Needed to get out of the house and on a short adventure...so to Thorntown we went. Really big place with pretty decent prices. I found that the junkier the booth was the more outrageous the prices were. Found a small crystal lamp they had for sale as a candle holder. I've already added wiring and a socket for a bulb. Bought a stand I have no idea what I'm doing with yet, but for some reason had to get it. Less than 10$ so no great loss if I can't come up with a use. And a cup that has the same pattern as a sugar and creamer that was my Moms. Semi-Productive day.

Visiting antique stores has been my son and mine's go to socially distanced activity this year. Weirdly, a cool place to take a teenager. Anyway, great store lots of vintage Pyrex, glassware and random stuff.

Any time I am in the area (from Chicago) I stop in. Prices are a variable depending on whose booth you are standing in, but the sheer volume of "stuff" is worth going to see. I never leave without finding something I "can't live without".

We used to love this place. I don't know what happened but the prices have gone through the roof. Hopefully someone will figure it out!

Always good finds here. There are always new vendors and new jems to discover. People at the desk are friendly and very helpful.

Loved this antique mall in downtown Frankfort. The proprietor, Rich Essick, purchased the building…read moreonly 2 years ago, but kept the original name. He told us the the building originally was a chicken hatchling house. The original sign hangs behind his counter. The store is extensive yet easy to get around. Aisles are wide and it is easy to see the merchandise. They carry a great assortment of local antiques and vintage items. Prices range from low to high depending on the item. Glassware is nicely displayed. The upstairs is filled with furniture. He carries an interesting selection of old pipes and campaign buttons. To get to the store, you need to maneuver around road construction, but it is worth it. Rich is super friendly. We will be back.

There is also a few nice restaurants on the square if you'd like to dine while there. Peddler's Alley was close to the square so we stopped to check it out. The building is much larger than it appears from the outside. Convenient parking is in front of the shop. I was warmly greeted as I entered and I immediately headed to a gorgeous fireplace mantle close by. The grouping was gorgeous with the mantle, area rug, chandelier, willow branches, rocking chair and other home decor items. The large shop has several rooms filled with mid-century furniture, prints, lamps, home decor, candles, glassware, stained glass and so much more. If you enjoy browsing or looking for something specific stop in Peddler's Alley and explore this clean, well organized shop. The owner is friendly and helpful but allows you to browse at your spend. Stop in.

Her shop is immaculate,…read morewell organized, beautiful groupings on tables and furniture, in-trend colors and something for those who enjoy primitive, antiques, traditional, country and farmhouse styles. Displays are well spaced apart so you're not bumping into other shoppers. Or as in our case, room for my friend to walk easily between displays with her walker. The owner was kind enough to allow her to sit on several chairs as she needed to rest a few times while browsing the shop. (Side effects of Covid-19). Currently the Easter decor is the holiday being displayed throughout and it is adorable. The varies types of bunnies with different hair and faces are so fun. If you're decorating for Easter she has adorable pieces to set the holiday mood in your home and centerpieces for your dining table. The furniture is gorgeous, priced well, versatile and perfect for many home decor styles. You'll also find colorful rugs, amazing lamps, bowls, blanket chests, wardrobes, ceramic pieces, glassware, wreaths, phenomenal artifical floral arrangements in all colors and would work in so many places in a home. So many things that it's impossible to mention it all. The owner was very friendly, answered questions, allowed us to browse freely and at our pace. As I mentioned before she allowed my friend to sit on the furniture when she couldn't walk any further which was so kind of her. She has an Open House this week so try to attend if you're free. I posted the Open House Flyer under the Tips button or checkout her Facebook site. Wonderful shop and well worth the 45 minute drive from the Westside of Indy. Easy street parking available in front of the building.

The clerk was friendly and welcoming. The shop is large with three rooms filled with mostly Victorian era furniture and decor. Little vignettes made me feel that I had taken a step back in time. I saw an amazing ribbon cabinet, a Victorian bag holder and lots of other unique cabinets. Nice primitive pieces such as benches, wooden bowls and crocks filled a room. A case of antique and vintage Christmas decor left me drooling. A second room was filled with more formal furniture and crystal. The prices were high...really high. But the pieces were high enough quality to command the prices. The clerk also told me that that they will work with you on prices. The shop is a block off of 421 in Kirklin. Kirklin has antique and vintage shops, consignment stores, flea markets, boutiques, second-hand shops, and restaurants. More than enough businesses to entertain one for the day. It isn't a long drive from Indianapolis and just 40 minutes from Speedway. We do plan on going back before it gets cold to check out other stores in the area. Antique Cellar is well organized and extremely clean, and the displays are well thought out. The shop is large with a wide variety of items from general store merchandise, a large selection of antique furniture, primitives, table lighting, chandeliers, tobacco tins, gas pumps, vintage tools, antiques dolls, toys, quilts, vintage prints and advertising plus much more. The staff was friendly and happy to answer questions. The prices appeared competitive. But as with most antiques, the price is always in the eye of the customer. The store is good size, wonderful variety, and many high-quality pieces throughout.
