I attempted to set up an appointment for a Saturday and was told new clients can't have a Saturday appointment. I then asked the latest appointments they have during the week and was told 4pm. I said, "okay, I'll need to think about it because I obviously have a full time job." I called back 20 minutes later after speaking to my partner about when he could possibly leave work to take our dog there and they didn't take my calls for the rest of the day. I even left a voicemail. Really unkind service towards someone who just told you their dog is dying. We will go somewhere more compassionate and flexible.

Unfortunately something went very wrong on the second visit with my pitbull. I discussed my older cat (who was not there) with the vet because he was suffering from fleas and the current meds weren't working. He suggested a pill for the cat and I said I would buy one single pill to try. I got the pill upon checking my dog out and I guess there was confusion at that point because I ended up with flea meds for a large dog instead of a cat. No verification was made by the receptionist as to which pet this pill was for and it was also not printed on the package. Nornally they put a sticker on a medicine bottle for example. I didn't realize the pill was for a dog until the day after I gave it to my cat and he was acting very sick. He had strong twitches and an episode of hyper activity and/or seizure. I took him to the emergency hospital where he was treated for poisoning. Luckily he got better a few days later and the twitching subzided. I called Dr Gray the day my cat was admitted to the hospital (November 17) to let him know what happened and we spoke again the following day. He recalled the conversation about the cat but didn't seem to know how this happened. I told him I would like to be reimbursed for the bill and he said he would need to talk to his boss. A week later I sent Ellenwood animal hospital a letter asking for reimbursement with a copy of the emergency hospital bill but I have not received a response yet. I am considering contacting the board of vets and also filing in small claims court. I was really hoping to avoid all this so I hope they contact me to resolve this. If you do visit this vet please double check all medication and verify who it is for and make sure the pet's name is printed on the meds. Be prepared that they may not take accountability for mistakes they make.

After researching multiple places we chose UGA Veterinary Hospital and are glad we did. Everyone was phenomenal from our initial contact with Stephanie who was most informative and helpful, to our vet student Riley, and Dr Venier who performed the surgery. We could not be more pleased with the quality of care, knowledge and concern for our dog that everyone demonstrated. This was not an inexpensive procedure but UGA costs were very reasonable compared to other facilities.

Most of the ma's were kind and helpful but the last one we dealt with was a jerk and we quit going there after dealing with her hateful attitude. After months of chemo for our dog with highly aggressive lymphoma and atvleast $6000 in treatment there she had zero empathy or skill in bekng kind to me with our dog dying. I had waited all day for them to bring Samson out after letting them know I would be waiting and asked her if we could just get our bloodwork at our local vet and have the oral chemo shipped to us so we didn't have to go through this anymore with our dog waiting there all day. She got more agitated with every question and proceeded to tell me there were only 3 of them for 30 cancer patients. That is NOT MY PROBLEM if you are understaffed and treating more pets than you should be. My problem is my dying dog and you being an ugly jerk when asked simple questions. We previously were able to have our bloodwork done at our local vet and the chemo meds shipped for at home administration so for me to ask if this was an option shouldn't have been such a burden for her to handle. The resident vet on duty that day did nothing but take up for the rude vet tech and did nothing to try to comfort or reduce the friction I felt on that visit. If you want to be a number then go here. I recommend getting your vet to refer you to Woodlands Veterinary Referral instead of subjecting your pet to the stress of staying at a uga clinic for 6-8 hours each visit if time is on your side.

My only issue with this vet is that both my dogs became I'll with an intestinal bug after visiting. They are inside dogs and don't go anywhere but their little dog yard and to the vet. So I know they picked up something from the clinic. It doesn't seem like the cleanest place and the exam table was dirty in the room. I'm really hesitant to take my dogs in there now. While this does not affect how capable the vet is, it does have a reflection on the clinic.

I've been a long time Customer of Sigman Animal Hospital. I am also a breeder and I've had…read morenumerous surgeries done by Dr. Suttles. On May 16th, 2025. I had taken one of my puppies, as I have done so many times before , to see the vet but Dr. Suttles was not working that day. I had to have the puppy seen by Dr. Childers. Brandi, who works there, is an awesome employee . She came in and asked me if it was OK to do x-rays and I agreed to that that charge but it was $175. I had never paid that much before. They asked me if they could do a fecal and I agree to that. I agreed to do the subcutaneous fluids because she was dehydrated. I asked them to board her overnight. They board animals all the time that take medicine and I'm sure they are never charged for a hospitalization. So instead of a boarding fee, I was charged a hospitalization fee. My dogs appointment was on 3:15 and my pick up at 4:59 the next day which 25 1/2 hours . I was charged for her to stay over night because I asked her to be but it wasn't explained that I would be charged for hospitalization. The difference is about $20 more for hospitalization plus the extra fee $22 I was charge because she was there for a little over 24 hours I I guess because she sat in a kennel an extra 1 .75 hours . Another charge, A Cerenia injection was given to her which I didn't approve and don't even know what it's for. The charge was $33. I was never asked about her getting the injection. I was never told how much a general health profile was going to be. $143. I would have passed on that if I knew the cost because they had already figured out what was wrong with the puppy . When I called up there to speak to Dr. Suttles, I was connected to someone other than her. I believe she was some type of office Assistant. Knowing that I had spent between $2500 and $3000 since January 2025 w/ Dr. Suttle's, who is the owner. I had asked the assistant to have her call me, which didn't happen. I felt she could call me so we could go over the bill. I had never complained before about any of the costs of my bills. I just paid them . So $687.86 later, I went through my bill and had questions about charges up to $220. And got no answers. It very disappointing.

I drove all the way from Atlanta to have Cosmo (my lab-mix) get x-rays for his hip/leg. Dr. Sigman and his staff were so helpful and professional through the entire exam which gave me (and Cosmo) a lot of comfort in an otherwise very stressful situation. His rates were extremely reasonable, and overall service was grade A+. I was so impressed that I've decided to make him my regular vet! It was well worth the drive from Atlanta!! We'll be back!
