I had my grandson with me and I purchased 100$ plus worth of items. I was handed my sacks and I left. After I got back home I noticed I was missing items. I called , she said yes it's here. I left my name and phone number. I had a surgery and other life events happen, I forgot and wasn't able to pick them up. Instead of calling me to say hey if you don't pick up we will restock etc. I got no phone call she just put it back. When I called her at shop she said I was a manager at Walmart we do not hold things! It's your fault etc. I don't care about your life events! I'm not storing no belongings for anyone! I said that's really rude and unprofessional. They could have at least phone me before they just re sold them. ! No other shop has ever talked to me this way. I phoned another shop bc I lost something they called me back and said if you need anything please call us. The owner of this keepers was very rude, no good customer service! And heartless. I will never shop there again. And I have spent 100s of dollars there! I can not believe the way she spoke to me over the phone. She treated me like I was a theft off the street she didn't want in her store. No courtesy or compassion. Just it's all my fault etc. It was forgotten bc she put it behind the counter, added it up, but upon leaving it was left behind counter and not handed to me . If I was phoned back, I would have been right there to get it. Wasted money, and they got to make double the cash on those items. Just rude!

From the storefront, it looks like a small place, but inside (which also has an upstairs area), there are lots of nooks and crannies for booth space. After passing through the front room, I was greeted at the checkout desk. What I really liked about the place is that many of the booths were holiday themed which set it apart from most of the collective/flea market type places I've been to. There were items that looked like new, some antiques, some clothing, lots of holiday accessories too! I found a small Christmas tree decorated in quilled ornaments. I had to buy one for my wife! The clerk was friendly and welcoming. The shop is large with three rooms filled with mostly Victorian era furniture and decor. Little vignettes made me feel that I had taken a step back in time. I saw an amazing ribbon cabinet, a Victorian bag holder and lots of other unique cabinets. Nice primitive pieces such as benches, wooden bowls and crocks filled a room. A case of antique and vintage Christmas decor left me drooling. A second room was filled with more formal furniture and crystal. The prices were high...really high. But the pieces were high enough quality to command the prices. The clerk also told me that that they will work with you on prices. The shop is a block off of 421 in Kirklin. Free street parking is available. This shop alone is worth the drive.

Kirklin has antique and vintage shops, consignment stores, flea markets, boutiques, second-hand shops, and restaurants. More than enough businesses to entertain one for the day. It isn't a long drive from Indianapolis and just 40 minutes from Speedway. We do plan on going back before it gets cold to check out other stores in the area. Antique Cellar is well organized and extremely clean, and the displays are well thought out. The shop is large with a wide variety of items from general store merchandise, a large selection of antique furniture, primitives, table lighting, chandeliers, tobacco tins, gas pumps, vintage tools, antiques dolls, toys, quilts, vintage prints and advertising plus much more. The staff was friendly and happy to answer questions. The prices appeared competitive. But as with most antiques, the price is always in the eye of the customer. The store is good size, wonderful variety, and many high-quality pieces throughout.

Gizmo's was hopping when we arrived. The booths are close together and the aisles are tight, so with people and carts, it's crowded. The booths are fairly tidy. Most are filled with clothes....lots and lots of secondhand clothes. I saw a lot of video tapes and "collectible" toys. In general, there were a lot of fleas. In the 50+ booths, I saw only a couple of antique pieces. I thought the prices were high, but a couple booths offered sales. I left empty handed. Maybe that's a good thing. The clerks are friendly and engaging. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. They have an avid following. Just not me.

Residents and businesses participate in the Flea Market, selling their wares. There are also food and beer trucks. It makes for a fun day! This year, there didn't seem to be as many residents participating. And some of our favorite vendors from past years weren't there.

Full sized candy bars for 50 cents and other candies and snacks for less than a dollar. Love visiting to see what random things people have made, or what vintage furniture is available. I said to the lady behind the counter that not many people would pay $5 for VHS tapes and she responded with "Yeah, well we sell them at that price every day." I said, "You don't have to argue with me" and we left! Goodwill and other Flea Markets average $1 for VHS tapes, including brand new and sealed.
