It's the perfect size mall, not to big that I lose interest and not to small. The shop is tidy and the staff friendly, even funny and always welcoming. They were adding Christmas decor during my visit. The selection is mostly vintage glass and smaller items. There is a little vintage and antique furniture. Prices range from reasonable to absurd. I didn't buy anything yesterday, but enjoyed browsing. I check in regularly as the merchandise changes.

Service is good and while there aren't a lot of people around in the way of employees, the cashiers are good and there is an area where you can leave things you want to avoid carrying them around. I believe there are people around to help load heavy items, but I'm not sure of those details. Value varies greatly. Some things are very reasonably priced and others seem outrageously expensive to me, but I guess it depends on supply and demand.

I'm looking for that "Why would I come back here?" appeal that makes a business a destination instead of simply going to a big box store to get something. So when I stopped in after seeing a friend's photos of the shop, I first noticed that the staff was personable and inviting. I really like when a place that is offering things for your own home makes you feel welcome in their business. It sets a tone. As I browsed through the different rooms in the shop, each was a little different. There are some standard items like candles, knick knacks, some women's jewelry and accessories, and even a few toys. But what I sensed was there were two themes that seemed most apparent. First, the store is loaded with holiday items. I came here just a few days before Christmas and the place was loaded with unique items that were affordable (though not cheap.) There were ornaments (marked down by 40%), table items, and things you'll just have to come in and check out for yourself. I also noticed a second theme that was promoting downtown Indy. They had pillows with the names of neighborhoods on them. Those would be great as house/apartment warming gifts. Even the candles mentioned earlier had neighborhood names on them, though I am not certain who determined which scent represented them. (Note that all the fragrances were pleasant, not some actual scent you might smell outside!) And the staff were friendly and welcoming. That goes a long way. The shop is tightly and neatly packed with merchandise. There is a large front room and a second room in the back. The shop might be difficult to maneuver with a wheelchair or stroller due to the narrow aisles. She carries traditional antiques including an abundance of glass old ware. The small shop sparkles with all the shiny and colorful glass. Most of her stuff is higher quality antiques. She also carries a decent selection of vintage items such as Pyrex and globes. They carry a small amount of furniture as well. We saw typical Midwest antiques during our visit such as quilts and crocks. The owner is happy to help you find something specific. Their isn't a ton of furniture but several nice pieces with dining tables and a headboard, a few chairs and cabinets. I found a stack of new hats and fell in love with one I had to have. I have a collection of black vintage cocktail hats but didn't see anything today to add to that collection.
