the automobile in the garage, that they carried the carpet past, was scratched by their carelessness. Look at the wall Kevin said he would get it fixed but then disappeared after we paid him in full. The automobile has yet to be fixed and Kevin will not return phone calls or text messages. run from this company as fast as you can. They will do more damage than they do good. Absolutely horrible company to work with and very unprofessional. read more

So far our experience has been great! Steve came and brought us lots of flooring samples. He was on time and very personable. We are getting our new carpet for 3 rooms at a very reasonable price. Country Flooring Direct did a great job on the floors during our recent remodel. They installed and finished new white oak hardwood floors in all the bedrooms. Later during the remodel, they came back to repair and refinish the existing hardwood in the living room and dining room. They did an excellent job matching the existing hardwood flooring to the new hardwood flooring. We also had them install luxury vinyl flooring in our finished basement, and we had them carpet the stairs leading to the basement. They are on time, respectful, enjoy a laugh or two, but serious when it comes to putting some carpet down. I've never had a worse experience. The owner Kevin measured wrong the amount of carpet and didn't install carpet on the stair steps. They also destroyed nine feet of quarter round in the kitchen and wouldn't fix it. I'm in the process of selling my home and tried so hard to work with him to get an answer concerning date for completion of carpet and replacement of trim. It took him ten days to respond to my text messages and calls asking when the job would be completed. When he finally responded his answer was it was ordered. I begged him to tell me when I could expect installation and all he would say is he had no idea. He could have gotten the very common carpet from Home Depot or Lowes and finished the work. It may have cost him a few dollars but it would have been the right thing to do. He declined to do this only saying the carpet was ordered and he had no idea how long it would take. He really seemed like a great guy but if he makes a mistake he turns his back on the customer and avoids his responsibility. I would never recommend this man or his company for flooring. I only hope you do your research and select another company for your flooring. There are plenty of honest companies that will meet or better his pricing and do the job correctly. I told you my story and hope you think twice before going through the problems I've experienced. read more
