Once your dog enters senior age you are sent packing as they can't be bothered taking their time to do a senior dog. my dog is a senior and they sent her packing and told me to head to Barton Street or go to a vet so they can sediate her which won't be happening as she is a kidney patient. I was told she bit the groomers, I seriously doubt that as she has loved people from 10 weeks old and has never bit anyone trying to do her hair. Once your dogs hair can't be whipped off anymore they can't be bothered . I thought I found an excellent place until now! Take your time to research these dog groomers so you don't land in the same predicament as us. It's sad how this turned turned once the owner is barely around . Run while you can!!!!

Over the years it has been difficult to find a groomer who had the personality and skillful to listen to what I wanted and really care about the boys. They often came home with cuts that were not very good and/or aspects of grooming just not done. Then, I found Sierra and her sister Cali at Pet Value in Simcoe, On. They listen and ask questions to clarify what you would like them to do. They are gentle, kind and professional. Should Sierra need further clarification or share a concern ... she'll call right away. At the end of the grooming I get a verbal report about any findings and how they boys handled the grooming. The boys come home happy, smelling great, all aspects of grooming and care are done, and the cuts are cute, and beautifully symmetrical. The sisters add a little bit of "funk" to their hair sometimes. Thank you Sierra and Cali. Thank you to the staff at Pet Value for having great groomers. Max came out looking exactly how I wanted him groomed, and it's clear they took the time to make sure everything was done right. It's not always easy finding a groomer who can manage an energetic dog and still deliver a great cut, but they did an amazing job. We have spent thousands of dollars at this business over the years. Our issue with Eastside started a few days ago when we took our current cat to get her nails trimmed, her first time in for that service. The work was done, the animal was returned to us and lady who did the work informed us that she had noticed on our file that this cat was not up to date with her rabies shot and because of that we would not be able to bring her back for future services until that had been updated. The fee for this shot is apparently over $200 with the tax as the vet has to "examine" her before a shot can be administered so that exam fee inflates the cost. We had this same cat in for treatment twice within the prior 6 weeks and this had never been mentioned and had not prevented her treatment so we asked why the change in policy. She advised us that "its the law". The City of Hamilton Ontario had passed a by-law some 6 years ago requiring rabies shots for all domestic pets, even indoor cats like ours. So we asked why this is now an issue given our recent history. The answer (from the front desk person on duty) was that they had only started enforcing that by-law about 2 1/2 months ago. But remember we had been there after that and nothing was said. So very upsetting and very poor customer service. I'm sure the information could have been delivered differently given our long history with this clinic. We will of course be looking for another clinic to look after our pet. My sense is that the people in charge will not really care about the loss of our business or our dissapointment with how it all ended. This is a very large corporation and individual complaints will not affect their bottom line.

Order placed April 3, dropped off/shipped April 9, arrival April 17…read more Petmax did not meet advertised their policy, advertised same/next-day shipping, 4-5 day delivery time and the return process was not accessible or accepted. Due to Petmax + courier delays and the product becoming unusable for its intended purpose after discovering health issues with my cat, I contacted Petmax before the delivery was completed. Petmax instructed me to refuse delivery to receive a full refund, but the courier entered my building unauthorized, left the package in a common area without my consent, and removed my ability to refuse it. When I tried to resolve the issue with Petmax, I was required to follow a return process I cannot complete due to my disability, yet I had to disclose it to request basic assistance and proper application of their policy. Despite this, I was offered store credit minus $17 shipping fees or a physically impossible return method. Petmax stated they work with several couriers and those couriers had limitations, which is why I was refused accessible return. Upon research, the information Petmax provided appeared inconsistent with published policies from their courier network and the available courier pickup options, that offer paperless return pickup services. Other customers are allowed returns and full refunds but I am excluded from it because I have a disability that makes certain acts physically not possible for me.
