We drove out to the Amish country to try out the bakery. This store was close by. It's a fascinating little country store. Lots of oils, fresh cheese, milk , bulk grains, teas. I could spend a few hours just looking at the merchandise. I bought some yummy pork rinds. The ladies working there were staring a lot but maybe I was doing the same thing. It's a very clean and organized store. Would recommend checking it out. read more

Love this store. Mainly go there for JD milk ( delicious ), and baking supplies. They have a large selection.

Variety and quality is great. Prices are good. I see accusations of racism, but I see people of color shopping there every weekend with no issue. This is my go-to store and I'm there regularly. They are culturally against anything that is immodest, i.e., clothing, behavior, language, etc. I've never seen them be anything but polite to polite customers of any race or color. read more

What a great find! This is a smaller store than my favorite one in Charlotte TN. But has many of the same items available. The butter is amazing. The pictures I posted are just a peek at stuff you can find here. We didn't spend a lot of time inside but we will return so we can browse more. read more

I shouldn't have mentioned the Mennonite market to my girlfriend because she immediately wanted to go there-which is quite out of the way but after visiting here again I don't know why I don't come here more often. You can tell that stuff like butter and milk and eggs are just as farm fresh as you can get and the bulk items are amazingly cheap for what you get. Even my girlfriend was impressed with carob chips-which was something she searched high and low for back in NYC and couldn't find anywhere. Their spice rack is just mind numbingly cheap as well as all the flours, quinoa flour, almond meal, all cheaper or similar price (which translates to cheaper since there's no tax charged here.) They even have a large variety of coconut oil and olive oils, naturally pressed for much cheaper than you could get at Whole Foods without the long trip. I have to come back here with a plan next time so I can bring a cooler bag for their milk and eggs and their homemade bacon. One of the few highlights to living in Clarksville. read more

Veggie Chips. They are so good, we paid for the giant bag, that's a whole $19. I'm going to attempt to make some myself in a couple weeks, after we finish this huge bag. We're halfway done. It's sad, they are so good, yet so expensive. I love this little shop. They have everything you could possibly need for baking. All kinds of spices, dried herbs, grains, so much I can't even name it all. They sell in bulk as well as smaller sizes too. Closed on Sundays. read more

I have heard about this place since I moved here forever ago. Since I am on spring break this week, I decided to ask my hubby if he wanted to go on an adventure here today since the weather was gorgeous. It was easy to find with the provided map and there was hardly anyone there (plus for me- I have heard it gets busy on Saturday). My husband had no idea what was there, so we both spent the first 20 minutes looking around at everything. I was amazed at the bulk selections- quinoa, steel cut oats, cornmeal, flour, fresh cheese, butter, milk, eggs, meats and many more things. The workers were very pleasant and the store was very clean. I ended up getting the marshmallows (who wouldn't after reading the previous review), some candied grapefruit chews, the veggie chips, and my husband picked out a few things as well- everything was only $12! . Planning on going back and bringing a cooler in a few weeks to try out the eggs, milk, meats, and cheeses. I remember that the eggs were $2.12 (I think) which sounds pricey- but free range eggs taste so good! There may be some things you wouldn't want- but others could come in handy. If you are in the area and like to cook (or stock up in bulk), you should totally go. It is a neat experience :) read more

I finally got a chance to check out the store, and I was pleasantly surprised. I found everything I was hoping to find. Cheap spices, farm fresh eggs, local raw honey, and lots more. Country Pantry is an Amish store unlike anywhere else nearby, carrying a myriad of mixes, sugars, flours, candy, cookware, produce, cheese, and even fair trade essential oils. It's in a modest building off Guthrie Rd. The sign is tiny, but it's worth keeping an eye out for if you want to get baking supplies in bulk inexpensively. When I went in this week, I was able to grab a sack of evaporated cane juice, kosher salt, and birch beer. This spared me a trip 50 minutes into Nashville, saving gas, time, and lots of money. A quaint, modest marketplace. Products range from candies, jams/jellies, honey, meats, fresh and local dairy products, cast iron pans and other kitchen utensils, fudge, spices, different flours, dip mixes, etc. They also have a variety of home decor - mainly signs/paintings. There are little shopping carts for kids to push in the store. read more

Country Pantry is a great little Mennonite shop in Guthrie. Lots of bulk food items for stocking your kitchen pantry. There are too many items to list, but my favorite "must have" items when I visit are: garlic cheese curds, veggie chips, and blackstrap molasses. You can also drop off used clothing, and they'll ship it to their missions in third world countries. Wonderful people - if you're in Guthrie, pay them a visit! read more

We drove by this place and were curious so we decided to go in. There was a lot of stuff to buy. Jams, cheeses, bulk items, meats, kitchen stuff etc... The prices were good on some items, but on others they were too pricey. We bought a dozen eggs for $2.15 which is a good price. We also bought some jerky sticks for about $10. They were not very good, the inside was very pasty and not what we expected. Ended up throwing out the jerky sticks because nobody in the family could get past the texture.The cheese we bought was very good however, and a great price, only $4.50 for a half a round of farmers cheese. I would probably not drive all the way out there again though. read more

Went today, harder to find than most say but defiantly need to go. I am super exicted about my farm fresh milk, my lucky charms marshmallows, homemade soap, local honey, fresh made cheese. Can't wait to go back to return my milk bottle and get a new one and to go through all of their spices and flours again. Try to go again in a week or so to trade out the bottle. read more

I really LOVE This market. They have so many things that we need and will also order from the Frontier catalogue. My only complaint is the area seems to be getting a lot of those horrible poultry large scale operations and the stench in the warmer months is getting to be horrible. I wish The Country Pantry was surrounded by more polyface farms instead of big agri animal and crop production. read more

I have made a couple trips out to Country Pantry and I have had an awesome experience. Country Pantry is a Mennonite store. I come from Western PA and this one of the only places I have been able to find some of the things that remind me of home. I first went here to find birch beer and along the way found Lebanon bologna too. There is maple syrup from PA and New England. The prices are great and the people are friendly. My daughter gets excited about the idea of going there to get food. This is a place I plan to go back to again and again and I would recommend this store to anyone. read more

A far better selection than the health food isles of the local grocery stores, especially for those looking to be wheat and gluten free. This store is one of the many pleasures of living in this area. I love the simplicity of the store and the selections of whole foods in both bulk and smaller sizes. I recently read up on health benefits of Quinoa and couldn't find it at any of the local grocer's. Of course Country Pantry had it. I also picked up some non-alum baking powder. This is where I purchase most of my spices. The only downer about the place is that when I first started going here about 9 years ago it was an unknown gem and the prices were incredible! As others started finding out and it became popular I saw the prices pretty much skyrocket from where they were. It's still worth the lovely drive out there, though. (not to mention Slaubaugh Bakery is just up the road and makes for a nice little grocery trip). read more

A neat little Mennonite Store in the middle of the corns fields of Kentucky! It reminds me of a smaller version of Whole Foods. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of food items as well as the variety. There was everything from what I believe to be home-made candies to farm fresh eggs, raw milk, fresh made cheeses / butters and hormone-free beef. I found unsweetened coconut which is really difficult to find in the grocery stores as well as gluten free baking flour! You are sure to find something at this little store that will leave you wanting to come back for more! I love the idea of supporting local, home grown businesses but the best part about this particular business is that when you purchase items, you are supporting a farm community who have a love for Christ. read more

I have visited here a few times now. Always stop at Schlabachs Bakery and this store while in Guthrie. This store is Amish run but its not true Amish in the sense that the bakery is. At the bakery they literally make their goods on site. I realize the Country Pantry can't make everything on site but DiGiorno Pizza? Seriously? I was so put off by seeing this. The cheeses are shipped in from Ohio, the noodles/pasta says right on the bag "Distributed by Essenhaus Foods" in Indiana, the jams and jellies say "Made exclusively for Country Pantry" on the label. Made by who? It doesn't say. I think the only local thing in this store is the milk. If you are looking to stop and buy some local, Amish made goods - this is NOT your store. Its totally commercialized. Really disappointed that the Amish are weakening their craft by doing this. read more
