I requested replacement of the garden window in our house in Mammoth, the snow and ice had fallen from the roof and severely damaged the window in January 2026. The quote was reasonable and detailed, and although it took a while, the window was exactly what I wanted. Trevor took the measurements, and Armando did the installation. I have worked with Country Glass for several years. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I am a senior citizen who owns a second home in Mammoth and usually come up to take care of things by myself, due to my husbands health issues. Recently I had a loose shower door handle, called the company and they sent someone over. The nice young man came an examined the handle and showed me how to tighten it which took less than 5 minutes. I tried to pay him but he said I'll tell the office it was no charge. I only give 4 stars because I waited for 6 months to get my windows and doors replaced by Country Glass. I know there are other companies in town but heard they have horrible installers who don't know what they are doing or care. I wanted it done correct so I waited for Country Glass. Prices are sky-high because they're the only glass company in town and rip everyone. Their attitudes are unprofessional and need to check their egos. Hard pass. read more

These folks are a piece of work!! I had Trevor (great guy) measure my home for all new windows ($150k + job) and a month later, still no bid. Emailed Jessica at Country Class who emails back: "This request is in our estimates and we are still working through requests before yours. We will let you know when we can give you pricing. Also, we mentioned to your real estate agent you'll need a general contractor to install product." So, they are happy to tell you a timely bid means nothing to them, they don't tell you when to expect a bid, and now they tell you they don't even do the install. I would hate to think I relied on them to place an order for me and get it right, or even get it done! Dodged a bullet here. read more

Rarely do I give 1 star reviews. I feel the need to do so with Country Glass. I echo Kristi K's experience. Even though I've asked Country Glass repeatedly to give me a written estimate for a job (with breakdowns of cost), they would not do so. When I first walked into the store 2 months ago, I met Taylor. I told him that I wanted to replace a shower door for a fiberglass tub. He showed me some samples they had on display. He sent over a guy to take measurements within 15 minutes. I asked the guy to send me a written estimate and provided him my email. The guy called me within 10 minutes of leaving my condo and told me the price (including installation) was $850. I asked him to email me a written estimate with a cost breakdown. He acted surprised but said he would do so. The estimate wasn't sent so I called the store the next day and spoke to a woman. I told her I hadn't received the estimate yet and she told me she hadn't sent it. I asked her when I could expect to receive it and she said "I don't know". I asked, "Can you give me a ballpark estimate, since I am trying to schedule work on my bathroom?" She said, "Probably in a day or so". Well, I never got it. A month later, I walked into the store again and the only person there was Mike, who said he was an installer. I asked him if I could get the estimate and he fiddled around on the computer and said he couldn't find it. I told him that I had spoken to a woman working there and told him about her and my conversation. He apologized that she hadn't sent it, took down my information and said he would make sure she got the message. Well, I never got a call or the estimate. A few weeks later, I walked in and Taylor and Mike were there. I said hi to Taylor and refreshed his memory about when I was there before, which he recalled. I also said hello to Mike and asked if he remembered me. He said "no". I told Taylor that I have been asking for a written estimate for a couple of months and he said "Yea. We don't really do them". SERIOUSLY?!? I think it's pretty standard to get a written estimate/bid/proposal with a breakdown of the cost and information of the product you are purchasing and the cost of labor. I had been getting bids from other companies and wanted to do a price comparison. He said, "It's like splitting hairs. It'll all cost about the same. You know what. Why don't you get the job done by someone else?" This was said in an annoyed way that signified that he would prefer not working with me. I have contractor friends and asked them if I was asking for something unusual. They all said it was normal to ask for a written estimate on a job. I thought it was really unprofessional and Taylor was a jerk. It's unfortunate in these small mountain towns that contractors get away with this sort of behavior. read more

Gordon and Sharon original owners were great. Taylor and Jessica not even close to mediocre. Will not be using them any longer. Having a second home in Mammoth has its share of challenges. Dealing with a local company shouldn't be one of them. Country Glass is so unprofessional that I hope someone takes notice of this and further reports them. They DO NOT return phone calls or voice mails. They DO NOT wish to supply an email address. They DO NOT provide a written estimate. They DO NOT provide decent, respectful, professional customer service. I got the run around, a rude condescending attitude from the "co owner" (very surprising for a business owner) and came away very sad and dismayed. Let me first preface this by saying... Working in Mammoth always brings many obstacles. One has to deal with not only the ever changing weather, but also the sporadic availability of vacation home owners. Country Glass in Mammoth has to deal with these conditions and MORE. When the big storm of 2017 hit, and SO many windows were broken because of the massive snow, Country Glass came out within a week and fixed one of our windows. I know there were thousands of windows to fix and they treated me with respect. I know they were WAY over loaded trying to get to everyone's issues. Recently I had a sliding glass door that needed replacement. When I called, in November, they came out within the week to give me an estimate. They emailed me the estimate a few days after their visit with a very reasonable price. They were also very transparent in that they claimed that they are super busy and wouldn't be able to get to the door until February. I appreciated their forthright information and said that I will send in my deposit and hopefully they could get to it then. When February came (and so did the snow), they kept me in the loop as to when they would be able to get to the door replacement. Unfortunately, I had to wait until the snow melted to access the slider, but as soon as it was available to be replaced, Country Glass got me on schedule right away. I am very happy with the work and the transparency of their business. Keeping a business running in Mammoth comes with many difficulties and I think Country Glass handles the obstacles with honesty and sincerity. read more

This company, Country Glass, should not be allowed to do business in Mammoth. Jessica, is by far, the rudest individual I have ever encountered at a business in my entire life. She is not only arrogant, she is unreliable, any information she provides is at best a brush off, and she has no intention of following through. My experiences with Country Glass are over several years, and I am finally fed up enough to write a review. Jessica stated that they would be out to fix a screen door they made last year for me. She stated within 2 weeks, after promising before labor day and used a throw away line, "well its Mammoth get used to it". When I informed her that we had owned the property for 25 years, she changed her attitude barely. It is now 4 weeks, the work has not been done, she has not returned any phone call despite repeated voicemail messages left by me. NEVER use this company you will be frustrated, angry, overcharged, and have to endure horrible customer service. Vera's review sounds like a paid advertisement. There is no excuse when they are given the code to the door, and phone numbers of the renters, and any and every thing necessary to perform the job, except for Country Glass's lack of integrity and honesty. There is a reason that 3 people have written the reviews that are here. If there was a choice for no stars, I would give that to Country Glass. read more

I have used Country Glass as a local general contractor in Mammoth Lakes for years, and I have no complaints. Their prices are fair and the service is excellent, and they are always willing to accommodate my (sometimes crazy) schedule. They do exactly what they promise, when they promise, for the price they promise, and I have yet to have them come back because of a problem with an installation. As a retired General Contractor of a 30 million dollar business, I was very disappointed in the way Country Glass handled my Mammoth Condo door replacement. They ruined my lock and replaced it with a faulty lock. We were never informed of the lock problem and after numerous phone calls they finally mailed us a key. They finally mailed us a key that did not fit the lock installed by them! Therefore my wife had to climb up to a 2 story balcony to get access late on a Friday night. We never received an apology or some kind of compensation for this screw up. The actual door and screen installation was excellent. I just wish that their communication and taking care of an absentee owner was as good. read more
