This is the easy listening of classic country with a touch of outlaw and rowdiness from time to time. I cannot listen to neo-popcountry but still love country music and this hits the spot. I discovered Country Legends on a trip back home and have been listening ever since via streaming on the internet.

Still, I occasionally tuned in - at that time Kellie Rasberry was out on extended maternity leave. Her daughter is now 7 & the great Dave Cradick aka Kidd Kraddick has sadly died. The last few years I've listened 5 days a week to the current lineup of Kellie, J-Si (Jose Chavez), Jenna Owens, the inimitable Big Al Mack & world's best board op Shanon Murphy. They have carried on since Kidd's been gone. AND they continue to do an entertaining show. Content is built around show biz news & family friendly phoners w/major stars. Lots of games for fans too. Their charity work with Kidd's Kids is exemplary. I am a former radio professional & entertainer. My radio listening started in the world's largest market, NYC. I know good radio. That's why I listen to Kidd Kraddick in the morning. They have a net presence at KiddNation.com & are syndicated in 70+ US markets. Broadcast in the New River Valley on J-104.5 FM Bluefield WV. My question are these top 5 here says or does Kelly Raspberry knows 100% of these actors, musicians & others in the entertainment industry? 3. Southern Florida Hotels, is this another voice computer system or is this a recorded person announcer? 4. Part Time Justin: He is a positive DJ, which is great to hear especially during the morning when I am waking up still. 5. Text 0707 is mentioned for what? 6. I noticed the new singers name or band are not being mentioned, why? 7. Traffic announcer is brief. The female announcer is good though, even though she does not have a huge amount of minutes to tell the traffic. She is still articulate. 8. American Express commercial 9. I would think Kelly Raspberry listens to these. The music has changed big time. They have similar upbeats and rhythms as well, lyrics are different. For the most part I really like this radio station. For one I support college radio, always have…read morealways will. I like the music format; some Indie mixed in there, some retro 80's, and most importantly some local stuff like Oso Closo among others...They also play alt country like Drive by truckers, Steve Earl, etc...and some Americana and Folk roots music...Now for the down side, they need to change up the list more often...I hear the same list of the same songs by the same bands pretty often. So I would like if they would change it up sometimes and play something new and fresh. Also another down is the Webpages have NOT been updated in ages!!! And they really don't make good on answering emails...So if you want to contact them I suggest the listener line since I have gotten a hold of them that way. So much potential for this great radio station. I know it's a college station, but come on teach, lets get these kids to update the webpage at least once a month! Also, I really don't like the classic music for 2 hours. Arghhh...I put a CD on. ALso, the info shows are not necessary. I don't really wanna hear fanboy radio or a married couple talk about their home projects. Just stick with Music and maybe news and traffic. Keep on keeping on KTCU!!!

My mom and sister only listen to the ranch, so on road trips back home, I listened to it for hours. I then started occasionally started streaming it and it grew on me. In fact, I love some of the artists. I tried to listen to the new country station in San Francisco, and it is just crap. I wish I could get the Ranch in SF in my car. For a Texas girl far from home, its nice to hear songs about Texas and songs that have a special Texas flair. It's a tribute to the history of great country music. The only problem is that it makes me want to drink (in a good way), but I usually listen during the day. Artists seem to be treated like family. There seems to be a real committment to honor the fans and artists. I removed a star because the DJ's can be a little too folksy for my taste. (But maybe you will like that).

It's started with D&M Leasing, we' on our third vehicle with them and couldn't be more satisfied. Second, I found out why there's a soaker hose around my house, who knew you had to water your house in north Texas! Well, Structured Foundation to the rescue. And tomorrow we're having all of our windows replaced by Clarity Home Improvements, and I have to say the entire process has been easy and pleasantly affordable.
