All eight incumbents were running for re-election. No scandals in the city, incumbents patted each other on the back for lack of major problems. In debates, I had to take-on all 8 incumbents. Campaign: 500 Posters. Modern Printing, Plymouth Ave. Fall River / Ray Schenk 1000 envelopes. Modern Printing. 18,000 News articles reprinted (Modern Printing) and distributed door-to-door. Newspapers were primary news source then. Headline from newspaper read "Gonyon who?" and had a great article about me... I got 11,120 votes and election to Fall River City Council November 1979. Newspaper headline again notes my campaign success! I served two terms, left to take position as Director of Personnel Administration for the City of Fall River under supervision of Mayor Carlton Viveiros. Close friend and confidant of Mayor Viveiros Jay Clarkin phones me and congratulates me on a "good campaign, well done" words I treasure to this day... Close friend Maureen Lynn worked with me throughout the city campaigning. Wife Lauretta Gonyon mobilized our children, her family and her numerous friends to either campaign with me and or vote for me. A "Wow!" effort from all!

I unknowingly bought a terrible diy wedding invitation kit and found that I couldn't print them at…read morehome because the ink from my ink jet printer bled and looked horrible- the kit did not specify the need to use a laser printer. I have a very busy life and had planned to spend a solid day and a half with my mother putting together the invites but that plan was based on us having an easy time printing at home. Needless to say, when I realized this wouldn't work I was panicked. Staples and FedEx Office stores couldn't help me because the smallest stock size their machines could handle was 4" wide... my invites are 3.75" wide. Close to tears I plugged in "print" into my GPS and found East Bay. The woman that answered the phone was knowledgeable and comforting telling me that worst case scenario, if they couldn't use a machine to print my invites they would do a screen print of it, either way they had a solution. When my mother and I arrived there, Jenn the designer took my file and although she didn't have the fonts that I had initially used she promised she would make it work. She also created the RSVP cards for us on the spot- starting from scratch when she realized the stupid stock cards that came with my kit were smaller still than my invites and wouldn't fit in the machine. She gave me a beautiful solution to a very stressful situation- and she did it in very little time! While I live in New Hampshire I would highly recommend East Bay Printing & Copying to anyone in the Warren, RI area and I know my parents, who do live locally will utilize them at any chance they get. They totally didn't mind us helping the process along to get it done in as little time as possible, as long as we stayed off the truck itself. And bonus soundtrack of slow 90's R&B jams on truck: "Cuz tonight, baby, I WANNA GET FREAKY WITH YOU!" And then they drove on to another job for the afternoon! They picked the pieces up and delivered them when completed. You have to be patient when having this type of work done. The timeframe they gave me was fine. If you have sturdy older furniture, you should expect to pay comparable to buying a new chair, but you will end up with a much higher quality product. I was on the phone with the bride to be& she too "witness" how disrespectful she was. I searched for a tailor nearby my way. She popped up. I went in with a custom made dress that needed a little bit of fitting. She "assured" me that she could do that. I left my Maid of Honor dress with her TO DESTROY! Came back she took out the support (held the dress up) damaging the dress! She then "claimed (2nd time now) that she could fix it (she toss out parts of the dress *eye roll*). I gave her a 2nd chance. Came back, dress was in worst condition then the first time. She told me on the 2nd visit that if it's not up to par, I "do not need to pay her." That was my only reason for letting keep my dress a 2nd time. Instead It got progressively worst. Lastly, when I cried in her mediocre dressing room. Came out, remind her of what she said to me the last time, she claimed she never did. That she worked "really hard," & that she's never encountered in her odd years of experience such a "rude customer" that my "kind is the worst" I'm African American BTW. I guess it's okay to destroy a pricey dress & then get disrespected by racist. I have been unable to contact anyone at their 3 phone #s I have for them, email, website, social media, text message. It feels an awful lot like they took my money to do a quick job and then even though said to reach out if there were issues, was never to be seen again. I'm not even sure if they are still in business since there is no sign of life from them. This was extremely expensive which I was willing to pay for it to fix the issue he said it would fix, but I am still having the same problem.

However, he was very knowledgeable and informed me on why this issue occurred and gave me a recommendation on what type of printer to buy for my needs.
